I was out on Lincoln Road with my partner on Saturday night and we decided to try something new and sorta play tourist. We passed by Rio Station and the menu looked interesting. The hostess was extremely nice, our server was awesome and the night was beautiful. I ordered the 16 ounce garlic picana steak with salad and black beans. They steak was cooked perfectly and tasted great. It totally hit the spot. I wasn’t crazy about the black beans, so few people do them like I can, but the delicious Long Island ice tea made up for it. My partner had the filet mignon topped with Gorgonzola which he really enjoyed. During the course of the entire meal our server continually checked on us, and that’s with an already included %18 gratuity. Had to leave extra for such a good dinner and service. I guess I’m one of the lucky ones, I probably wouldn’t have come here if I read the reviews first, but this place totally exceeded my expectations. The food was well worth the price in my opinion. While we were leaving the super friendly hostess waved at us goodbye with a huge smile and thanked us for dining with them. That was the perfect ending to our meal. :)

After a great day at Lincoln Rd my love and I decided to have dinner at Rio Station. It was during their Happy Hour time 4pm-7pm. The drinks were actually tasty, we had a pińa colada and margarita 16oz for $ 10 each. We were very pleased with the drinks. Unfortunately, we cannot say the same about the food. The serving size was really small for the price. The steak was almost all fat! Yuck! I had to remove the fat and was left with such a small steak! I really wished this wouldn’t have been the case because the environment was fun; nice music, nice crowd an nice waiters. Next time I will be picking another place to try.

Not good. — We got suckered in by the nice hostess. Food — super overpriced and the food was just passable enough to not complain! I got lobster and I actually had to spit out a piece because it was so undercooked. I am SHOCKED that I didn’t get sick. My husband got the full rack of ribs. It was OK. Service — Again, just OK. When I asked the waiter about a specific dish, he just responded that he «didn’t eat shrimp so he couldn’t tell me what its like» and offered no alternative or suggestions. Wine — I ordered a red wine and they served it in the smallest glass I’ve ever seen, and it was only half full(which, I know, is normal but usually in a decent sized glass!). The wine was decent but the glass was just ridiculous. Oh, and they charge for water. Penny-wise, dollar-foolish! If someone is playing well over $ 100 for their meal, charging a a dollar for water is just so petty. Overall, there is NOTHINGBRAZILIAN about this place.

I was in the mood for a hearty Brazilian meal complete with refreshing cold caipirinha and grilled to perfection meats… What we got was overpriced and generic food that cost as much as if we had gone to a delicious Brazilian steakhouse. We started w cheese bread… Yuck! All dough and not fresh. Salad… Boring… Wilted lettuce and onions… Y chicken was so tough and and dry that it was like jerky. Rice and beans… Nothing special. My boyfriend had the picanha… Also not up to Brazilian standard. My caipirinha was watery with no fresh fruit and had really bad syrup to compensate for lack of fresh ice and fruit. I was super disappointed. We won’t be back. Don’t waste your money here!

Stopped by with my boyfriend while we were shopping and received really great service but not really spectacular food for the prices. However this is in Lincoln Road Mall and it is a tourist trap. They have a selection of 200+ beers and a nice variety of drinks plus happy hour. I got a caprese salad with chicken and he got a picanha burger. The food was good but again nothing amazing and comparable to Giraffas. You shouldn’t go out of your way to eat here, but it is a good choice amongst all the restaurants here. Our waitress was super nice and always around if we needed her.

I dropped by on a south beach food tour, so I only had a small sampling of what this restaurant had to offer. Apparently it used to be a private beer garden, but has recently opened up to the public? Anyways, I had the cashew juice and a bolina(I think that’s the name). Both were delicious, I was most surprised by the juice. Apparently there is a cashew fruit in addition to a nut and the juice made from the fruit is really good. Hopefully I will return when I’m in the area. Plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas to shield you from the Miami heat.

