5 Star Island

Stayed here a week in May 2015 for memorial holiday. Although, the property is nice and they have alot of family friendly activities at the resort; my stay was ruined by an infestation of waterbugs. We moved from building 20 to 21 and killed a total of five waterbugs during our stay. Was only on offered a $ 50 resort credit for our inconvenience, what a joke. BEWARE.

What an amazing place. Very nice and professional service. The party here was catered for by the in house chef and the views are breathtaking. Fun place to vacation and relax

Star Island ist eine ovale, künstlich aufgeschüttete Insel, die man auf dem Wege nach Miami Beach passiert. Wie der Name schon nahelegt, leben dort Stars oder zumindest Leute mit dem notwendigen Kleingeld. Damit ist eigentlich auch schon das interessanteste über diese Insel gesagt. Ein Besuch der Insel ist möglich, auch wenn das Gate House am Übergang zunächst abschreckt. Aber nach Notieren der Autonummer geht für jeden die Schranke hoch. Hinter der Schranke bietet sich einem deutlich weniger als man erwarten würde, nämlich gar nichts ausser einer der Inselform folgende ovale Strasse im Inneren. Sofern sich nicht zufällig einer der Stars blicken läßt, kann man sich lediglich die blickdichten Hecken vor deren Häusern ansehen. Also besser gleich weiterfahren nach Miami Beach (oder erst gar nicht hinfahren).
