Bazaar that it took it 45 minutes to serve two hamachis and a tuna tartar. We left before ordering mains. 40 items on the menu. What a shame; I was so excited to try this restaurant

Huge disappointment! This place is clearly overrated and outrageously pricey for what it is. We really expected much more. We gave the waiter full freedom to dine us with the best the restaurant had to offer and sadly it was largely a disappointment. Usually my boyfriend is so disappointed with a place he feels inspired to really roast a restaurant. Since he doesn’t tonight is why we leave this chic and trendy location with only two stars. But don’t come here with the intention to eat well.

My date and I left our dinner in the hands of our server on Monday night(February 15, 2016). He did an exceptional job from start to end! We started off with the smoked oysters which I think I inhaled too quickly in the beginning and kind of coughed because ok the liquid smokiness. When I knew what I was getting into I took it easy the second time around. It was very creative! I love the taste of the smokiness and the apple tasting at the end. Our server then brought out the Singapore’s favorite street food Kueh Pai Ti which had shrimp, chili sauce and peanuts inside a thin wonton cup. That was so flavorful! I wanted more! Next up was the Bao con Lechón which I don’t ever eat pork belly or burgers or sliders but I figured I’d try it anyway. It was so perfect! I couldn’t believed that I was enjoying that and could have eaten the other one if my date didn’t. I loved that I could taste all the flavors from the pork belly to the chicharrones to the Chinese steam bun and lastly the chayote kicked in and it left a good after taste! Amazing! Then our server brought out a beet dish and I was like Oh No! I’m not going to like this because I don’t like beets but strange enough. It had goat cheese in the middle and sprinkled chocolate on the plate which made it pretty good! Definitely a surprise! Next up was the dragon fruit ceviche! I thought this dish was cute how it was done! I loved the dragon fruit and the the pecan in lemon but I could hardly taste any tuna that was suppose to be in it. I don’t think I would consider that a ceviche but it was still inventive. Then came the fish in the bag(Fish en Papillote)! LoL– I know this is a new thing so I was like ok let’s give this a try and it was ok it wasn’t bad but it also didn’t stand out. I would say that the crispy quinoa was a nice touch on the fish. Then, this pork was brought out with this little tomatoes look-Alike sauce balls and basil on the sides. I was full at this point but I still had a couple of bites. It was ok to me. I liked the sauce idea when it burst. Then I thought I was full but the server brought out the Coconut rice that was served on a half shell. I loved the coconut rice! It reminded me of being at a Thai restaurant and having the coconut soup. I really did like that coconut rice but I was completely full. We barely touched the fish, pork and rice because we were full. Out of those last 3 I would’ve chosen the rice to finish if I could’ve. As we were talking a guy came over with what looked like it was going to be our dessert made at the table. Which it was! Liquid nitrogen sorbet that had liquor in it which I forgot what type. It was very cool to see him whip that up really quick. He said we could either eat it like a sorbet or wait until it melts and drink it like a shot. I took a couple of bites and it was strong so I started mixing it with my spoon and waited until it melted and took the shot. It was a nice refreshing shot after eating. Great experience with our server and great experience trying Jose Andres restaurant!

My husband and I had dined at The Bazaar on the evening of Feb 9th. We had gone to a conference that took place at the Diplomat, and while the hotel was a 4-star, the food wasn’t… And we were looking to splurge on our last dinner before heading back home to nyc. The food was fab, but what was even better than the food was Luis Garcia, who was our most perfect, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic server. Easily the best server we ever had(we are big foodies and have traveled to over 40 countries and tried many cuisines/restaurants in the world). Luis gave out the most perfect, detailed description of each plate and we had a marvelous time. The restaurant is very luxky to have Luis. Thank you Luis!

I was invited to a large group dinner, people from out of town and the experience was so memorable I am taking the time to write the review today, after several months(if not years) of inactivity. I had the tasting menu and I still remember some of the dishes like the tuna that came in a little tin, the gold wrapped caviar appetizer, the oyster shooter, and its been a while but it is still the place I recommend to this day in Miami Beach for the quality and originality of that tasting menu still lingers in my brain. Thank you for an incredible dining experience.

The food is excellent and reflect uncommon combinations. The Tapa choices are diverse and uniquely formulated. The Singapore rice tapa was excellent and they are correct to have you eat it in one bite. The must try is the salt air margarita and probably one if the best I’ve ever had. The servers are attentive.

This place is amazing and unique. Every single thing I have eaten has been great. Japanese peaches. Extensive wine list. The service is great. Every server knows every dish by heart. Every ingredient. How it’s prepared. Wonderful atmosphere too.

