Being vegan by choice and gluten free by my body’s choice makes it *almost* impossible to find baked goods like donuts, cupcakes, and let alone whole cakes. The best part about Bunnie Cakes? My husband likes their treats and he’s a very picky non-vegan! I love this shop so much, the deserts are worth every penny.

My client gifted us a few cupcakes from this place. The presentation is super cute, I almost felt guilty eating them! Lets not forget they are gluten free and vegan goodies. I’ve tried other gluten free treats and I’m usually disappointed with the taste. That being said I had a bite with the intention of just having ‘one’, which became ‘just one more’, and now i’m at home with an empty carton and cupcake cravings. I’ve had so far in the day: Coconut, Dulce No Leche, Guava, Very Vanilla. & Red Velvet… I’ll treadmill another day. Side note: Take a look at their Instagram page(msbunniecakes). I’ve spent a few minutes eyeballing a few future foodgasms.

Let me start by saying that the cupcakes, cookies, pizza rolls etc. here are amazing and I’ve had no issues coming in and buying what’s available. However, I can’t recommend ordering a cake here. I sent in a custom order request on their website two weeks before I needed it(the website says to place an order 1 – 2 weeks beforehand), but I was told they were already booked. That was fine, so I ordered one of their standard cakes and emailed the happy birthday message. I called the day before pickup and was told it would be ready at 2 pm(and I received an email as well with the time.) I got there around 2:05 and told them I had an order, and was repeatedly told that they didn’t know where it was. After some time, they finally found where it was because they weren’t done with it. Once they finished, I took a look and they spelled the name wrong… I don’t understand how since they had it on the order, but I’m going to guess they were rushing to finish it. Although only a letter needed to be added to the end, you could tell it was squeezed in before the exclamation point. To top it off, the box they put it in could not close without squishing the top of the cake. I asked if they could put it in the bigger box, but they said it would move around, so they placed Saran Wrap over the open part.(The cake still moved in the small box.) While one girl on staff was nice and apologetic and gave me a mini cupcake for the wait(which was nice but doesn’t really make up for anything) the owner was there and never once came by to see what was going on. I overheard her on the phone telling someone that there was a mistake with their order while I was waiting around, so order issues seem to be common. I can say that with certainty because when my boyfriend ordered a cake for my birthday, he had asked for a photo on top of the cake and he was given a quote. When he went to pick up the cake, there was no photo and all they said was«oh we gave you the wrong price so we couldn’t do it.» What kind of customer service is that? Either honor the price you gave or at least call ahead of time and give the correct price. He would have been happy to pay it. I’ll keep stopping by for the treats because of my dietary needs, but their cake service and especially customer service needs a serious overhaul. I can’t see myself ever placing an order here again.

I am neither vegan, nor gluten free, so in all honesty I was hoping that the clients I brought in with me for a tasting for their wedding would be impressed with my recommendation of this place, as one of my brides is picky picky, and the other is vegan! We tried a dozen minis, and I am INCREDIBLY impressed by the quality of their cupcakes! Here are my comments from the ones I personally tasted: The cinnamon sugar tastes like Cinnamon Toast Crunch :) The vanilla was very good The dark chocolate was AWESOME and I preferred it over the triple chocolate The orange chocolate had a very unique taste(in the best way possible) The coconut overall was my absolute favorite(but I LOVE coconut so that may be a bit biased). Also, my clients decided to use them for their cake cutting as well, and when they asked if a rainbow cake could be done, they didn’t even bat an eyelash. We are truly looking forward to working with them for my clients’ upcoming wedding!

So we stopes by this completely vegan bakery and all three items we got were incredibly delicious! Not mention they were mini size. We got a chocolate orange cupcake(so good!), very vanilla donut(also super good), and the guava cupcake(again, really good!). The cupcakes and the donut were super moist and soft, the frosting on the cupcakes were yummy, nice and sweet, yet not overwhelmingly sweet. The donut was was baked, which is always nice. It was super moist. Deff coming back and getting the full sizes!

