I was up for the latest and greatest in cell phone technology, the iPhone 6. For the first time I hadn’t crushed, cracked or crapped up my old phone but was ready to get a shiny new phone. Thursday after Mardi Gras at around 11ish was by far the best time to go into this Verizon Wireless with no wait what-so-ever. The head dude sent me over to one of the women reps(Her name started with a J but can’t recall exactly what it was…) and she was great. She turned me onto Edge, their newest promotional contract but assured me that my contract would not be any more than it was before and I’d be able to switch out a phone sooner if I happened to want the latest, greatest in less time than the usual two years. We chatted about case options which she let me take them out of the case to get a feel for. She also kept me abreast of any costs and would ask if I’d rather pay now or have it on my next bill. I really appreciated this because I’ve been mildly shocked after switching out a phone of all the costs that get tacked onto the next bill, so I opted to pay then and there. She also pointed out that I could potentially get a work discount and could either bring in a pay stub or file it online. She did let me know about other potential deals and up-selling opportunities, but she wasn’t pushy at all. Just kind of an FYI. She set me up in less than an hour with my new phone outfitted in it’s new Otter box. My phone numbers were transferred but since I hadn’t used the cloud or updated my software before the transfer, I’ve been struggling getting pictures and other stuff on my previous phone to my new phone, so I could’ve had some more guidance in that area, but I think she did a great job overall. See you when the next latest, greatest urges me to walk through your doors again!
