There are few times when I’m either left speechless or just immediately say oh. my. g0d. that was so freaking good! Every time I eat here I have one of those moments. I love buffalo anything — sandwiches, wings, etc. so when I came here for the first time it was a no brainer to try it. I loved it! Everything about it was perfect and well made. I only gave it four stars because I do wish that it was just slightly bigger to match the price but also due to the fact that just to go to the restroom, you have to go to another building or something like that… Not that great when you want to wash your hands and use the restroom after eating or have kids with you. Regardless I’ll still be coming back. Thankfully when I’ve gone is the service has always been after lunch hour for those who work in Downtown Miami/Brickell so it’s always a nice, quiet and relaxing vibe. I definitely plan on trying different things the next couple of times that I go to see how other things taste. Overall good place to have a quick, good bite to eat!

Definitely if you’re a grilled cheese fan, check out the place. Good service, great grilled cheeses, and the environment is nice and quiet. The past couple times I’ve been there, I’ve always enjoyed their sandwiches. My recommendation for grilled cheese: The Bacon Melt. I would’ve given them four stars but their customer service for some employees should be improved– knowledge of items and etiquette when communicating with your customer.

I think grilled cheese was one of the first foods I learned how to make as a kid. Paired with tomato soup warmed from the can, it’s an easy go-to meal for people everywhere. That being said, it can be a bit disappointing when you order it at Daily Melt and are left knowing you could simply do better yourself. I had tried Daily Melt in Midtown and wasn’t blown away; however, found myself downtown one morning in need of some food fast and it was one of the few options open. I went with the«Egg in the Nest» — bacon, egg and muenster cheese on sourdough. When I think«Egg in the Nest,» I think of a runny egg oozing out the side, but the egg was more of a solid patty. The flavor overall was bland so I added some Cholula to spice it up a bit which helped, but it wasn’t anything to write home about. When we got there, the AC was off and it was pretty muggy(we are in Miami, after all). Thankfully, it was ignited mid-meal but overall a little uncomfortable. I will say the girls working there were friendly for early on a Saturday morning… Overall, I think I will stick to making my own grilled cheeses at home. After almost 15+ years of experience, I would say I make a pretty good one.

We arrived to the Daily Melt in the early morning — starving and with very few options around the area, we ended up here — and instantly got kicked in the face by the heat inside. The AC was off.(!!!) We ordered and took our seats near the door to at least get a little of the breeze. We were almost down with our food when the AC finally kicked on(thank God!) — but before that it was pretty uncomfortable. There’s no bathroom here and you have to go into the actual building(through a back door at Daily Melt) to get to the bathroom. Plus you have to carry a key for the bathroom on one of the obnoxiously large blocks of wood so you don’t loose the key. It’s just all around uncomfortable. The food is nothing to write home about unfortunately. I got the Egg in the Nest — with crispy bacon, egg and Muenster on Sourdough. Obviously it will never look like it does in the picture but the egg is supposed to sit in a little hole in the middle of the bread. The flavors were extremely bland and for what you pay it’s honestly not anything you couldn’t just make at home for ½ the price. So why 2 stars? Well they were one of the only places in Downtown open that early… I did eat the food, even if it wasn’t the best, it was edible and they have grape soda(man I love grape soda!) The staff were nice enough(by Miami standards) but I certainly wouldn’t say they were engaging in any way.
