Okay so the drinks look fun, right? The drink in the picture is $ 45, only they don’t have the prices listed on the menu. Coming from Los Angeles I think I’d know something about an expensive drink. I ordered a mango daiquiri with no alcohol and they charged $ 16. For three drinks we paid 125 since they added on gratuity. All I’m saying is that I got swindled.

Great location… Excellent strawberry mojitos! I haven’t really had any bad food or drinks in Miami. For spending 2 weeks there (over two trips), I can say I tried most all the mojitos South Beach had to offer and this place has one of the best.
Stop in for happy hour and lunch specials. Food is always great and mojitos are perfect on a hot humid day.

Don’t post prices (which are exceedingly high) and include an automatic 20% service charge. $ 90 for two drinks. Rip off.

This place is a scam like everyone is saying. They give you a drink menu with no prices and suggests this and that. You finish your drinks and the tab comes out to be hundreds of dollars. This is a terrible way to do business, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

We sat outside on the patio and had some paella. We asked for 1 person, as we weren’t that hungry, however the waitress accidently brought it for 2 people, but she only charged us for one. And as «not hungry» as we were, we finished it all, it was so good!
The service was not very good, we had to flag people down a couple of times to get drinks, take our order, water refill, etc. However they made up for it by having a great attitude when coming around.
The only bad part was the people on the streets that kept asking for money while you were trying to eat. The employee would shoo them away when he would see it, but I guess that would happen to any restaurant on the sidewalk outside.
We also got a free champagne for checking in on Unilocal

After a night of clubbing, dancing, drinking, and throwing up, my friends and I wanted to get some breakfast before we head to the airport (we came to Miami for a bachelorette from CA), and we were bombarded with so many different menus on ocean dr. We decided to choose this place since they offered complimentary coffee and mimosas (but we didn’t want anything with alcohol) however we took the deal. I ordered a plate from their $ 8 brunch menu, and I was not satisfied. Their meal was too basic and I could have made this at home. I mean honestly, for $ 8 I guess it was what I paid for. I forgot what I even ordered, tells you that it wasn’t good if I barely remember what I ate.
However, I give the place 2 stars for the waiter who helped us. He was super friendly, and really excited to talk to us. Maybe it was because we all looked terrible and hungover, but he was interested in where we were from and chit chatted for a while. Worse thing though, we def did not want to think about alcohol but he decides to bring out some shots of sex on the beach and said it was LIGHT, we were like wtf. but ended up taking it anyways HAHA. Eh, better luck next time.

Avoid this place. Owner is a nasty ass money craving fatass. This place gets a one star because they over charge us, deceive us at the front to woo us in and then slap us with a $ 250 bill for 2 drinks and hooka. This is a tourist street but we aren’t stupid. I feel taken advantage of for nasty sweet drinks and rude customer service. And they fixed other girls bills but didn’t fix ours. There’s some effed up discrimination going on here.

So we stumbled upon this restaurant while it was pouring down raining and saw they had big drinks. LOL I think they were reasonably priced we paid around $ 30 for a 32 ounce drink. We had already ate so we didn’t try their food which look delish! The next time I am in Miami I will try their food but the drinks were good!

The music was amazing!!! The food was outstanding!!! The service… Hmm mm not so great. The server took forever to get our order and didn’t follow up with us to see if we needed anything while we were eating. We had to get her attention to get the check. But other than that the place was so much fun!

I never write long reviews on Unilocal but this is worth my time. Want to show you multiple steps of how me and my 7 friends were scammed:
1) lure customers in saying buy one get one drinks and free Shot of patron and 20% off
2) customer asks for water without ice, let’s bring them bottled water and charge them 16 $ for 2 bottles of water
3) customer order drinks don’t tell them there are two sizes one for 17 $ & other for 35 $, just straight up bring the 35 $ drinks which are fish bowl sized so no one in straight mind can finish by themselves and the buy one get one option can’t be utilized since its only one per person and can’t be combined and hence you can’t even be sober enough to get the free drink and there goes your free 35 $ without utilization.
4) Free patron shot talks only happen at the front door and when asked for the shot, bring them the house tequila and the waiter tells you they’re on me so you’ve to take care of me !
5) if the waiter by accident took the wrong order, force the customer to eat whatever is made or else it will take another 30mins to get your food!
Chips and Salsa have to pay for! AT WHAT MEXICAN RESTAURANT!!!
6) Waiter bring you the cheque service charge 20% included and tells you ooh you have to give me to they don’t give me the service charge they keep it!
& the food portions are small & even sides such as salsa are extra! Worst restaurant! Worst experience! Feel cheated!