I have to say, I was pretty disappointed with my experience with Bunnie Cakes. I came on Unilocal, searching specifically for Gluten Free cakes/cupcakes and was excited to see all the positive reviews. I wanted to buy a red velvet cupcake for a friends’ birthday celebration. The store was adorable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. However, the large cupcake was not good. I ended up buying a dozen minis and one large red velvet(gluten free and vegan). While the large red velvet was very moist, there was absolutely no flavor. The large cupcake tasted like unbaked flour, with no differentiating qualities between the cake and frosting, except texture. There was no sweet or even savory flavor elements. Just one note. And that note was flour. I will say, the mini cupcakes had substantially more flavor than the large one, so I would definitely stick to the minis. The triple chocolate mini was kind of dry, but had really good flavor. I really wanted to like these cupcakes, but they fell flat. Thankfully, it was«the thought that counts,» not the flavor, that my friend cared about. I was disappointed because of all the rave reviews. I know they aren’t going to taste exactly like regular cupcakes, so I get that. Overall, stick to the minis!

When I first order this cake for Mother’s Day I had so many doubts. If it would taste good. Was it worth it? Could they make it? Would she like it? But when I got it, it was absolutely beautiful and it tastes great! I have no more doubts about this place and I will be ordering again very soon(within the next month)!

I love surprising friends with treats from Bunnie Cakes! They’re by far my favorite cupcakes in Miami. If you’re of the sort that shies away from words like vegan and gluten free, rest assured that no flavor is lost at Bunnie Cakes, and quality is superior to many other baked goods you’ll come across. While I’ve stuck to the mini cupcakes(the guava is my favorite!), they have a wide assortment of treats including brownies, cookies, donuts, cheesecakes in jars, empanadas, pizza rolls and MORE. If you follow the shop on Instagram, you can see some of their speciality cakes which are beautiful creations fit for all sorts of themes. Expect to pay more than you would at other bakeshops but I’d say it’s worth it every now and then. The shop is super cute and has a couple of tables to sit and enjoy your treats. Parking is available on the street or around the back of the building. Pro tip: They have«day old» assortments for sale by the window that are $ 6 cheaper for a dozen of mini cupcakes and taste the same.

Nom nom nom! While I’ve had cupcakes from Bunnie Cakes before, yesterday was my first time actually visiting the store. Let me start off by saying that(in case you don’t know) there is a parking lot behind the store where you can park. The entrance to the lot is on NE23rd street, so you’ll have to turn into that street. While you can exit through the back door, I’m not sure if you can come in through there, so I just walked to the front(there’s a passageway). There’s also about three spots in front of the store, but it can be complicated and there isn’t always parking, so I would just opt for the lot. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted. There were two ladies working and they were both very friendly. She asked me if I needed anything, wanted anything to drink while I choose, etc. Very attentive and kind. When I got there, there was another couple, but they left shortly after, so it was empty(to my surprise). As they were leaving, they thanked the ladies for their help, so seems that the service is good all around. I mean, if I was around sweets all day I would probably be really happy too. After a couple of minutes of looking at their displays and all of their goodies, I opted for 4 of their vegan(not vegan gluten-free) cupcakes: red velvet, chocolate, chocolate coconut and dulce no leche. While the price is a little steep in my opinion, they are vegan, so it’s understandable. They also have donuts, whoopie pies(that looked so good), cinnamon buns, brownies, and cake cups(amongst other things). It came out to $ 8. They also have a rewards program that you can sign up for. It’s almost like the ‘Belly’ Rewards program, where every time you go you check-in and get rewards after earning a certain amount of points. It was really easy to sign-up and the cashier was more than happy to explain it to me when I asked. All you have to do is input your number and give her your name and DOB. The layout of this place is adorable. The decorations work so well and it’s very inviting overall. They have a seating area in the back, in case you want to enjoy your goodies right there. They also have a bottled drink stand and a condiment area for your coffee/tea/etc. I didn’t ask if they have a bathroom, so I can’t comment on that. Besides that, the store is impeccably clean. The displays are extremely organized and the counters are wiped down. The cupcakes were yum! My favorite was definitely the red velvet. Out of all of the ones I got, it was the most moist. The chocolates were a little dry, but they were great nonetheless. I definitely, definitely recommend getting the red velvet and the dulce no leche. You won’t regret it! Next time, I definitely want to try their whoopie pies! Overall, my first time here was great! I was really impressed with the service, the layout, and the cupcakes! Definitely visit if you’re in the area and want a(healthier) treat!

