I called ACE’s main customer service # to complain about my experience here and they were very helpful, which was positive. This store needs to explain, display their refund/exchange/credit policy better. They act like typical ignorant Miami people and are rude. It’s the closest hardware store to me. Never again…

Terrible! The employees are rude and not at ALL knowledegeable. No one speaks English, the aisles are crowded and they don’t have anything useful in stock.

Terribly disappointing. Went there to buy a special bit for a special type of screw. They said if it didn’t fit I could bring it back. Came back 30 minutes later, cause it was the wrong size and changed it for another. Next day I returned a 2nd time cause it was still the wrong size and asked to return it for a refund since they did not have the right size. They wouldn’t allow me to return it. I’m out $ 14.95 for an item that is worthless to me. This very stupid stupid employee who could not even speak a word of English, in spite of claiming he’s worked there for 10 years, pointed to a sign on the wall which says, «no returns for tools». I told the cashier, I was promised it could be returned and she was just as stupid as the other employee. She would not talk to me. My advice, stay away from this place. Home Depot or Lowes is a lot cheaper and the employees are honest, friendly and at least they usually speak English(in Miami). Ace Hardware in Miami, just lost my business. What a bunch of second rate losers. If you can’t speak or understand Spanish and expect some normal customer service to help you with your hardware issues, don’t waste your time going to this place. If you want to be cheated or overcharged, shop here. This is so typical of so many stores in Miami. Lousy service, no one speaks English, tell you one thing and do another, absolutely no consideration for customer satisfaction. Never going to this place again. They lost my business for ever.

Don’t buy anything from this store. Most of the merchandise is old. They don’t take items back even with receipt. Asst store manager Santiago is really rude, horrible customer service. You better off going to Home Depot.

Things that you can’t find at other stores, you can find here. People working here were extremely helpful in finding difficult items like patio door handles.

Every time since my first time im disappointed deeply in this place. I only go because it’s few blocks away from my business and i might not have time to go to The Home Depot. But im much better off making this extra time, cause this place is definitely not customer friendly. A unnoticeable plate by the door says you cant really return anything you purchased here. You are never warned at check out either. Big difference in customer care. The pricing is also incomparable, at least 30−50% mark up for the similar products in The Home Depot. Nothing«budget» about this Ace. The main thing, of course, is the management. Except for«we dont do returns» they have nothing to say really. No matter what. Believe me i tried being both nice and furious. Nothing worked. If you can avoid going to this astronomically priced, unfriendly store where no one cares if you are satisfied with your purchase, please do. I would never imagine me saying it, but you will actually have better experience in THD. They dont care about customers in this store, so why should i give them my money? I spend at least $ 5−10K in supplies a year. NONE of this budget will be spent in Ace. Im done trying.

Today I went to ace to find it was the place I needed but was discouraged to find that they have a $ 10 dollar minimum for credit cards. Which I thought was ilegal but since sept 2010 its officially not unless speciafically stated by their merchant: (3) LIMITATIONONRESTRICTIONSONSETTINGTRANSACTIONMINIMUMSORMAXIMUMS.(A) INGENERAL. – A payment card network shall not, directly or through any agent, processor, or licensed member of the network, by contract, requirement, condition, penalty, or otherwise, inhibit the ability(i) of any person to set a minimum dollar value for the acceptance by that person of credit cards, to the extent that(I) such minimum dollar value does not differentiate between issuers or between payment card networks; and(II) such minimum dollar value does not exceed $ 10.00 Seeing that there were no soda machines to increase my purchase I proceeded to purchase some screwdrivers on the counter. My idea was to purchase and then return them. When I tried to do just that thou they proceeded to tell me I couldn’t even thou they had signs about there refund policy at the register. They said the refund policy even thou it was an unopened item was next to the front door. I have always enjoyed Ace but I am kinda peeved they gave me such a hard time my experiance could of been better if the register girl was more cheery, the refund policy was at the register with the rest of the rules written on the white piece of paper or it followed other ace guidelines and that the manager sided with his customer. All in all I guess my

One of the best hardware stores in Miami — it’s the old school good feeling kinda place where they actually have, truly, everything you can possibly want. They actually have a room where you can get any type of bolt, nut or screw you can show them. Very helpful and friendly and there seems to always be more than enough staff to help the people wandering through the store looking through the 10 foot high shelves brimming with merchandise.

the good thing is that they are downtown but the customer service is less good than home depot which is saying a lot !

When you live in a concrete jungle trying to get supplies can be challenging unless you feel like going far. Growing up in Chicago we had Ace Hardware store’s within miles of each other before the big box stores took over. This store is located so close to downtown, and thank you for being here. They have a small parking lot which is easy to get in and out. The store has a good selection with decent prices and good service. We have run in here for light bulbs, key’s, ac filters, etc… I am so thankful that I do not have to drive up US1 to go to the home depot every time I need something or my condo. Yay for a neighborhood hardware store.

I don’t know… I’m a little surprised to say this, but I’m impressed with this ACE. Just disregard the ugly building, the petty parking lot, and the word«Budget»(I know I’m asking for a lot). Maybe it’s because I’ve been to two other ACE and they were a disaster — especially the horrible mess that is on Flagler near downtown. Should I had known that this was(1) more organized and(2) even closer to me, then I would have gone here more often. They have a good assortment of paints. They can copy keys. Everything is nicely organized and stacked. Good customer service. Good selections. Decent prices(except for the empty spray bottles — they should be a $ 1, but I’m willing to overlook that)! They have garden tools & sprays. Oh, and you can really ditch driving to Home Depot — I mean like completely. There’s even a lumber shop here! So you can get wood and stuff without having to drive farther into Miami for that. Because of all that, plus convenience, I have to give this particular ACE a good score. Now, if they could just have better store hours — they close at 5:30 Mondays to Fridays and even earlier Saturdays and Sundays! But then again — it’s not Home Depot. You want a pleasant and uncrowded hardware shopping experience? No shopping lines? This is it.

This place takes you on a time warp back to the days before large chain megastores existed and a person used to shop at locally owned business. Having stressed for weeks over what colors I should use for accent walls, I looked up the nearest Benjamin Moore stores on the BM website and found Budget Ace Hardware. Budget is located on 16th and NE2nd Ave — a hop, skip, and a jump away from downtown and the Adrienne Arscht Center. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted by 3 employees willing to help me. I announced I was there to look at paint colors and one escorted me to the paint section. For 20 minutes, this person endured my hemming and hawing and inane discussion about a zebra rug. He helped me calculate how much paint was needed and the different finishes available. Weeks of agony over colors ended with my solid and firm conclusion that jalapeño pepper was the way to go. There is no way I would have been able to get this kind of personalized, patient and uninterrupted service at Home Depot. I know there’s no way I would have been in and out of Home Depot in a half hour! At the cash register I suddenly realized that the store had so MANY things I needed — like a phillips screwdriver and duplicate house keys. I’m sure there’s more, but I controlled myself. Budget has become my go to local place for all my hardware supplies!