Incredible experience at an extremely nice restaurant. Came for a select event inside of the SLS and grew a bit of an appetite after the 2 hour open bar. As you sit inside you have to enjoy the atmosphere and attention to detail put into everything. Our waiter Julian was extremely knowledgable on all of the restaurants signature appetizers and entrees. I literally let my waiter decide all of the dinner items that we ate. And I have to say I was not disappointed in the least. Every item chosen was better than the previous. I would not give anything but 5 stars to this establishment. Thank you for making that Saturday night one to remember

I’m a huge fan of Jose Andres. I’ve tried many of his restaurants including The Bazaar in LA and Bazaar Meat in Las Vegas, both phenomenal and an unique experience. The Bazaar in Miami is terrible relative to his other spots, and gives Bazaar a bad name. This restaurant tries to incorporate Miami and East meets West influence on the menu, and in my opinion, fails horribly. This is my second time trying Bazaar in Miami — my first time in Bazaar Miami was so disappointing, that I thought maybe it was an off night so I decided to give it second try this year, and it was still equally disappointing, although my server was notably more knowledgable and attentive than my server from the previous year. My favorite dishes of the night were the Smoked Oyster(which to be honest, was over-smoked when I tried it in the Las Vegas location so I was very happy when these came out perfectly), and Not Your Everyday Caprese Salad, and the Cubano(a play off Andres’ famous take on philly cheese steak). The disappointing dishes of the night were Foie Gras PB&J(just too heavy), Coconut Rice, the grilled steak with coffee foam, and the frozen blue cheese(this was served as my last course, which clashed with my overall meal). My OK dishes were the cheese plate and bagel and lox — they were all good bites, but way overpriced for what it is… Our server gave us complimentary cookies for dessert, which was very nice of him, but I don’t think I’ll be coming back here for awhile.

THE place to celebrate in South Beach if you’re ready for extremely mouth watering foods and alcoholic drinks. Although pricy, it’s worth it. I came here for my birthday with a group of 4 people. Absolutely amazing experience. That sums it up. It’s about the experience. The staff is very hands on, interactive wise, and will come to your table to make drinks and prepare a few dishes. I fell in love with the décor and food at the Beverly Hills location so I wanted to try the SB location. It didn’t disappoint! We racked up a hefty bill between 4 people of $ 836 — so it’s definitely costly. A tip, if it’s your birthday — you can register prior for $ 30 off. Known for tapas, their small plates, you would have to order quite a few to get full. My absolute favorite? The Cubano and Beef Tartar. The cubano consists of an air bread with thin slices of meat on top. This gets messy though as the inside is filled with a thin cream. The Tartar, flavored rare beef wrapped up in bite size chews. Best two things on the menu! I would also recommend getting the meat and cheese trays. Few different types of meat, cheeses and breads(that the staff will tell you is time-sensitive, so hurry up and eat it!) is a great starter! My date loved the caviar cone. A small bite-size cone for $ 16 but he says its worth it! We also went ahead and tried the bone in rib-eye steak. That was $ 140 alone. It was well prepared and satisfying but it did not compare to the juices and flavor of their $ 21 Churrasco. That’s the only area in ordering where we went wrong lol. Other than that, everything on the menu is a hit. The chefs know what they’re doing.

Good, but terribly overrated. Granted, my family and I came here for dessert and not a full-blown dinner dining experience, but still, I got the picture. We sat outside by the bar where we can seat ourselves. The table was dirty but they cleaned it up quickly. My mother and I each ordered a tea… for $ 9. Crazy. They serve it in a wooden box with a wooden spoon and honey, which is really cute for the presentation, but they make it seem like the tea is loose-leaf, but it’s a tea bag nestled in the leaf compartment of the teapot. YOUARECHEATING! At least the tea selection was good. My brother and I shared the s’more chocolate cake dessert which, when they brought it out, they had someone set fire to it for presentation purposes. A nice touch, but it wasn’t AMAZING, it was… decent. The service is pretty good and the ambience is what makes this place really great, but at the end of the day, it isn’t really worth coming here for a dessert, a few teas, and a glass of wine that’s going to cost you $ 60.

I love the drinks here. Order anything and it’ll just bring a refreshing twist of flavors, citrus scents, and even a relaxing after-taste to each sip. The bartenders are on par with speakeasies; highly regarded as some of the best mixers. Next time definitely staying at the hotel here and designating an entire night just to spend in the bar lounge here.

