Tequila Chica’s

Service is terrible!!! And they don’t care. Waitress took 30 minutes to take order…15 minutes to bring me a menu…:it’s so ridiculous… spend your money elsewhere!!!

My friends and I decided to stop here after an event nearby since there was enough space for our large group. Now for the positives first, the location and patio area. This is an easy area to get to from the beach and is at the end of Ocean Drive making it pretty convenient to get to Lincoln Road. The best part is really the patio area since it has a nice open feel with lots of seating.
Sadly though the positives don’t help this place enough. Food and drinks were pretty pricey, plus they added a mandatory tip on the bill. The service was poor and it was hard to get the attention of the server when we needed anything. Everyone pretty much ordered tequila for drinks, but unfortunately not everyone received the correct tequila orders. The mistakes were not fixed by the server since she seemed to disappear once food and drinks were delivered. We also ordered the nachos as an appetizer and they were pretty poor quality and small for the price.
Overall I found the experience to be below average and definitely would not stop here again when in South Beach.

They have a nice setup here right off the beach, plenty of screens and nice patio area. My major issue was that the frozen margarita I ordered had some foreign material in it other than the fresh fruit.

Horrible service, horrible. Two stars for the food and atmosphere.
We were seated immediately however… our waiter walked up to our table and said «hold on»… then started serving two other tables that day after us, right in front of us. It was borderline hilarious. So we picked up our menus and moved to the bar since it was empty.
Overall ended up being fine at the bar… The bartender was nice and the mimosas were on point (not too much OJ). The food was ok, but I will say the Sombrero burger was very juicy and delicious.

Came in almost 2 weeks ago on a late Friday night and the perfect seat. Had the nachos and quesadilla. It hit the spot as we were hungry. Music was great. Atmosphere was nice and the weather was perfect.

Great and kind service, close to the beach and very good mimosas! Fruit parfoit was and excellent breakfast.

the hosted was so rude ! I called her so she can get my waitress (since she served me a drink and i never saw her again) and the place wasn’t even busy. The hosted just listened to me when to get my waitress and she didn’t even reply me back she just ignored me and passed by like we don’t exist ! The hookah overpriced! And sucks!!! We didn’t even finished our drink and leave this places, I feel bad for the owners to have such a horrible staffs.

Worst service ever. I was just there for 15 minutes say the bar and the bartender was talking to her friend. Never came to take my drink order. When I asked for a menu she came and threw (literally) a couple of wet menus. Don’t even bother.

Came here for hookah and drinks, ended up with an I smokable hookah because the bottom glass container was so filled with mold we almost threw up. Don’t waste your time.

Very slow service. The food is expensive and poor quality. DON’T EAT HERE! It’s a trap for tourists who don’t know any better. It looks great from the street then disappoints and over charges inside.

We come here every time we go to Sobe. It’s always our last afternoon stop before going out at night. Sit outside and eat guacamole. Great margaritas. Nothing crafty or out of the ordinary but always good and not all sour mixey. Good place to do a few shots of tequila! Tacos are worth trying as well.

Nothing special about this bar. Waitress was very ignorant. The drinks were discussing and expensive. We took margarita and mojito and the check came out to $ 40! Completely not worth the price… We asked to them to change tv so there won’t be only basketball playing on all three screens… They ignored us!
I am never coming back there again!

I came here late night because of the 2 for 1 deal they have on drinks for HH. Drinks were delicious made with a good amount of alcohol.

Food was fine, but service… Not so much.
My wife and I came around 6:30pm on a Friday. The restaurant didn’t appear to be very busy, yet it took about 15 minutes after we were seated for our waitress to acknowledge us. We ordered drinks (a margarita and a beer) and waited about 10 more minutes for those to arrive. We placed our food order — I had steak tacos and my wife had a chicken burrito, plus we got an order of chips and salsa and a side of rice and beans.
When the chips came (took a while but I’m not sure of the time), I was impressed with the flavor of the pico de gallo — it was great and had a little kick to it. Our food took probably 15 – 20 minutes after the chips, which was fine as you expect to be able to finish the appetizer.
The tacos (note: only two of them) were very good, and the steak was both flavorful and well seasoned. My wife’s burrito was also good, but it should be noted that she asked for guacamole and received salsa.
After our meal, though, is when the fun began. We asked for our check and two boxes, which were brought to us fairly quickly, but we sat with our cash, waiting to pay the bill, for at least 20 minutes. I got up to look for our waitress and couldn’t find her. Another patron in our section was waiting to be acknowledged for the first time and went in to find her. I then saw her bringing a hookah (and partaking in it) to another table. Side note: hookah at a Mexican bar?
Still before she came to get the bill, a busboy came to clear the table and we asked for a manager. At this point she finally came, we asked her to get the manager as well. She spent a couple of minutes asking what was wrong and I pointed out that she was doing hookah while we were waiting. She then went to find the manager and came back 5 minutes later saying she couldn’t find one. We were beyond frustrated at this point, so I asked for a pen so I could make an adjustment to the semi-​mandatory 18% tip. She offered to give us free food (not off our bill, but additional items), but we really weren’t hungry and didn’t want to stay any longer. She then made some excuses about being «tired» and having to work the night before. We paid our bill and left.
Overall, food was good but overpriced for the portions, and service was barely existent.

What a joke these drinks have NO alcohol in them. No wonder this place HAS to be a Mexican and Italian and hookah bar to make ends meet. They cheap out on drinks and bartender is half way in outer space. At least our server personally was nice. Besides that place is shit!!!

2-​for-​1! It’s hard to find affordable drinks on the south beach, let alone at a prime location like at the Tequila Chica’s.
We sat down here on a quiet Thursday night before the storm (Labor Day Weekend!), and ordered a couple of drinks… The Mango Mojito and Caipirinha were pretty good. and the best yet, 2-​for-​1.
The atmosphere was really chill, and there were also big screen TVs around… we heard the bar tenders were hot, but didn’t see any. but our server was pretty nice. it took a while to get them to refill the drinks, but that’s ok…
Drinks were relatively strong, and if you are with good company, this is a place to start your night.

Cons: so many servers but no one seems to do anything, wants to do anything or knows how
: forever for food to come and don’t have any questions cause they’ll look you in your eyes and will not come to see what you want
: hookah was decent bit they only give you one coal, don’t really full up the bowl don’t give you tongs, ect… I can go on and on …
Pros: food when it finally came was decent so for some wings, one person hookah, n glass of sentry I was charged with top included 50 $ never again will we visit this place which loojs nice inside n out but staff is crappy

Okay drinks. They do have many specials though so the prices are not bad … however I’d rather pay a little more.
The lights are cool that’s what attracts people to go in…
The bathrooms are filthy and the service was pretty slow.

Ok place. Went at night so the décor was pretty. You have the selection of Italian and Mexican which sort of made me feel unsure
Positive: great food. I had the chicken quesadilla and my husband had the burrito. Both were tasty. Also had a mojito mango beverage which tasted good. Good music
Negative: very sensitive of cigarette smoke, so I moved to a table as far away as possible. High priced items (but hey it’s south beach).
they add a 18% gratuity to you order which I find bogus since service was pretty lame. Our server never checked on us when our order was sent to us and we ran out of beverages. When we wanted to leave and get to go boxes, we had to make our way to the bar to find someone to actually help us.

This is not the most efficient place in Miami– nor the cheapest. I ordered the Miami Vice Coronaritas and it was $ 42! I’ve been told other places can charge up to $ 65 but still. that’s hella expensive. The food was ok — I tried their calamari and their nachos.
It a good place if you have a large group because it’s never really busy so you can guarantee that your group will have a place to sit.
