Last week the fan motor on our compressor outside decided that it had decided to quit, after finding out that our last ac company that i had been using for the last 10 years installed a new air handler that was already 3 years old on the day it was installed i decided that next time i needed a repair i would find another company.
After finding Comfort Service and Repair on Unilocal (mainly because of the 1, 5 star rating and the proximity to our house i called them) The phone was answered by a lady who spoke english and told me there would be a tech their in 40 mins, The gentleman arrived within the time limit and even had a spare motor on his truck. the whole unit was up and running within 30 mins of him arriving, He was polite and explained to me what he was going to do and the cost.
Just to give you an idea, he charged me half of what i had paid 4 years ago with the old company to change the exact same motor, Also he gave me a quote on a new system which was $ 1500 cheaper than with the old company for the exact same unit (manufacturer and seer number) Waiting till december for that but i will definety use them again.
Makes me wonder how many times the old company ripped me off…

Well the first day of 90 degree weather and my AC unit decides to die. Being new to Miami I had no idea who to call so I asked my neighbor who recommended Comfort Service and Repair. First of all when I called the number I was pleased to the fact English is spoken for my Spanish skills stop at ordering a meal at my favorite restaurant. I explained the issue and they had a service truck at my house within a few hours. Upon inspection the service tech told me that my AC unit was toast and it is time to replace my 20 year old unit. The owner called me from the office and explained in detail the total cost and installation. They even had the service tech assist me in pulling a window unit from my garage and temporarily installing in my bedroom so at least I could have a few cool rooms in the back of the house. This was very impressive. Being that it was a long holiday weekend the installation would not take place for two more days so I used this time to double check the price. I searched for some companies on-​line and found everyone was at least 10 to 80% higher in price and were making statements like my entire duct-​work needed replacement to the unit needed to be moved to a different spot. I found this interesting for none of these companies came on site.
Anyway the new unit (s) have been installed and working better than expected. Comfort Service and Repair is by far the best AC company in South Florida with the best price.
