Cute quaint restaurant on the famous Lincoln Road strip. I prefer the restaurants on this side vs Ocean drive. It’s not the«please come eat here» vibe you get like you do on Ocean. It’s not forced. Service was great and the food was good. I ordered the Tropical Shrimp Salad with Guava Dressing. It was HUGE and flavorful. I definitely recommend this restaurant if you want to eat a healthy meal while strolling through South Beach.

A great lincoln rd spot where you can have lunch and also sit with your favorite book. They have a variety of salads, sandwiches, pastas on the menu. The portions are huge. Had an avocado wrap with peppers and asparagus that was tasty. I especially love their honey mustard dressing. Food is fresh with many vegan options as well. Enjoy

Stick to the books… read your favorite novel and eat somewhere else. Salad was bland. Drinks weak. Overall a waste of time.

Best brunch on lincoln! Very reasonably considering. Almost the entire menu is on the healthier side. Everyone I’ve taken there has enjoyed it. Great location as well.

This is a great little gem with friendly service. I can honestly say we always enjoy our meals and they are pretty kid friendly. It is out doors so if you aren’t a fan of outdoor eating this may not be for you. The best thing I’ve had his the special fish sandwich, again the portion is huge so I usually don’t eat the bread. Delish!!!

Food came out quickly. Omelette was fresh and flavorful. Potatoes were soggy. Key lime pie had a really great tarte taste but texture was gelatinous. Overall it was alright but left me wanting something either more fresh or unique tasting.

Always a good meal at this Lincoln road institution. Try the hummus spread, very delicious. Lots of outdoor tables to gawk at people walking by.

I have always loved the idea of a bookstore café and the Books & Books location on Lincoln Rd is ideal for people watching. Sadly it seems that the Café’ is going downhill. Service was slow, and the chicken in my Pan-Asian Chicken Salad had the feel and consistency of wood chips. My husband hated his meal also. I don’t understand the raving reviews that keep this place always crowded.

I regularly visit The café at books and books on Lincoln road. Not only is the atmosphere relaxed and comfortable but, the food is exceptional and in very large portions, the service is quick, and the menu has a variety of choices that are vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free. I always enjoy my meals here and the manager is especially helpful and extremely nice.

Food was amazing the staff are friendly and accommodating! The owner is extremely friendly and down to earth. Service was great… best food we had in Miami all weekend. All our plates were finished clean. We highly recommend the banana stuffed French toast!

I regularly visit the café at books and books, and I am never disappointed. This place is great whether you are in the mood for a quick snack, or a full meal. The atmosphere is laid back and casual. There is only outdoor seating, but a portion of the dining area is covered. There’s a huge rack of magazines outside, so you can choose your reading material and lounge. The food is very good. The portions are large considering the price and location on Lincoln road. They have lots of vegan and gluten free options! Plus lots of weekly specials. There is also wine and craft beer selections– I’ve been dying to check out their Wine Wednesday’s– 50% off every bottle! The service is friendly and fast. Alvin and Bastian are both great. This restaurant is worth checking out!

Have been meaning to come here for years, finally did not too long ago. The food here is all decent, and they have a lot of good healthy options available. The people watching is amazing, making this one of the better choice on Lincoln road(yeah not many good options…). Would come back again to get a salad.

Sehr gutes Essen in diesem Café genossen!

I really liked this café. Too bad they did not have draft beer but they had a cool selection of bottle beers. Blueberry one was yummy :) I am not sure if it was just me or the day was pretty but I sincerely enjoyed spending my time here and I would love to stop by again once I am in South Beach. P. S. My salmon salad was delish :) It was a good big salad)))))))) nice portions!!! Next time I will totally get the asian chicken salad haha

This place has a nice outside sitting area. Overall, not a bad place to try but didnt meet my expectations: 4 star for the concept of merging a bookstore and café. The bookstore is at the back and abundant with art/design books. 3.5 star for the decoration and design. The outside sitting is better. There is only one restroom for women and one for men in the bookstore. There is a line for it which in not pleasant. 3 star for my burger. I ordered with blue cheese but it came with swiss. Fine… But there was no salt or seasoning in the burger. I emptied the salt n pepper shaker, added mayo and ketchup to add some flavor/taste to it. Service: my server was nice but she messed up my order a bit and served me food without bringing me napkins and silverware. I probably wont try this place again.

I have to say, I am pleasantly surprised. I had seen many reviews and heard only good things about this place, so naturally, I was curious to give it a try. I went with my friend, and although initially he wasn’t very excited, once he got his meal, he sang another tune. The quality of the food is high, definitely superior to other places on Lincoln Road, which tend to be tourist traps and only focus on overcharging and making a profit by doing so, not on their ingredients’ quality. You get plenty of food here, at an affordable price, and the food is fresh, made to order. I especially liked that all the options seemed light, nothing seemed heavy or bloat-worthy. Light yet well-portioned. I very much enjoyed my delicious, flavorful chicken salad, which is one of the biggest salads I’ve ever eaten, and with a wide assortment of ingredients, including alfalfa. It was not just visually appealing but hit the spot. One of the best things about this café? It is QUIET, so you can have a conversation, unlike loud untz-untz places like Segafredo, which is as loud as a nightclub. Who knew that a bookstore would serve real food — not just pastries and snacks — and be so good at it, too?

T H E | S P A C E: A lovely nook at Lincoln Road. During May to November, be careful for the tropical rains that fall at random. When this occurs, there are not many places to escape to, as most of Miami Beach is lived outside. This café offers some respite, though. It’s the sister space to Books & Books. Behind the café you’ll find the matching bookshop. The café does have magazines for perusing and reading, while eating, but you purchase in the bookshop, itself. E A T | M E: The daily soups(5 $), Farmer’s Goat Cheese Salad(13 $), with pears, walnuts, carrots, dressed in a guava vinaigrette, and fresh cut(real potato) fries are recommended. The Mahi Mahi Ceviche(12 $) is also quite beguiling. For something very local, I recommend the Cuban sliders(13 $) and the Cortadito(2.50 $). For a quick refresher, the Passion Fruit Iced Tea or the Strawberry Lemonade are s-p-e-c-t-a-c-u-l-a-r! Note of appreciation: Service is really informative, efficient and thorough! Nod to Mirian!
