The atmosphere is nice, but that’s basically it. The food and service wasn’t comparable to this price point of this restaurant, even from the start of our dinner.

I really was excited about dinning here. Having been a long time resident of Miami Beach I had always heard so many great things about La Gloutonnerie. Nothing about the experience was exceptional, from the food to the service. The steak tartare was bland, and frankly tasted old. The roasted chicken entrée was as normal as something you’d prepare at home. The shrimp entrée was rubbery. The serve was aloof and inattentive. We never went back.

Fabulous experience, but surprising how quiet it was the night we visited in February! We got a great table on the patio on a beautiful evening and enjoyed the ride of La Gloutonnerie. I started with the french onion soup and followed it up with the penne alla vodka… one of my most favorite comfort foods. Everyone at our table tried different items and everyone was pleased — definitely high quality ingredients and it makes all of the difference. Beautiful restaurant, great service and amazing food — a winning combination for sure!

Holy crazy expensive batman. What in the world is going on in South Beach that people are willing to eat a meal worth a mortgage payment? While our meal wasn’t quite that much, it was overpriced for the value. Our waiter had some issues with communication and we finally got the dinner right. I did have to send back my shrimp because they just wasted funny(bad maybe)? The manager was quick to ensure I was well taken care of and brought a ton of sauteed scallops in it’s place. And they were very good! I appreciated their attention to customer service, but felt the value was lacking.

Food: Incredible. My girlfriend and I split hot foie gras, the ribeye steak, duck confit, and chocolate soufflé. We were stuffed by the end but everything was great. Ambience: We ate on the outdoor patio, with a reservation at 8pm. It was great ambience. Very intimate and romantic. Service: Very good. The wait staff was friendly, funny, and attentive. They were not overbearing but our water glasses were never empty and empty plates did not remain for long.

Went back to La Gloutonnerie for Brunch. Probably the best, most complete brunch I’ve had in Miami. There are SOOO many options to choose from. Everything from seafood to omelette station to crepes and of course a HUGE selection of desserts. My favorite was the Ceviche and the Octopus Salad. You definitely get the quality you pay for!

I am totally shocked by all the good reviews. Maybe this place is good if you wear Ed Hardy shirts and have never been to a good restaurant before. The quality of everything was sooo bad. And the staff has enormous difficulty communicating and are not trained. I asked for mignonette sauce with my oysters and the oyster server guy stared at me for 30 seconds hoping I would just go away. I had to find a manager, explain what it was(which is crazy since it is a French restaurant and they are serving oysters), and they quickly made it(poorly) and brought it out. The oysters were somehow the worst I’ve ever had(that hadn’t gone bad). I must reiterate that the staff is not trained(very basically, like if you ask anyone other than the guy in charge of the forks for a fork they will have no idea where to go). Everything here is quantity over quality. It is a shitshow and the food quality was bad and flavorless. They need to do half as many dishes twice as well. So much food gets wasted because you grab something you think cant be bad, like a shrimp, and it is actually totally unpalatable. As I am morally opposed to food waste, I eat what’s on my plate but I can tell nonetheless everything i don’t take just sits there and rots eventually getting dumped in the trash. Only reason I came here is because the Shore Club concierge pushed it very aggressively. My girlfriend said it was like a value buffet in Las Vegas(minus the value). Felt more like Atlantic City. Update: she got sick and threw up after. I subsequently had«stomach» problems myself as I had unfortunately not thrown up.

WOW impressive Sunday brunch. The inside of the restaurant is really nice, we opted to sit outside because the weather was amazing. The buffet is very impressing and the highest of quality. the desserts were amazing. $ 55 pp includes 2 alcoholic drinks and juice and regular coffee. I definitely will go back to this place. I was very impressed for a buffet. Highlights were the shrimp toast, the salmon, the salads, the ceviche, very nice assortment of cheese, fresh fruit, and pastries.