I am actually surprised by the overwhelmingly poor reviews I am seeing, as I had a positive experience. After having a broken air conditioning system and my repairman canceling/postponing/rescheduling on me a few times, I finally was able to secure an appointment with him, but he was running late. Noticing that I was quietly upset, when I mentioned to him I was starving and heading out of my place for food, he told me he would pick me up and treat me to lunch to make up for it. Rio Station is one of his biggest customers, so he brought me here. He kept talking to me about this picanha sandwich and how good it tasted, so I decided to follow his suggestion. While service was somewhat slow at first, it was probably because we sat at the bar(which has a very cool granite counter that lights up from underneath so the whole counter glows, it not only looks nice but makes it easier to read paper menus). I came here on an afternoon, when the place was not too busy. The music was not too loud, and a few people were eating outdoors. The picanha sandwich came with arugula, mustard, and shaved Parmesan cheese. A large side of fries accompanied it and the price was $ 14.00. The sandwich packed two thick slices of tender, juicy picanha, which I ordered to be cooked at medium temperature. As soon as I took a bite, I had juice running down my lips and chin. The arugula gave it a nice bitter flavor, which complimented the meat. The amount of cheese was very light, so it did not overwhelm any of the other flavors. I was not expecting much meat for that price, considering it’s South Beach, Lincoln Road, and a tourist trap mecca, but I was pleasantly surprised. The fries were tasty and hot. My sandwich was a decent size, and I was full for many hours after this late lunch. The staff was quite friendly as well, and service improved after I initially sat down and waited some time to place my order for a drink. Perhaps that is my fault for expecting the bartender to come up to me and ask me what I’d like to order, rather than me getting his attention and placing my order. I have not tried their order dishes, but in addition to sandwiches and salads, they also have entrees. Prices are somewhat high in comparison to other neighborhoods in Miami, but that’s also the case everywhere on Lincoln Road and most all of Miami Beach. Considering the amount of food they give you, the flavor, and the quality of the meat, as well as the location though, it was reasonable. Also, if you’re a beer drinker, which I am not, there’s an even bigger to come here: they have 200 beers of the world, so your choice of beer is never ending. If you have wanted to try an exotic beer before but could not find it, hurry on over, because here is your chance!

This place was very disappointing. I expected more for Lincoln Road. We got to Lincoln Road early that morning and there wasn’t much open at 11 am. We settled for this place after looking at their lunch menu. My boyfriend had the pichana skewers and I had the pichana sandwich. His skewers had the smallest pieces of onion & green pepper we’ve ever seen. The fries were incredibly under cooked. I couldn’t eat them. They also charge you $ 1 for water. The only good thing about this experience was the strawberry lime cider I had. It was delicious. I would go back only for beers as they are all $ 5. Our lunch was over $ 60 after tip & tax. Not worth it at all. ugh.

First things first: They don’t even offer water for free. They charged for tap water. The food tastes fine but our order was messed up on almost everyone’s plate and instead of apologizing the waitress just said I can get you some sauce like she was doing us a favor. The sandwich CAME with sauce lol Poor service. Expensive for nothing special. If it was super cheap I’d understand the rest.

Wow, what a disappointment this place has become! I used to come here often back when it was known as Zeke’s; It was a very simple, no-frills beer bar that featured 200+ beers from around the world with seating at the smallish L-shaped wooden bar inside, or at outdoor patio seating in the middle of Lincoln Road. When I first started patronizing Zeke’s back in ’07, beers were $ 3 each… The best price on the beach, or at least the touristy areas of the beach. They had no hard alcohol and I think the only food offerings were popcorn and maybe hot dogs. I then saw them change the name to Rio Station, add more taps, increase prices, etc. but it was still always a solid beer place and I always had good experiences here. My most recent visit here was crap. The first thing I noted is that the outdoor seating, which used to basically consist of simple patio furniture, was now more upscale and color coordinated, with proper place settings and matching umbrellas overhead. The next thing I noticed was that the signage for the 200+ beers was gone and it had been replaced by signs for meals and food selections. I had to go up to the people working the entrance and ask if they still featured a large beer selection. They said they still had lots of beers and gave me a menu. We went inside and had a seat at the bar, which is now made of stone and is backlit(nice touch) and I quickly saw that, rather than the entire area behind the bar being lined with beers, and seeing several taps in front, now they only had I think 5 or 6 selections at most on tap, a few coolers with bottles, and have upgraded to a full service bar, with the liquor displays taking up about ½ the space. My friend noticed a tap with a certain brewery’s name on it, he asked the woman behind the bar which of that brewery’s beers was featured, and she quite literally had no idea what he was asking. She called in one of the guys from outside, and he rattled off something, but we could tell that even he was unsure. My friend asked if they had a tripel available, and the gentleman said they didn’t. Actually, I think it was a situation where the staff simply had no knowledge of beers whatsoever, which again is a bit sad, as in the past at least one or two of the people on staff at any given time seemed to know their stuff. Regardless, Rio Station is a far cry from the beloved Zeke’s that I had once given 5 solid stars to and patronized regularly. This is no longer a place that would come to the front of my mind when considering a bar to bring friends for a pre– or post– dinner drink on the beach as it once was. RIP Zeke’s and the initial incarnation of Rio Station.

