Now — before anyone gets snarky — yes, I am aware that any protein powder is about as processed as you can get. I’m a vegan who is very active(like 10k yds swimming, 20 mi running, 3 days indoor climbing and more — every week) so I definitely benefit from a protein shake every morning. My options, however, are limited — I want to avoid soy protein isolate and anything based on legumes because it just doesn’t work for my body and causes joint inflammation and pain(on about the same level as dairy). I tried other vegan soy-free/legume-free protein powders and Sunwarrior is my favorite — it doesn’t give me an GI issues or diarrhea(sorry Vega — that’s just a bad reaction to too much beans — not«cleansing» — gimme a break!). What I like is that Sunwarrior is raw, vegan and totally soy/legume free — and the Classic Natural flavor is pretty neutral and not full of sugar. Mostly, I have ordered Sunwarrior online — but this year, I have had the absolute pleasure of dealing with their customer service by phone — in June and just today — and I want to give a shout out to their CS reps Carrie and Brandy — they are super friendly, professional, helpful and just grand! I really enjoyed my conversations with them and they made sure that I got what I needed. I have recently begun the transition to a Vegan diet for several reasons. One of things I look forward to in the morning is having my morning smoothie which consists of Bananas, strawberries, blueberries, green powder, peanut butter, Sambazon Acai juice, almond milk, Raw Oats, Raw wheat germ and other little secret items=) What I was missing was a plant based protein powder that I could add to my morning smoothie, that was until I came across Sunwarrior and the Warrior Blend Vegan plant based protein powder. I purchased this product at a local store in the Los Angeles area(Vitamin Shoppe) and was able to pick it up for locally for just about $ 37.00. I really dig that Sunwarrior is 100% Raw Vegan and that their product is made in the USA. I dig the ingredients and it does not take a Medical degree to understand them. The ingredients basically consist of Raw Pea Protein, Raw Cranberry Protein, Raw Organic Hemp seed Protein, Vanilla extract, Salt, Stevia, Natural Fibers(Fenugreek & Konjac) & Medium chain Triglycerides. All of the ingredients are fortified from Coconut Oil=) The Warrior blend is also Gluten free, soy free, dairy free, allergen free and a non-GMO product, which to me is very VERY important. Sunwarrior’s Warrior blends is a green product and in my opinion suitable for any diet or lifestyle, not just for Vegans. I dig the protein break down which basically gives you 15grams of protein per scoop. If taken once a day the 1 kilogram(2.2 pounds) will last you 47 servings. If you want to give this protein powder a shot you might want to try shopping around local Health food stores to avoid having to pay the shipping costs directly from the source. I made the switch to Sunwarrior Warrior Blend from MaxPro Vanilla. I was really worried about the taste, I was worried how it would taste with the contrasts of flavors I have in my morning smoothie. Well after smelling it, tasting it and working out with it, I have to say I am very impressed. As long as I am on this Vegan kick I will continue to give this business and this product my business.
