Horrible service! 5 people working with the restaurant filled with customers and 3 of them sit at a corner table and eat. The other 2 behind the bar watching tv. Not to mention, it took 10 minutes before someone asked us for our drink order. Then took another 10 minutes before someone picked up our credit card. Cleaning tables and eating were more important than tending to their customers. The servers were enjoying their meal while everyone was staring at them. Food lacked flavor. And the place is very dim inside.

The food here is always amazing and comes out in a decent amount of time. I’ve tried a few dishes here but my favorite is the spring rolls and the Phó. The staff is very friendly.

Yummy! Had the Shaken Beef Bun and it really hit the spot! Kids enjoyed their Phở and the Jasmine Tea was delightful. I just wish they had«Baby» bowls like some other places or a kid’s size.

Had dinner here with my boyfriend few weeks ago, we ordered fried tofu w/vegetable in brown sauce, hot&sour fish soup and seafood fried rice, you can definitely tell they use a lot of msg in their food. Seafood fried rice was tasteless, fish soup was too sweet instead of «spicy and sour», service wasn’t great neither.

When I actually feel like driving 30 minutes away to get some good Vietnamese food-the main, if not the only, place I go to is Phở Orchid. My baby brother is in love with this place, and if it was a closer drive-it would be our usual go to place instead of Dong Phuong, Ba Mien, or Phở Bang. In all honesty, since I’m Vietnamese-and deal with most Viet foods already-there’s always a usual dish I always go for, as well as my baby brother, which is either Bun Bo Hue or Phở Tai Nam. We always tend to buy the XL bowls, because in all honesty-their bowls are actually extra large unlike most Vietnamese restaurants I’ve been to. With just enough to fully cure any hangover, their Phở bowls are quite satisfying. Just as how my baby brother often orders Bun Bo Hue at every Vietnamese restaurant to compare to each other. He absolutely loves the BBH in Phở Orchid, specifically in New Orleans. Throughout our ventures of going to many different Vietnamese restaurants around the city, his favorite go to spot for BBH is Phở Orchid. With just the right amount of spicy, this Vietnamese restaurant has brought BBH to how it’s supposed to taste like. Although my mother had complained that this restaurant was too dark for their liking, lighting-wise(it’s almost like eating in a Hollister or Abercrombie & Fitch) it did a pretty decent job at satisfying us for my baby brother’s recent birthday.

Vietnamese food joint hit the spot. Phở Orchid Fried Rice(combination) came with no peas and carrots was super good. Cousin ordered the phở and ate it all. Ordered fresh lemonade was super cool and refreshing wished I’d seen the boba drinks first. Although the the entrees were delicious the portion size was smaller than expected.

While this is probably not the best Vietnamese food I have ever had, it is one of my favorite Vietnamese places in the area because it is convenient, reasonably priced, consistently good, and speedy. I usually get the Phở, which comes in three different sizes. I get the smallest size and it is more than enough food. The pork tacos are probably the main reason I can’t stop coming back. They have all the filings of a Bahn Mi, but encased within a steamed bun and not french bread. There are 4 tacos per order and they could probably be a meal on their own if you don’t share them. I would advise again the traditional Bahn Mi — the bread just isn’t right. My husband likes the pork Bun, which I pretty good, but not the best I have had because shredded iceberg lettuce always looks a little wilted and sad to me. They do a pretty good job at takeout and carefully package the ingredients of the Phở separately so that you can assemble it when you get home.

I order to go, tea, phở, and taco. And they didn’t put taco in my bag. And nobody answer the phone… are you serious? Don’t want to waste time and drive. Cost me $ 8 and get nothing…

Meh. That was my first experience here. I love Vietnamese food. I was excited to try this place after reading the reviews. My fiancé and I started off with grilled pork spring rolls; they were cold and really lacked meat and flavor. For our meals, my fiancé for Korean beef and friend rice. The rice was bland but the beef was delicious. I got their and spicy soup; bun bo hue. The soup was good but pretty oily. Over all, I wouldn’t make it a priority to come back here. I’ll stick to my regular places!

Grilled pork spring rolls served cold and lack flavor. The peanut dipping sauce was very thin and failed to add much, which is disappointing as I am a peanut sauce fiend and will often discreetly polish off the leftovers with a spoon once the spring rolls have been eaten. I didn’t touch the leftover sauce this time. For my entrée, I got the Korean beef sub fried rice. The beef was very tasty but the fried rice was basically plain as plain can be. There may have been some pieces of onion in there. Definitely not worth the up charge. My fiancé got the hot and spicy beef soup, which she liked, though it was a bit oily. All in all, there are better options for Vietnamese. Not a priority to come back here.