The food was good but the service was horrible. The steak was delicious. The side of rice was VERY smal. The asparagus where so thin and hard. The waiter just drop the food on our table and left. It was a very unpleasant experience and we definitely not going back there again.

This place is okay for a chill drink outside with friends. Not sure if I would eat there as the bathroom was very poorly up kept and on the way there passing the kitchen it seemed the same way. Sitting outside was cool the giant margaritas are GREAT but they are very pricey! I’ve had them in NYC for half the price and everyone knows the drinks in NYC are way over priced. They told us the giant Margaritas with the Corona in it was 32 dollars but than when the check arrived they charged separate for the coronas … with tax and gratuity it came to $ 52! A little ridic for a drink I don’t care how big it is. The waiter was attentive and friendly and the host as well! We had a large group of 10 and she quickly put tables together to accommodate our seating!

Deceiving practices and rude! I ordered an appetizer recommended by the hostess. Once I was seated with my wife, my server, Daniel Santos, asked if we wanted anything to drink and we just asked for two cups of water. The server brought two cups and poured water from a large glass bottle with the brand«Vero H2O» and left the bottle on the table. I immediately began to wonder if the bottle was complementary or not since the server never said anything about the water being an additional cost. I also noticed that the bottle label says, «Sparkling Water,» but the water tasted like regular tap water, which is what I thought I was getting when I told him we wanted two cups of water. When I finally got the bill, I was charged $ 2.00 for the water. I asked the server about the charges and he said they don’t serve tap water and that it says it in the menu. According to him, tap water isn’t good and that they only serve purified water. I told him that I didn’t asked for bottled water, and that he should have told us when we asked for tap water, that they only offer bottled water and that it’s an additional cost and I wouldn’t mind then. So he said he was going to talk to his manager. The manager came and asked me what was wrong and I told him that I didn’t asked for bottled water and that I should’ve been notified it would’ve been an additional cost. The manager gave me an attitude and told me the same bolony the server did. To make matters worse, the manager said it was only $ 2.00 and that it was a reasonable cost. I told him it’s not about the money, that it’s about the principle. He then went back and removed the charges. Ohh, and they also charged me a so called, «service charge,» which I never heard of. What’s the point of having a server if they are also going to charge customers a service charge for bringing the food you’re paying for. Please future customers, look at my receipts.

Another tourist trap on South Beach. We came here for happy hour, the hostess sat us, and we waited 15 minutes for the waiter to come greet us. We told him we wanted to drink beer and weren’t really hungry, so he proceeded to tell us we had to vacate the table if we weren’t going to eat. I understand it’s busy, but I had already told the hostess we just wanted a drink and she took us to the table! Terrible service, indeed. We left. Reading the reviews, I’m glad we dodged yet another bullet on Lincoln Road.

Still great deals on drinks. Nice vibe and friendly servers. Not sure how the food is because I’ve never had it but the prices for drinks are great. Come for happy hour daily from 4 – 7 for $ 4 any beer! 2 for 1 mojitos, caipirinhas, or margaritas. Plus select $ 5 appetizers. Nice cheap watering spot before heading somewhere else for the night. Super convenient too along the shopping area :) only thing is, service was a little slow but nothing too shabby.

I’ve actually been there twice. Ummm… where to start. I got there after a long day at work with one of my co workers that’s never been there. The severs were really attentive UNTIL we mentioned the«check-in offer» by Unilocal =10%(Hey don’t judge… tough times) it was then when the attitude changed, our originally friendly server seemed a little bothered by the fact we wanted to use this offer, regardless they took it, but they added 18% tip(maybe they thought we were cheap :-O !!!) but anyway… overall I thought the food was good(notice I didn’t say«great!») and the prices are average, comparing to the rest of that«tourist trap!» Called SOBE!