The food was great, but what puts this place at the top is the SERVICE! This was truly an incredible dining experience. My friends and I have been booking reservations at different locations in Miami to try out the Miami Spice menu, but this was a special occasion to celebrate one of my good friend’s birthdays. We even brought our own special bottle of champagne to celebrate were so excited. My friend that made the reservation unfortunately didn’t realize that night was not a Miami Spice night. After finding out the bad news, we debated for a while if we should go somewhere else or not, but La Gloutonnerie was very accommodating and allowed us to order from the special menu. The way they handled this situation meant a lot to us, as they did it with poise, and still made us feel like we were special guests in the restaurant. This place has white glove service. The bread came with a pâté spread. On the house pâté spread, simple things like this is what makes me all giddy inside. The Escargot was fresh from the kitchen, plate still hot, and the escargots were warm and delicious. I had the Basil Risotto with Parma Prosciutto and Shaved Parmesan, it was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Love the salty prosciutto against the basil risotto, very balanced to me. I shared my friend’s entrée of Dorade, the fish was cooked with the perfect blend of spices, the skin was very flavorful and seared tacky yet crispy and the vegetables under were also very flavorful(although I don’t really eat vegetables). We had a wonderful night, the servers and manager kept checking in on us, the bottle service was great and then we finally had desserts. We ordered two souffles for the table, grand marnier and chocolate flavors. The souffles are HUGE, so warm and delicious if you come here you have to get one. I don’t think you can see how big the soufflé is from the pictures. One is enough for four people. The staff made it special, put a candle and wrote«Happy Birthday» in chocolate on the plate. It made my friend feel very special and I’m happy to see everything worked out. So not knowing how huge the soufflé was, we also had the desserts from the prix fixe menu coming. The Strawberry Mousse was good, and I think I was too full to really eat my Lemon Tart, but the Strawberry is my favorite of the two. All in all, if you’re looking for place that will treat you well and make you feel special, definitely come here. If you’re celebrating a birthday or anniversary I highly recommend this place as they accommodate very well and the food is amazing. I get excited when I find good places, and this is one of them! Tip: They also have covers for the ladies if they get cold in the restaurant.

I love french food and I’ve read great reviews about this place so I’ve been wanting to check it out. Made reservations here last week for my friends and I on a Saturday night. I was planning to do Miami Spice, but I totally missed the fact that they don’t do Miami Spice on Saturdays — my fault –_– I felt so bad making my friends come here and I wasn’t organized enough to realize I made that mistake. One of my friends spoke to the supervising manager and he discussed it with the chef, and they were super nice to accommodate us! I’m so glad and appreciative that they were able to let us do Miami Spice! Thank you!!! To start, the bread platter was amazing and to boot they had liver pâté! I love liver pâté! All of us definitely dug into that and it disappeared within minutes. For my first course, I had to do the escargots. I love escargots! Yummy buttery goodness. First time I’ve ever had them still in the shells, but they come out so easily. Great bread dipping sauce too. For my entrée, I got the red snapper, which was seasoned beautifully. But what made it amazing was the vegetable medley underneath. Amazing. definitely recommended. For dessert, we got 2 ginormous souffles, a grand marnier and chocolate. I’m a chocoholic so of course I would say the chocolate is my favorite. But both were delicious! I would definitely get those again. The dessert that came with the Miami Spice was the strawberry mousse. Omg it was soo fluffy and melted in your mouth. I thought it was going to be dense and super rich like most mousse but it wasn’t surprisingly which was great. I am definitely coming back to try their brunch. It looks amazing and I had an amazing experience.

This place has great service and the food is really good. Went on a Friday night for dinner and it was kind of empty. The restaurant has valet service. The décor is ok, it is supposed to be a French restaurant but the décor really did not reflect that in my opinion. The Maitre D was really attentive and even helped us move to another table when i told him that i was cold, since we had an AC vent right on top of our table. We ordered a couple martini cocktails that were well made . My husband ordered a salad and i had the coquille Saint Jacques and they were fabulous. For entrees they had a couple of specials like yellow tail and branzino, which we ordered and we were both very happy with. They also have a pretty good wine list, we had a sancerre that was very good. But the highlight was dessert. Order the soufflé ahead of time, as it takes half hour to make. We had the Grand Marnier one and i was very happy with it. Delicious!

My favorite spot for Sunday brunch, though I loved it more when, just a couple of years back, brunch was less than $ 40. Now it’s a pricey $ 49 with two drinks(champagne, bellini or sangria). Impeccable service, quality food. It’s not a lot of varieties but whatever is offered is generally very good. I love the crêpe station. Their Grand Marnier crêpe is insanely good. They also make belgium waffles, and there is a warmer of bacon, potatoes, etc. Being a French place, their bread and dessert shines. The croissant is better than most I’ve ever tried, and they serve Isigny butter from Normandy. I really wish I have two dessert compartments in my stomach as one is not quite enough. The carving station usually serves two cuts of meat, like leg of lamb, roasted beef, ham, etc. There is a small set of warmers, serving four dishes, like cod, beef bourguignon and pasta. Then there are cold cuts and appertizers, with an excellent selection of pates, salmon, cheese(seriously, why can’t they serve some nice French cheeses — there is no brie or blue, and it’s American muenster instead of French munster), ceviche, raw oysters(served elegantly with a baby bottle of Tabasco and lemon halves in gauze). My complain? The dishes are placed on top of the case, which is impossible for kids or women less than 5’3″ to see what the dishes are.

