My review is for the Admirals Club at D30. This is actually a very well run club. Food and beverages are fresh and well maintained. Bus staff keeps tables and lounge area free of clutter. I have visited this lounge every week for the past 4 months. Espresso machine is frequently broken and downstairs desk is overwhelmed in AM… long lines. Internet speed is a joke… bring your own unless you want to be reminded of 1995. Management should keep hourly ground crew and office staff from sneaking in the fire exit door in the business center. They make loud phone calls, hog computers for hours and use the coffee station without cleaning up. They get away with it because it is out of site and not watched over by anyone.

Drinks are decent and the complimentary food is good. When we go in it was super busy but then it cleared out for a bit. I would have preferred the complimentary drinks were of higher quality.

Horrible service and poor attitude of the staff. Flying to Canada today. Apparently Canada not considered international by AA. D30 refused access. D15 «under renovation» and has a big sign that request members to go to D30! Thankfully I am an AMEX platinum member. The centurion lounge was beautiful. However it is by D12, so I still had to take the sky train back to the otherside to take my flight! It is a shame that int’l airlines do much better with customer service.

This lounge is going through some sort of renovation so there is no quiet area & the banging is awful. Seriously one of the worse experiences in a lounge. It was quieter sitting in the terminal. Hopefully the renovation will improve the lounge & my next time reviewing the lounge will be better. 1 star for now.

This review is for the subpar, lackluster D15 lounge, which I understand is quite inferior to the D30 one down the terminal(which I will be visiting on my way back through Miami). I’ll break it down to a few areas: Food/Drinks, Service, Ambience, and Overall. As far as food goes, the only complimentary small bites are carrot and celery sticks and a few other small items, most of which looked a bit old. Don’t plan on coming here to be satiated before your long flight. I suppose I’ve been spoiled by excellent lounges like Toronto’s departure lounge, but this one was below the bar in basically every way, even in comparison to «average» lounges I’ve visited around the world. Flying first class does entitle you to two free drink tickets, which isn’t terrible. That said, that they use a ticketing system here at all is a little strange and is reminiscent of a cheap nightclub. The drink tickets covers one cocktail, wine, or a bottle of water. Why yes, your drink ticket will can get you a whole bottle of water if you are not included toward an alcoholic beverage. They have a reasonable bar with typical options – neither bad nor spectacular. The service is not awful, but you don’t find many people around cleaning used areas, and you won’t find anyone checking to see if you would like something else. After 8pm, it can also be notoriously difficult to find a bartender, which is a bit annoying. The bartender was a bit brusque, but maybe it was just because it was getting late. Ambience: Don’t expect a lot. The only unused power outlet I could find was literally falling out of the wall, and it sparked when I plugged in my phone charger. They do offer a nice variety of seating, including bar stools if you’re buying one of their overpriced food items, so that is at least a plus. The Wi-Fi is functional but not fast, and if you try to make a call over Wi-Fi, it will probably fade in and out. Overall, this is probably the most poorly equipped lounge I’ve used anywhere in the world. Whenever I’m in Miami, I’ll go over to D30, or anywhere else.

Being an American Airlines executive platinum, I can say the lounge is fine, but it could not compare to the Centurion Lounge at the same airport

Yes to D30, down with D15. The only plus with D15 is that I got to sit across from John Legend(yes, John Legend). But, I almost wanted to tell him to get up from this D15 lounge where seats are few, people are crowded in, and the food spread goes like wildfire. Now, enter the D30 Admirals Club and enter into a place full of private booths around the walkway. A bigger and nice bathroom awaits your fancy, and the food abounds. Not great. Not Bad. But, to have the better option, choose the D30 club.

Thanks a lot that I’m not paying for this service !! I was invited, but if i Had paid the $ 50 cover charge, I would be requesting my money back ! Of course it’s more comfortable than regular gates, but it is not a vip or nothing like it! You have to pay for drinks and food. The house wines are the ones you see at Costco for $ 4.99 the bottle. The free Cheese is a mediocre selection of cheddar & Swiss, cheap !! The rest, you have to pay for all… Makes no sense…

Big and bright but well worn around the edges. As with every AA Admirals Club this one only offers low end choices for free(wine, beer and food). The better choices become expensive quick. Bathrooms and showers are clean. The staff are quick to do their jobs but slow to smile. There are outlets for charging throughout the seating areas, so if you find a seat you can charge all those electronics that sustain you during your flights! Far nicer lounges out there in the traveler world but this location is still more comfortable than sitting at the gate. Cheers!