I’m addicted to their donuts! Particularly the red velvet one because of the coconut scent and slight hint of coconut flavor. The texture is moist and dense. Every piece of pastry has one cute, sweet heart sprinkle on it to signify that it’s baked with LOVE! Adorable message. Family owned business with friendly staff who makes you feel welcomed and beautiful, organized bakery shop look. The menu is pretty pricey but that’s normal for anything vegan/gluten free/organic etc, it’s totally worth it! They have a shelf full of goodies from the previous day for 50% off, so I bought a box of 4 donuts since I’m rarely in this area before they close. There’s a huge selection of cupcakes and donuts to choose from, they also make«mini» versions but I just get the full cause I feel super guilt free as is haha ;) definitely forever getting a box of 4 count treats cause I devoured mine within two days

I love Bunnie Cakes! I contacted the team relatively last minute to order a cake for my grandfather’s birthday. The staff was extremely helpful and professional and they did a phenomenal job on ensuring that the cake’s décor matched the image sent(his old Cadillac). The cake itself was absolutely delicious and was a hit! It also helps that it’s vegan which is amazing for us lactose intolerant people.

Favorite cupcakes in town! I’ve been coming here for many years. Bunnie Cakes won the Cupcake Wars competition from The Food Network. I love the healthy side and deliciousness. Every individual cupcake tastes wonderfully. Believe it! These tasty treats beat regular and all cupcakes out there in flavor. in addition are healthier without sacrificing taste. Best of Both Worlds!!! It’s hard not to crave more… The strawberry I assume has a guava topping on the frosting, passion fruit tang is definitely there. Dulce no Leche is my all time favorite. Red Velvet isn’t too sweet. All the mini’s are exceptionally moist and have the perfect texture. Baked to perfection. It’s nearly impossible to choose from all the amazing flavorings! I wished they had online ordering… Maybe thru Unilocal or Eat24(just a suggestion).

I have been a super loyal Bunnie Cakes customer but I sincerely feel like my loyalty as a customer has just been completely taken for granted. I’ve promoted Bunnie Cakes on my Instagram and have ordered many things from there yet the results of my daughters 1st birthday cake were poor. Let me elaborate. I emailed the staff(Betsy) with good time and sent her a picture for my daughter’s garden themed birthday cake and asked for exactly what was on the picture. I was acknowledged and was reassured everything would be done as asked. Well, the day before the cake pick up after I had already paid $ 98 dollars I received an email telling me that they could not add said macaroons and fixings on the cake that they agreed to in writing because they just couldn’t find them vegan. WHAT? The picture I used as a reference for what I specifically wanted had the macaroons done by bunnie cakes but yet my request was just dismissed? And then when I emailed them back I got no response. On top of everything the cake was lacking creativity and the banner looked so cheap for a first birthday cake. I am so saddened by this! I hate to give this place such a bad rating but I feel so robbed. This is completely unprofessional and an example of how you DON’T run your business ethically or treat your paying customers.

I LOVE this place! I was skeptical about coming here at first because it’s almost an hour drive for me to get there. After tasting the cupcakes, I definitely will come back without a doubt! However, parking was a bit tricky since there’s construction. The cupcake itself was really moist and soft. Almost like a pond cake with less density. The frosting was a bit sweet too sweet for me but it’s still good. The little heart decoration on top is a pink marshmallow!(Like Lucky Charms but softer and less powdery) My favorite was definitely the passion fruit. It has a passion fruit filling inside. It was sweet and had a tart kick which was awesome! They also have a small section of stationery and other paper crafts. The person working in front was really friendly. I was greeted as soon as I walked in.