Definitely some of the best and most authentic Vietnamese food around! I usually get the phở or the vermecilli(shrimp and pork are my favorite meats). Taro root bubble tea is fun and delicious too

Great if you’re in the mood for a steaming bowl of «meh.» Hit them up for take-out and was disappointed: their to-go containers are quality, but are unfortunately more appealing than the food they contained… though the basil, sprouts, and lime were fresh, they couldn’t make the dull broth worthwhile. Bummer.

My favorite place for Vietnamese food in Metairie. Service is good and QUICK! Food comes out in a reasonable time. Their phở broth is pretty darn good. I’ve also had their bubba tea and its pretty refreshing also. They do have a bar with a decent selection of alcohol and TV to watch the game.

Service is superb, staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the entire menu. Lighting is perfect climate is just right prices are right on. Really enjoy this place and highly recommend if in the area.

Since the Phở Tau Bay hasn’t been there on Carrollton since Before Katrina, I’ve been wondering where I would get that type of traditional Vietnamese cuisine. I went to that Phở Tau Bay a lot back in the day. Anyway, I’m good with Eat Well for Banh Mi and there are a couple of fusiony, nouveau places I like, Mo Phở and Namese, but do I really have to go uptown somewhere or across the river for the type of food I used to get at Phở Tau? No, I don’t. Phở Orchid is on a side street off of Vets, kind of on the side of Clearview Mall. This means it is convenient to have lunch at if you are going to the Target or to the movies. the shrimp with vermicelli was so good and they sling a good iced tea. I added the egg roll and that was good, too.

NOTTOBECONFUSEDWITHPHOORCHIDEXPRESS. The inside is nice but very very dim. This was our first time their so Im not sure if it’s always that dark. Perhaps they were going for a romantic vibe but all I could think about was falling asleep and drowning in my soup. The phở broth by the way is very good! I also enjoyed the egg noodle soup.

GREETING: Friendly and welcoming DRINKORDER: Taken and served right away Me: Water — I know it’s weird to rate water, but we all know water at some places aren’t good. The water here is good. Wife: Traditional Iced Green Tea — Delicious! *Large, generous cups that don’t require refills. FOODORDER: Taken and served right away(these guys are quick!) *11:30 am on a Sunday and the place was about a quarter full, so not too bad. –Me: Phở(Large) with white meat chicken and an order of(two) egg rolls — What you’d expect from good Phở, but this was the next level better. The white meat really set it off and it all just tasted clean and therapeutic. I had the egg roll appetizers first and before even biting into the the Phở, we flagged down the waiter for another order. I’ll know to place an order for four next time — it’s that good! Wife: Grilled chicken bun and grilled pork spring rolls — very delicious with a generous amount of chicken. The spring rolls were the BEST she’s ever had and she’s quite picky about ‘em. SERVER: Soft spoken and efficient. He continued to check in on us throughout our meal. CHECK: Brought out at the tail end of our meal, picked up and returned in no time flat. COMMENT: We took our time during this meal and we were still in and out in just under thirty minutes. This is our first visit to a Phở restaurant in the state of LA and it’s clear there’s no need to bother with another. We will be regulars here for sure. Thank you.

I guess I can say this was the best phở in New Orleans because I don’t live here and I won’t be looking for another one. We had the spicy beef soup, fried calamari, pork/shrimp rolls and it was all amazing.

This is my new«go-to» Vietnamese restaurant in Metairie. For an appetizer, I really enjoyed the Banh Cuon with grilled pork. The grilled meat added more flavor to the vermicelli(bun) and veggies than the traditional pork. The slightly charred pork was perfect, and a complement to the plain rice wrapper. I ordered a bowl of Bun Bo Hue(pronounced boug ba way). This spicy soup was a nice change-up from my normal Phở favorite. It is a reddish-brown broth that has hearty pieces of beef stew meat. The broth is a unique balance of spicy, sour, salty, and sweet. And, you can taste the generous use of lemongrass. The round spaghetti-like noodles are different from those found in other Vietnamese soups. Fresh shredded cabbage is served as a side that you can mix into the soup. The soup was not too spicy, and this allowed me to kick it up with a squeeze of Srirachi. I thought this soup was excellent.