There aren’t many positives for this place aside from saying it beats sitting outside. It’s relatively quiet(for Miami standards) but that doesn’t really mean much. The free food is pathetic and everything else is priced way too high. The staff also leave a lot to be desired; most will just outright ignore you and not even acknowledge that you’re there. Maybe this is a great lounge for AA standards, but this is one of the worst lounges I’ve been in when compared to other major hub/airline lounges anywhere. Maybe it’s because I’m new to AA and I’m not beat down by them to accept mediocrity as something exceptional. I think I’m going back to United or Delta after this.

Well fine, American Airlines, get me hooked on your miles program over the course of a few years, and once you have me loyal, just start taking away all of the benefits. Welp, you’ve earned yourselves 1 star every time I have to pay for a day pass. As a platinum member flying to the Caribbean and in first class, I still have to pay $ 50. The lounge is fine. Nothing special, and anything beyond a few blocks of cheese you’ll be paying out the nose for real food — and this is after paying a $ 50 entrance. Well AA, enjoy your $ 50 and your one-star ranking. Maybe fly United instead?

I took an expensive first class seat with american airways. Went to their lounge in miami D30 and I could not get in. They told me I have to be admiral member. I am Iberia member with the Ruby card. They said that, even flying first class, i was not entitled to go to the lounge. I use to travel very often, mostly in Europe. Not a single European airline would have prohibited the lounge access to a first class passenger! Not a single one! I really hope that the Arab gulf airline companies start operating in US… Americans will see what quality and service mean !

As a 3 million mile flyer on American they need to do better. I’m sitting in the MIA Admirals lounge at gate D30 at 2:30pm. The only food is a snack mix or a cookie. For $ 450 a year they need to up their game like Delta. At Delta there is hummus, soup. pita chips, olives, celery, nuts, etc. At American there are people fighting over a cookie. In addition if you live or travel in a city that has an American Express Centurion lounge you will never want to come back to an Admirals Lounge.(Champagne, full meals and deserts, etc.) PS All lounges have showers, coffee, etc. but at American this is were it stops!

Just a horrible experience at D15. D30 is great but D15 is horrible as a lounge, the staff is lazy and just plane racist. When you tell them you are done using the shower they say«I know» as if you have over run your time, even though there is no time limit for the shower that is told the customer or posted on the shower room. The staff is lazy and takes forever to clean the tables. The furniture is poorly arranged and has no design aspect to it. Doug Parker should just close this lounge and fire the staff!

Huge club with plenty of seats but not a ton of free food like we have experienced in other clubs. The cookies were super yummy– I recommend the raisin cookies over the chocolate chip ones.

This and the LAX Amex lounge are the best I have experienced. This lounge is huge with many different sections. All ammenities can be found. Plenty of seats. Decent snacks and drinks.

Internet here is terrible, and you can’t go to broadband because the reception is also bad(2 bars) This club is always full so very difficult to find a place to sit. Occasionally dishes pile up because someone didn’t show up I guess. Bathrooms are small. Since I often travel«party of one» I can’t leave my luggage in the main room to be watched by strangers. Otherwise more comfortable than the gate seating.

Im a first timer to admirals club thanks to our citibank prestige card. but so far ive been to LAX and MIAMI lounges and although very similar as far as services and menu lax definitely has more flair. Service was really good and everyone so friendly. and lots of seating which is good cause It was packed when we go here on a tues morning. I really enjoyed food. Had Belgian waffle and good coffee and parfait. Love their showers and dermalogica products… I feel so refreshed after doin a long red eye

Decent admiral’s club, large but can get crowded. The food offering is the standard AA schwag, but they have a comfy bar, plus showers, etc. Not a bad place to park considering what a dump the rest of the terminal is.

The American Airlines Admirals Club in the North Terminal, Concourse D is located after Security, across from Gate D30. It is a large lounge with showers, conference rooms, a business center, and food for purchase. Like many domestic Admiral Clubs, this one also offers unlimited soft drinks, beer, wine, & spirits. I was in this lounge on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 when American Airlines was having their system wide computer failure forcing many flights to be diverted and /or cancelled. The well-trained staff did their best to keep us calm and well-informed during the few hours of crisis. I was fortunate to suffer only a 90 minute delay. Unfortunately, only meager snacks like cookies at this time. I was waiting for the fruit, cheese & crackers but maybe that comes out later. Warning: Do not go to the Admirals Club on the 3rd floor above gate D15 as it is much smaller and feels very cramped.

PESIMO! No se como una compañia como AA puede dejar que una instalacion y servicio pueda decaer tanto. Que nadie pierda ni un $ pagando un ingreso a los Admirald Club al menos de Miami