This is by far one of the best restaurants I have experienced in the world, and I have been to a lot of countries. Atmosphere was amazing, the servers made you feel like you were a king or queen. Food was nothing like I have tasted before, everything was prepared perfectly and with style. I had 3 courses here and I would go back everyday for the rest of my life if I lived in Miami. This is a must stop place if you are only in Miami for a short period of time. I am for sure coming back here when I’m in Miami again! I had the Mussels and you get about 2 pounds of them with delicious jumbo shrimp and scallops with a white sauce on top.

Before my millionth trip to Miami I decided to do my research on some nice places to eat and definitely wanted some french food. Love the fact that it’s not in the hustle and bustle of Ocean, with a nice patio where I was thankful enough leaving a huge snow storm and being able to sit outside in the 70 degree weather! Just keep in mind that the portions are holy huge, and of course I made the terrible mistake of ordering too much and then eating too much bread(ps their bread with the pâté was amazing). The escargot was delicious, in the shell, a bit on the saltier side, which gave me another reason to eat the bread. The wagyu carpaccio was definitely my favorite all night, super thin sliced cold pieces of raw beef topped off with some parmesan shavings arugula and truffle mayo wow. It was so good I couldn’t stop eating it and wastefully I tried to stop my huge order of the bone in ribeye(perfectly cooked medium rare) and it was too late! My friend and I were so full we didn’t realize the amount of food they give and so as crazy as this is I asked if the servers wanted to eat it lol. I know it sounds mad but I cut a small piece just to try it and literally didn’t touch it and asked the servers to eat it because I didn’t want it to go to waste! It’s not like we had a kitchen back in our hotel room. They were pretty thankful and sweet about it, I just hope that they did eat it and it didn’t go straight into the garbage! Anyways good service, nice if you can get a seat outside, really mellow quiet atmosphere. I definitely had to check out the brunch now!

I read about the foie gras and had to check out the brunch offering. Their price is fixed for an all-you-can-eat buffet, and includes two drinks. The crepes are their morning specialty. They ave plenty of other pastries, and offer a nice selection of copa, prosciutto, and jamon. The ambience is quiet and relaxing, off the main Ocean Dr. strip.

I’ve had dinner and Sunday brunch here. Both were good but with pros and cons. Dinner: Service was on par and the ambience was elegant and nice. Our server was very attentive but i cannot remember his name =( Seafood tower(5⁄5) oysters, poached shrimp cocktail, & lobster tail was all fresh and good Filet Mignon cooked medium rare topped w/Foie Gras(3⁄5) ehh, the sauce was overpowering and did not go well with the steak in my opinon. it just wasnt there, the foie gras on the other hand was decent Chocolate Soufflé(5⁄5) OMG their chocolate soufflé is soo delicious that we even had it during brunch. Its soo soft and balance. Not too sugary sweet but still hit the sweet spot. Overall dinner is(4⁄5) Sunday Brunch w/unlimited champagne or mimosa Service was off compared to dinner, you literally have to flag someone down to fill your glass of water or champagne. I mean for the price tag I would expect to receive some service. The food served at the brunch was not really memorable basic and not really worth the price. From the breakfast station, carving station to the dessert station. it was bland. The best thing we had was the chocolate soufflé which was not part of the brunch but we ordered as addition to our brunch. Overall brunch(2.5÷5) Overall restaurant review is(3.5÷5) Mainly due to dinner and the chocolate soufflé

SINFULLYDELICIOUS. And pretty, too. This place is the latest SoFi stunner in a neighborhood that seems to get greater every day. It is absolutely superb. Not to be missed. And for God’s sake – go hungry! I was celebrating a birthday spa day with a friend at the«Bentley Beach Club» at the Hilton around the corner, and we were feeling peckish around lunch time, so we strolled around the corner to La Gloutonnerie. The outdoor seating area is absolutely charming. Service was impeccable throughout the meal. We each ordered a 3-course«chef’s special» lunch. Our waitress warned us that it would be too much, but we were tempted to try different things on the menu, so we threw caution to the wind. We ended up having the entrees boxed to go because after enjoying the salad and a gazpacho, we decided to go straight to dessert. Truthfully, a single 3-course meal would have been quite satisfactory for two. The food was absolutely sublime. This place turns the old truism, «small portions=fine food,» completely on its head. Plates are as generous as they are delicious at La Gloutonnerie. As we sipped the last of our sparkling wine lounging on the terrace surrounded by flowers and satiated by the most luxurious French cuisine, we started planning future visits to La Gloutonnerie – «We MUST try the brunch.» «And isn’t Laura’s birthday coming up?» «Flag day?» «Bastille Day?» Any day is a great day for a restaurant as splendid as this one.
