Friends of the Family Child Care Center

We were very hesitant about putting our 6 month old daughter in daycare. Even though our son’s friend’s mother recommended FOTF, we still wanted our daughter’s childcare to remain within the family. After exchanging a few emails with both Kellie and Diana, I set up a meeting to tour the school. The team, hygiene and overall care of the children, staff, and location caught my attention. I won’t deny their rates are super affordable compared to the rest of the schools in the area. We enrolled both our kids just a few days later, and we were accommodated last minute. The experience with them has been nothing but terrific. The attention to detail from feeding, safety to activities to proper hygiene is beyond my expectations. Their staff is well qualified and works as a family. Their location is extremely convenient right next to the NJ Transit train station. They even offer after care for our son that goes to school in Edison. We couldn’t have asked for a better school. Both are kids look forward to going every day. What mostly makes me happy is that both our children feel welcome, comfortable, loved and are well cared for.

Coming from Brooklyn daycare to friends of the family was a huge improvement. My son loves going here. The staff/​owner clearly care and love what they do. I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.

My son, Emmett has been at Friends of the Family since we moved here 4 months ago and we are very happy with our choice. He is only 10 months old but gets very excited when he gets there (clapping and laughing when he sees the staff and his little friends is a good sign to me!) They have a very caring staff, and we get reports of his activities, meals, naps and notes everyday. This was MUCH better than the updates that we got at our last daycare in NYC. They were able to get him on a much better napping routine, which as a result, allows him to sleep much better at night. They have reasonable rates and a flexible schedule for our part-​time needs.