IMPECCABLE service, unbelievable food choices and great atmosphere! This is the kind of experience you hope for when you arrive in Miami. The restaurant greeted our bachelorette group with open arms, not resisting the trinkets and my veil. We weren’t a rowdy bunch and were there to spend money, and they did themselves well to not give us a hard time for our themed outfits. Thank you for that, because we did get flack elsewhere the rest of the weekend! We ordered so many amazing items including the frozen caiprina, prepared by a beautiful young French boy. Like I said, great service. It’s been a while since we were there but every single dish we had was totally great. I highly recommend bringing a group here to get the full experience.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Miami. Amazing food, beautiful spot, friendly and accommodating staff… Did I mention the food is amazing??? My top picks: chicken croquetas, dragon fruit ceviche(comes in an actual dragon fruit!), pork sliders, squid ink pasta, tuna tartare bites(I forget the actual name but they come in little cones and are delicious!), for dessert the deconstructed key lime pie and my go to drink… The gin and tonic! I’ve been here about a dozen times and it never gets old, many menu items change and the experience is always great!

BMW i7 parked in the front says it all — — — — — – Our group of 10 came here for a proper send off to a friend who is about to get sentenced to a term not less than 25-life(marriage). We got the waiter-recommended tasting menu. Very upscale tapas experience — I think 20 different plates came out(two per person). They ranged from the rabbit food(stuffed endive), to the interesting(watermelon sticks with vinaigrette reduction), to the fistfight-inducing(coffee-rubbed skirt steak and fried potatoes that were more like fried polenta — awesome!). The night was punctuated by one buddy getting über to deliver his missing drivers license from a go kart place 1 hour away, and smoking hot girls in skin-tight dresses.(And, in a senior moment, someone said this was all«foreign» money and I said AHA, I knew it! … Wait, you said«p*** money, right?») Just imagine — a motley crew of 10 sharply dressed guys, enjoying good times, good food, good drinks, awesome eye candy. Wasn’t cheap($ 2k), but definitely an experience to remember.

This review is based on late night drinks only. My boyfriend and I ventured here after dinner based on a local friend’s recommendation. We wanted to enjoy some drinks and relax, and this was the perfect setting! When we arrived around 10pm on a Saturday night, the bar area was already pretty packed, but we were able to find one of two empty tables in the booth area near the back. We lounged around and enjoyed their delicious drinks for a couple of hours. The setting here is perfect for relaxation on an evening after a date, with views of the pool, all the beautiful people walking around, and the Miami breeze. Service was excellent and I’d love to come back and enjoy a meal here!

José Andrés will be marked as the chef that has set the bar for my expectations of whimsical food, and will prove challenging to beat in the arena of Spanish done left of center. With my love of tasting menus, it’s impossible for me not to opt in and almost as impossible not to choose a restaurant that offers one when I’m looking for a nice dinner. Not only had I been wanting to try another JA restaurant(China Poblano before), but an anniversary dinner called for a cool spot for our weekend trip. Wine pairings weren’t offered with José’s Ultimate menu(complicated I’m sure), so my wife and I figured a bottle of bubbly and a bottle of red would cover the bases and let us mix it up a little. The coolest part was that our server used to work at the winery who’s Syrah we picked(Darioush) — random but awesome. Though I can’t recall his name, he and the sommelier took fantastic care of us. Oh yeah: the food! The entire menu was crazy tasty… Standout bites/pairings were José’s Taco + champagne(Krug), the Kueh Pai Ti + Red, the King Crab + champagne, and my favorite stood on its own: the Cubano. Not only was the food gorgeous, but the finesse and masterful layering of flavors really made each course stand out from the rest. What I also appreciated was the very clear respect and line of sight to the traditional aspects of each dish — the flavors were so well represented(tortilla, cubano, caprese, etc). Hopefully if you’re heading here for food you’re not expecting sandwiches, rice, and potatoes: enter with an open mind and an empty stomach. I think the ambiance of the joint(quirky, different, like a Cosmopolitan Las Vegas commercial) really ties in when you get something different like the liquid nitrogen caipirinha. It was also nice to have the service level not fall victim to the relatively casual vibe. Courses were timed well and we didn’t need to ask for a single thing — the best sign of service is the keen anticipations of what a diner might need. I highly recommend a visit if you like to be amazed through a taste for different and flavors you can’t find elsewhere, but also appreciate high levels of service.

I love this concept of a restaurant, it’s not my favorite, but it’s fun. Right on South Beach, the hotel restaurant will give you a great time to enjoy woth friends, and my advice is to do it so while you drink some Sangria. Ask the server to bring you whatever he recomends and he will start bringing a bite size, multiple entrees, special and unique meal. Be prepared and opened to try new things, flavors and textures… Because you will love it. Make plans, bring people who you enjoy to talk to and have a great time at this«alta cocina» experience.

Went for Miami Spice and it was a great experience. I will admit I thought I was not going to get full with the food because with my first plate of a one bite shrimp dish it was not filling! By the end of my meal I was definitely satisfied. The only plate I didn’t like very much was the sautéed shrimp. I think the sauce it was cooked in left a unique aftertaste that I wasn’t fond of. The rest of the meal and service was great. Parking is a valet service for 3 hours $ 30 if you go to the restaurant. Honestly I think it should be cheaper but I guess that’s expected for Miami beach area.