Worst place with the highest price. The food price was make no sense to everyone. Never ever go this place again. 1 star isn’t even worth it

I think most of the places on ocean drive are very similar when it comes to food. Although, this place had a branzino dish that was very well flavored. The fresh vegetables were seasoned with sea salt that made taste very well. The branzino itself was so crispy and was finished off with a lemon butter sauce. It came with a slice of lemon that you could squeeze over the branzino for more lemon flavor if need be.
My friends ordered tacos and the meal only came with three tacos and no sides. We also ordered chips and gauc and wings as apps. The gauc was decent. The wings were crispy, the buffalo sauce came on the side for dipping as well as ranch. The wings came with fries as well.
The checks came with complimentary shots. Also, the waiter accidentally charged us the wrong amount so he gave us another round of shots complimentary. It was an honest mistake, and the shots were most definitely appreciated!

Service was good. Dinner was not. I’m not one to get caught up in the smoke & mirrors. Not to mention, in my field it’s not to hard to find authentic Mexican. The real deal is simply the best food in the world, so it’s hard to have a half handed effort regardless of the attractiveness of storefront or the beautiful ocean across the way. This place is one of the many reason we get away from Ocean Drive when it’s time to eat

We came here for my birthday, best decision ever!
They had happy hour 2×1 in all drinks; mango Mojito and Patron Margarita were fantastic. They gave us complimentary champagne for my birthday, thanks guys! We ate Guacamole and also the meat grill. Everything was delicious! We’ll come back soon! Thanks our server Arian

I really enjoyed my time here, despite the somewhat ugly interior and overall style of the restaurant. There was a DJ inside playing really great music, but there weren’t many people inside. It was much more happening at the outside dining area which is expected in Miami Beach.
The waitress was friendly and our orders came out quickly.
Appetizer– spinach and artichoke dip. Okay. I’ve had better, but nothing to complain about.
Dinner– I had the pesto penne w/​shrimp. I saw another Unilocal about it and felt it was a safe bet. It was really good and filling.
I would recommend this spot to those that are looking for a lively dining experience. Great for people watching and pre partying.

Kantina is a super typical SOBE place. It was a LOT of fun for just having a dinner. Great music, MC and happy hour pretty much alllllll the time. Happy hour = BOGO as in if you buy a mojito for yourself, you second mojito is free. We stopped here because we were dying to have a fishbowl drink. The super large drinks. We had the mojito and margarita fishbowls and man! they were strong. And deliciously dangerous. I would recommend to sticking to just one. Dinner was surprisingly good considering all the hoopla. I had the fish tacos and ceviche. Ate it all and would order it again. Service is spotty but hey its probably hard to serve people who are dancing in between courses.

Kantina, used to be called Corona Café. But now is under new management and a new concept.
The new dance/​bar/​restaurant in South Beach, right on Ocean Dr, trying to compete with Mango’s doing the live shows, but without the Mango craziness.
Inside the bar looks great, their «dance floor» its cozy/​small but the main event is outside, been latin and not cuban in Miami I always like to hear a good variety of music, and this Dj delivers!
Now about the food… The pizza is wood oven! Very VERY good one! The tacos! Oh my! the tacos! Sooooo good. I wanted to try a few of them so the server hooked me up and got me a taco sampler!
My friend had the gnocchis and she really like it, but the hubby had the chicken piccatta and as he said, was average/​non memorable at all.
Would I be back? For sure! For brazilian night!