I must start this review by stating I don’t follow any type of strict diet. I’m sure this is the best option for people that follow vegan, gluten free diets. I was simply looking for cute, yummy treats for my Valentine this year and this was the closest option to home. Loved their store, their cupcake decorations, and the customer service was great. I still believe Misha’s cupcakes are superior in flavor if you don’t follow any strict diet. BUT I must admit Bunnie’s brownies are to die for! I rate the brownies 5 stars and will definitely go back for them time and time again.

Love that they offer gluten-free cupcakes, donuts and whoopie pies in addition to their extensive vegan assortment. I am willing to bet that almost all of their clientele is neither vegan nor gluten-free, they simply come here because the service is always great and their goodies are delicious. Even if the store is packed full of people, someone behind the counter will always great you the second you walk in. They’ve definitely improved both flavor and texture of their dough. You could never ever tell they don’t use eggs or butter. The pastry cream is very, very sweet, which explains why this place is such a big hit with the kids. You must have these with coffee to offset the sugary frosting. If they happen to have cake in a jar(they only make these once in a while from left over sponge cake) grab one! Totally awesome but a calorie bomb for sure. The whoppie pies are great, as are the cupcakes with fillings. My favorites are the passion fruit, guava and double chocolate, in that order. Now if they only offered some booze soaked cupcakes, I’d be in heaven.

How have I not reviewed Bunnie Cakes? I heard of Bunnie Cakes a few years back from a friend who suffers from gluten allergy. At the time I was trying to figure out why I felt so bad and my doctor recommended I give up gluten and dairy. This was a nightmare for me because I LOVE sweets! I love cake, cupcakes, pies, etc. I have a terrible sweet tooth. That’s when my friend suggested I try Bunnie Cakes. At the time the owner did not have a storefront, so I would head over to the restaurants where she would deliver her cupcakes and buy there. I was hooked! Now that there is a store I can visit I try to order her delicious desserts whenever my husband and I have a craving for something sweet. I am now totally gluten-free and dairy-free for medical reasons and Bunnie Cakes has been my savior. My recommendations: Cupcakes — chocolate on vanilla, guava, chocolate chip, chocolate coconut blueberry, key lime Sin Tres Leches For my birthday last year they made me the most beautiful cake! It was so pretty I didn’t even want to touch it, but of course, we did and everyone loved it, even the non-GF/Vegan friends/family. I recommend Bunnie Cakes to everyone. Even if you aren’t GF/Vegan, they are so delicious and at least you will know it’s healthier. ;)

This place offers vegan and gluten free options. Neither are a priority for me, so I rather have regular ingredients in my cupcakes. I tried the mini vanilla with chocolate filling cupcake topped with vanilla icing. It was moist and ok. You can tell it’s made with vegan ingredients. The red velvet donut had gooey icing. It too tasted just ok. There is indoor seating. The staff is friendly. There are many flavored cupcakes to choose from. There is street parking. Overall, it’s a cute place, but I won’t return. I would rather have Misha’s cupcakes.

I’m very much a meat eater, as my review history and jokes about cows and chimichurri indicate. Vegan equals cardboard taste according to me… well I stand corrected! Yes, I’ll still enjoy a juicy steak but will come to Bunniecakes for dessert! It’s a pink and hearts interior that’s world’s away from it’s Wynwood storefront and a loss of points on your man card. However, service was very pleasant(and the cashier who attended me cute). There are a couple of street-parking spots right outside of it. I sampled 4 different cupcakes(I went to three different gyms during the rest of the weekend), that while tiny, lend proof to the saying about good things being inverse to package size. My favorites were the blueberry, classic red velvet and banana chocolate. I’ll probably pass up on the key lime pie one though. Besides supporting a certain locally owned coffee house, Bunnie Cakes has a lot of organic teas, such as the raspberry one I enjoyed. See you in a few!

The only bad thing about it: i wish i had found them earlier. If you are vegetarian you are covered; vegan? covered; need to eat gluten free? covered. I tried several, about 6, of their cupcakes and they were so soft and moist; I cant believe they use garbanzo flour??? Wow My favorites were the guava and the passion fruit. That passion fruit cupcake has the power to be addictive, so addictive. Now i will keep their card for when i need to et some cupcakes, brownies, cookies, cakes or even donuts. I must try their donuts, mmmm.