A friend and I had reservations here on a Sunday Night. We were greeted and seated immediately when we arrived. The resturant has a nice ambience – low lighting and upbeat music. Our server was Joushua M who did an amazing job. He not only knew the names of the food my friend wanted when she described them, but he also made great recommendations. We had the following(from left to right in the picture): the Kueh Pai Ti, Dragon Fruit Ceviche, Not Your Everyday Caprese, Brussell Sprouts(not pictured), Halibut Papillote, Cuban Coffee Rubbed Churrasco, and finished it all off with Caramelized Banana and Peanut Butter Ice Cream Smores! Our table was always clean, my glass was never empty, and the people were nice. Our experience overall was great, so we will certainly be back again.

We made reservations for a Saturday night after my friend actually met Jose Andres one night at his bar and she promised to go back for dinner. We are from out of town and this was the best recommended restaurant in Miami! I can confirm. The food and experience is by far the most tastiest and fun to watch dining outs I’ve ever had! Items on the menu are tapas which are meant to be shared so when you’re with a group of 4, it was perfect! Our waiter recommended the Cuban sandwiches and sautéed shrimp along with scallop ceviche. We ordered a variety of foods: Tortillas(this is prepared to be a shot for 1 person) very interesting but you get all the tastes of an actual tortilla Shu-Mai dumplings with gold leaf– my favorite! Cuban sandwich — so fresh and a mix of flavors Rice cakes — a must try as you bite into it and get every Asian flavor. Shrimp paella style pasta– one word ‘amazing!!‘ The food presentation is perfect and blend of spices in each small dish is delicious!!! The waiter also times each dish so they come out in the appropriate order so you save the heaviest dishes for last and lightest at the beginning. At the end of our dinner, we were served with a frozen dessert with alcohol. The server came table side to make it for us which was great to watch. Price is $ 18-$ 25 per tapas dish and drinks $ 18. For a group of 4 our bill came out to $ 457 which was not too pricey for the quality of food and service. We headed outside to SLS bar right after which was perfect as it’s connected to the restaurant.

Similar to the bazaar in Beverly Hills, where I used to live and enjoy the same restaurant at the SLS in Beverly Hills, Miami delivers the same punch by famed chef José Andres! You walk into a very chic SLS Hotel in Miami Beach, a much nicer setting than the one in Los Angeles. It is more upbeat and has a better looking crowd for sure then the lackluster crowd at the one in Beverly Hills. The food is pretty much the same except they have more on the menu as many things in Los Angeles have been banned, such as the foi gras. All in all, you will enjoy eating here even though they command a hefty price for a full meal. Tapas? Yes. It just means you need to order more to fill yourself up rather than a full meal. It’s a good marketing techniques to command a higher premium and in the and a larger check. Bön appetite!

Hands down my favorite restaurant while in Miami! My husband and I came here for dinner on our last night and we were so happy we chose this place. The service, the food, and the ambiance of the restaurant were excellent! Since almost all of the restaurants close to the strip already include the tip on the check, the service is normally pretty crappy. However, the service we received at Bazaar was the perfect. Our server was attentive, explained the menu really well, and was extremely helpful when choosing the dishes. Every dish that we picked was so tasty! We had the following: 1. Kueh pai ti, which was suggested by our server. It was full of different flavors that were excellent together! 2. Croquettes de pollo — always a favorite. 3. Patatas bravas — probably the best I’ve had. 4. The Crisini — really interesting presentation. 5. Seared Scallops — cooked perfectly. 6. Mediterranean Mussels — pretty good. I would definitely be going back to this restuarant the next time I’m in town!

Great food and great service. Due to the popularity of this place, I was not able to get a reservation inside the restaurant, so I got a seat by the bar and ordered food and drinks there. My bartender was nice, friendly, efficient, and highly skilled. I put my order in and chatted with the bartender and several of the other patrons while waiting for my food. I got the PB&J sammies and 2 different kinds of sliders. The presentation and taste were both superb, just as I would expect from a restaurant of my favorite chef. The service was quick and attentive, efficient. The interior décor was nice, clean and modern, bathrooms were upscale and super clean. Definitely recommend.

I love it! I love it! I love it! Though it is hard to judge as a tourist, yet food itself tells. The dishes here were special in a sense that everything was in a small plate, so essentially you got the opportunity to explore many combinations. Waiter was kind enough to provide us some recommendations so we went those choices pretty much. And as a meat lover, I was more than satisfied with bone marrow and dragon fruit(tuna). Coconut rice was definitely one of the must-tries as well. Deco was amazing! People were nice, there was nothing more you can ask for here. Make a reservation before coming, and you will never be regret.

Aconselho, porque é um show a parte. Recomendadissimo!
