Asi’s Grill and Sushi Bar

Great food and good service. (Especially the busboy!) Would definately return. Nice to find a new restaurant in an area that is saturated with many many restaurants.

Terrible place, overpriced food. The mill I ordered was too spicy, I left more than 75% untouched. Having see that waiter ironically asked if everything is ok. Tips are already included in the check

My wife wanted chicken breast — they had none.
Then she wanted mazah ball soup — they had none.
She ordered beef, couscous and vegetables — it wasn’t ver good, she didn’t eat most of it, and she threw up later at night.
I ordered salad and schnitzel — it was fresh but nothing savory.
I think her order came with the salad bar — but the waitress never mentioned that.
We dined with another couple — everything was severed at a different time — I’ve never seen that (normally restaurants make an attempt to serve people at the same time).

I really love the service! There where very attentive, the food was great I try the Spl Dragon Sushi and it was very testy.
Highly recommend!

Asi’s is decorated nicely. Definitely NOT romantic though. Parking on 41^st street isn’t hard to come by and I don’t think it’s necessary to make a reservation.
I enjoyed the chicken salad and sushi! We asked for ceasar and italian dressing, and mixed it together to top on our salads. It was great! Chicken was very fresh! We also tried a strawberry ices/​sorbet which was excellent because it was made with real strawberries.
Service could’ve been a bit quicker, but still a decent value. Wife loved the place as well.

The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because the wait service was friendly, good, and asked yours if everything is ok 3 times.

This was a FILTHY, extremely overpriced restaurant! What a frenetic, unappealing mess! What an insult to the customers! We were apprehensive as we walked in the front door, and should have just turned around and left. Only bright note was pleasant waiters and waitresses — but a terrible place otherwise. So overpriced for mediocre food.

Soooo I don’t know where to begin. First I never tried Israeli food so I came here with my friends. This place inside look like a fast food/​deli or something like that. We knew we maid mistake right away. Our waiters was a little unfriendly but ok. It was really busy. We ordered 4 big plates and one app and I don’t know how to explain the food. First no one explain us that we can use salad bar for free (guest next to us opened our eyes after 20min) Plates are big but food, hmmmm for my taste Nothing special. I had some meat mix with mashed potatoes and veggie, my friends same, and it was 28 $ per person (idk why because mixed meat is just some chicken and beef) and for 4 plates with no drinks our bill was 130 and something… for that money I would expect more.

Had couscous and veggies and tahini with hummus to start. Everything was great. Café style atmosphere, kosher menu… Husband had sushi — it was good

A great take-​out!

They are very busy and I can understand why… the food is delicious. We were all satisfied to say the least. Definitely order the buffalo wings. I like the fact that the buffalo wings taste great and they don’t get your fingers sticky because they come with three dipping sauces on the side. The baby chicken shish kebab was also great. I can tell that all of the staff are friendly and happy to be working at this establishment. The owner or manager is cool person. Four flatscreen TVs, and some art hanging on walls. All credit cards excepted. They offer outdoor seating, and free Wi-​Fi. You probably will not need a reservation unless you’re coming with a large group. I also noticed a shabbat catering menu.
If your want sushi don’t come too late.

Love this place, highly recommended! The whole night we had great service. Our server checked in with us multiple times a night to see if we needed anything else and was very helpful.
Our food was delicious. We had the deluxe burger with fries and grilled chicken breast with Israeli salad and fries. The burger was spicy and flavorful and huge! I ordered it well done and they were able to cook it through and still keep it juicy. The chicken was flavorful and well cooked. The meal came with a salad bar that included pickles, cole slaw, etc.

we thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The staff is outstanding and the portions are huge!
Great value for your money

Awesome meal!!! Delicious clean food!!! Yum! Had the grilled chicken platter!!! The grill man rocks!!!

So disappointing. Ordered from here to have some Passover nibbles at home for some guests. I know Passover menus are limited but the food was really terrible. We got the mixed salad platter, 1 out of 5 salads was edible, it went untouched. The gyro was typical, identical to, what you get at pita hut but the real setback for me was the chicken. It’s really hard to mess up chicken so I ordered a lot of it, breast, thigh, and legs. It was so dried out and tasteless and it looked like it should’ve been amazing. It was coated with a nice paprika like seasoning, but tasteless.
We ordered over the phone and it was chaotic and unpleasant. We placed the order and they were to call back in 15 minutes to, get my credit card info. They never called back so I called them but they wanted to call me back to get my info. I was about to jump on conference calls for, the next few hours so I asked them to call my husbands phone, they still called me anyway.
I will say they delivered the food intact no on time but it was overpriced and bad. Lesson learned, plan better next time so I can cook my own food for Passover guests.

Ordered a salad with grilled salmon on top, and bf ordered a burger and fries. Took literally 1 hour to get our food. Only 2 other tables with people inside, dont understand why it took so long. But the salad was AMAZING!!! Would love to come back and sit outside to have that salad again, if the salad wasnt so good, i would have given this place a 1 star rating. LOL the salad was so fresh and crispy and delicious :) Waiter was very nice and informative about the food, he sat with us when we were looking at the menu and deciding, but he was soooo slow

This restaurant is really dirty. I went with a group of people. I went in the men’s bathroom and there was no soap, and our waiter was a guy. For all I know he didn’t wash his hands! Then one of the girls in the group goes to the bathroom to wash her hands. She says that the sink is falling apart. Near my place mat there is a small pile of dirt. Now to the food. The chicken soup tasted canned. The shwarma was dry and tasteless. Kind of like wood chips. I ordered sushi and asked for soy sauce and I got some thick sweet substance. Only 2 out of the 5 things we ordered tasted good.

I have been coming to Asi’s for take out for almost a year now and the food has been consistently good and the service has been friendly. Asi’s has a great selection of pita and laffa sandwiches, filled to the brim with hummus, hot sauce, Israeli salad and tahini dressing. I recommend the falafel and shawarma, both are very flavorful and savory. The kibbeh are also consistently awesome, with a bit of heat and lots of herbs and spices.
The restaurant also features a selection of complimentary salads, including pickled vegetables, cabbage, etc. The hummus itself is so mouthwatering and fresh, I could make a meal out of the hummus and shawarma plate. Though I definitely do not keep kosher (huge fan of bacon-​wrapped cheesy shrimp poppers), I don’t miss any of my beloved dairy products when eating at Asi’s. Prices are a bit high, but typical at a kosher meat restaurant.

Always great food. The chicken Laffa and chicken pita are amazing, the best on the beach.
Tried chicken fingers for my first time tonight and the all sauces were delicious!
Other people in my party got the schwarma platter, sushi and shakshouka. All of it looked and tasted amazing!
Definitely will go back as I always suggest to go there with my husband when in the mood for warm, fresh food. Enjoy!

It’s obviously family run and service is rather slow and the most professional. The restaurant is a little lack luster and inspiration less. BUT, and I refuse to use the words normally OMG! Want real shawarma in a real pita? Don’t even try any other place this is it! I have to restrain myself from not going daily but I sure do keep it on my regular lunch spot calendar
