Buddy’s Famous

Literally the best bbq I’ve had in Miami. Huge portions had me slumped in my chair in a delightful food coma after lunch. Brisket was mouth watering with a delicious bun to set it off!

I usually don’t review places, but my experience here was so bad that I had to. I love bbq and have been looking for a place near home for a while. The food here was just plain bad. The baby back ribs were tough and over peppered (not in a spicy way.) They were pushing the chicken, which we saw come from a vacuum sealed bag. The taste was alright, but it was served half cold. The sides tasted like they were bought at a supermarket and reheated.
The whole time we were eating we were swarmed by flies. The owner said he didn’t know where they were coming from because the dumpster was over 100 yards away, but as we walked out we saw that the house next door had their garbage can not more than 15 feet from where we were sitting.

Finally decent BBQ in Miami ! This is one time I hesitate to post a review on a restaurant because I’m afraid it’s going to get swamped and I won’t be able to get in the place. Smoked ribs are excellent, flavorful fresh out of the smoker. He smokes beef brisket for 13 hours. It’s just too good. No sauce for me thank you very much. Genuine barbecue. Hooray!

It doesn’t get any more backyard BBQ than this.

Has his own garden in the back so the produce us all gmo free. How awesome is that?!
