Based on the reviews we decided to order something other than the pizza that was sitting on display. I ordered the mushroom Swiss burger and my friend got the wings. Both were delicious. And the staff was friendly. My reason for the three stars is because both of us were overcharged by the same guy. Mine was $ 2 over and so was his. I let it slide but my friend went back to get a refund. So check your receipts carefully.

Pizza slices large. Price reasonable. Crust thin and done, which I like. Pizza GREASY and gave me a stomach ache.

Groovy’s has giant slices for a moderate price. I usually got for the cheese. Sometimes I pick the Veggie slice. When a slice won’t do you can go for the Sicilian slice! They are all good. Nice cheese and toppings. A good amount of sauce but your slice won’t be dripping. The staff is nice and even though it’s right off Lincoln it doesn’t tend to get too crowded for lunch.

I am here on vacation visiting from Chicago. I ordered room service. Carlos the manager was rude over the phone when I called to complain about the 2 missing cheeses I paid extra for my cheese fries. When I called back Carlos acknowledged that he forgot to add the cheese I paid extra for. Fries get cold quickly. I made a simple request for new fries with cheese to be delivered and he refused and was super rude. Hopefully this review gets back to the owner since the service and follow through was terrible. I was also told it would take 30 – 40 minutes and it took longer. As soon as I told Carlos I was going to make a complaint he attempted to fix this other after I told him that a complaint was coming. Bad service Carlos!

Should have looked at the reviews first. For someone who wants the BEST of Miami, look elsewhere. But for someone who is needing a quick HUMONGOUS bite of pizza, this is your place to be. As long as you don’t mind the snobbish customer service, and the thought that you really don’t know how long these pizzas have been in the window for.

Apparently if you don’t have tits hanging out you will wait for ever for them to even put your slices in… Even when there is no one else in the place.

This review is based on my experience on New Years Day, 2016. Lincoln Road was crowded and being a Miami local I was looking for something quick and different. So we get a table and the first thing we’re told is that there’s no pizza for 30 minutes. My initial thought was«probably shouldn’t have the word pizza in your name if there’s issues with keeping up demand.» However since I didn’t want pizza this wasn’t a problem. I ordered the lasagna $ 14 and a large Cesar salad for $ 11. I would have given this place two stars because the lasagna was actually pretty good and hit the spot, but the Cesar salad was basically a romaine salad kit with barely any dressing(generic mass produced factory stuff) and stale/soggy croutons. If I got this at McDonalds I’d probably feel ripped off but to pay $ 11 was just insane. As we were waiting for our food we discovered that pizza wasn’t the only thing that wouldn’t come in 30 minutes. When our plates finally arrived and we were eating, we kept hearing the same 30 minute pizza speech to other customers. Our server was really nice but couldn’t keep up with refilling our drinks since they were served in tiny 10oz clear plastic cups with lots of ice. Basically you could drink the entire beverage in one inhalation which I did several times. Not getting your money’s worth is nothing new on Miami Beach. Adding this establishment on the list of places to avoid, it’s basically a tourist trap.

We had a square slice of pizza with tomato slices and fresh basil for $ 6. The pizza was heated for a few minutes so that the crust was crispy, and the cheese was slightly melted. This wasn’t the best pizza we ever had but not the worst. Service wasn’t the friendliest but it was quick. Side note: the music inside the restaurant is played at a near deafening volume. Almost thought this was a disco club except no one is dancing here. Beware.

My cheese slice had no sauce on it. It was a thin soggy sheet of dough and about a centimeter thick layer of cheese on top. Disappointing.

While on my bday trip, my daughter suggested we try this place out. She has the BBQ chicken pizza and I had a chicken pizza with onions and some BBQ sauce on the side. Now, being from NJ, originally, I like my pizza«NY Style» but I can respect different types of pizza… as long as it’s tastes good. The pizza was good and the service was most definitely friendly. The only thing is that it doesn’t taste good the next day, which is why it docked 1 star.

Open late and one of the few options we had in the area. Second night coming back from UMF and just like the day before, we were starved. Do not order any of the pizza sitting out in the window. The pizza may have looked pristine once upon a time but not after sitting out in the sun for hours. There were flys swarming around it since the pizza was left uncovered… We ordered fresh pizza and the service was extremely slow. Granted, there were a lot of drunk people exiting clubs and searching for place to satisfy their drunchies. The pizza served its purpose but generally a place you’d want to stay away from.

This place is open late and conveniently located by a lot of clubs and bars. Is it high quality pizza? No. Is it great that it is by the slice and already made for your hungry drunchies? Yes. Is there usually no line? Yes. Is it probably a drug front based off the lack of customers and that it’s still open in such an expensive area? You decide. Would I eat here if I was sober and looking to have lunch? No. Would I eat here if it’s 1 in the morning and I have no other options? Yes, yes I would.

Went past 3 am and the owner didn’t want to serve me. After I said ok and said I just wanted a water, he begged me to order. Dude doesn’t know how to run a business.

I mistakenly thought that this Groovy’s Pizza would be the same as the other one(that I love) down on Washington. I was really wrong. The pizza here is simply awful. The dough is thick, undercooked, and extremely tasteless. I would never come back, and would definitely rather make the walk down the street in the scorching blazing hot sun of Miami and get much better pizza elsewhere.

To be fair, I didn’t have the pizza. Considering that this is a pizza place, maybe giving it two stars without having tried the pizza is unfair, but so’s life. I often drink at Finnegan’s next door. Waiting for a movie to start or reservation or whatever. That I do has allowed me to witness Groovy’s evolution from simple pizza place to hookah-renting restaurant. Recently, instead of drinking next door, a few friends and I stopped at Groovy’s for food and drinks. I ordered the burger and had a few beers. Now, pizza and burgers are not easily fouled up, which is why I chose the burger: I tend to be wary of food at the beach(all show, little substance), so I went with what I figured would be halfway decent. Boy, was I wrong. The burger had absolutely zero flavor. I felt like Kramer in that episode of Seinfeld where he loses his sense of taste just as the Mackinaw peaches are coming into season. I was pretty disappointed. Also, the service was abysmal. I’ve never been served by someone who affected apathy as much as this gentleman did. It felt like I was serving myself, and I hate myself. I guess I’d come back at some point for pizza. If I’m in a hurry and just need something fast. But even that, I think I’d be better off at Spris down the road.

Pizza looked delicious. but then when we tasted it, it was half raw. The garlic knots have no garlic in them and the waitresses only speak spanish.
