The ham and cheese almond croissants are really delicious. Warmed up at home are even better. Came in on a Saturday afternoon with no line and no wait.

I have been buying croissants and pastries since 1998. I believe I was one of the original patrons. I would order birthday cakes for our office birthdays downtown. I would pick up croissants and breakfast pastries on Fridays for the office. I love love this place. Thank you Patrick. You are amazing. You will never have better — not even in France.

Solely based on the quality of the food, I recommend this place without hesitation. Everything is beyond outstanding. If I based it on the schmuck owner and some of the rude staff, I would never come back.

The French Bakery — as Ive always known this place officially named«Delices de France,» has been a family favorite for over 10 years! My family started out originally buying birthday cakes from here: the chocolate mouse cake here is unlike anything I’ve had. Albeit quiet sweet, it pairs wonderfully with an espresso… That brings me to the espresso bar. Over the years, my family and I have now made this a favorite Saturday morning coffee stop — great alternative to the over-roasted coffee at the chain around the corner. In recent years I increasingly see Bryan behind the coffee bar on busy weekend mornings; knowing he was responsible for the delicious cakes as well, it was surprising to see him jump in the busy line and help the front… But what a pleasure to have him. In contrast to some of the others behind the counter, he is always jovial and expeditious; he can regularly be heard greeting his regulars by name. The breads: amazing… The almond and chocolate croissants here are not stingy like most places, but generously full of deliciousness! This is what makes it worth the drive for my boyfriend and I to sometimes come from the beach, making this stop at the French Bakery for croissants and coffee, before heading to a local park on the water… Food — excellent Service — as mentioned, only a few specific individuals contribute to the positive interaction and service with clientele Lines — long, but tend to move along adequately Wish they had more of a café space and maybe evening hours…

The food is very good, but they haven’t figured out the benefit of calling in an order ahead of time. Most restaurants allow people to skip the line to pickup phone orders. This place has lines that can be 20+ minutes long, but even with a phone order, you’ll have to wait. The problem with this is that the order will have been made and getting cold, or a sandwich getting soggy because of the wait. Had I known there would be a wait, and I’d have to stand in line, regardless of having phoned in my order, I’d have ordered my food fresh. So, to summarize, the food is very good, but their service leaves a lot to be desired.

Have been going here for years. The almond croissants were consistently AWESOME. Went there this Monday and bought a box of almond croissants. When I bit into mine, the filling dripped out onto my plate. That is NOT normal; it is normally too thick to drip. Also, the filling tasted OK, but not the usual level of wonderful. I gave my friend one, and he immediately said, «Not as good as usual.» :( This is second time I’ve had issues with their almond croissants, so finally posting the comment. This is their signature item, which I recommend to everyone. Let’s hope they start getting it perfect EVERY time again. If they recently hired a new person, then he/she needs to be trained better.

So we came here this morning after our St. Jude walk at Zoo MIAMI we were hungry and wanted something close by so I used the trusty Unilocal app and decided on this place. I read about the long lines and without a doubt there was a line which made me really want to see what the fuss was about. The line moved rather fast l, no longer than 10 min wait and I noticed the people behind the counter were French(Yess to authenticity) we ordered 2 ham and cheese and 2 chocolate almond croissants with 2 fresh squeezed orange juice. There was no where to sit so we decided to eat in the car, the moment we took the first bite my little heart smiled and pictured myself in a little Bistro in France with my beret. We shared then chocolate almond and made our eyes roll back, it was just amazing. As we finished the croissants we realized it will be a while till we come back here, since we live rather far so we jumped back into the line bought a few things to go; 2 more ham and cheese croissants 1 turkey and cheese for my roommate, 2 Madelines, 1 mountain bread, one walnut and raisin bread and 2 noisette coffees. We picked at everything just to try and we are so excited for the next few evenings where we can enjoy the bread and coffee. I would highly recommend this place I did not try the fancy desserts but I bet we will be making that drive once we start bragging to the family about how good this place was. Bön appetite!

I’ve had this place bookmarked on Unilocal for quite a while. Why? The overwhelming reviews that on their own, made my mouth water. The reviews did not disappoint! On an errand day, I decided to drop in and grab a few croissants. I arrived on a Monday, just after 12 noon and they were packed. I noticed the sign on the door that said keep the door closed while in line(something like that). Since it was raining, I was glad that although busy, I was able to be on the inside of the shop. They kept everyone moving along at a very good pace. While waiting in line, I noticed the beautiful presentation of pastries, deserts and quiches. I wanted to order it all but settled on ordering the mini almond, mini plain and a normal sized chocolate croissant. I didn’t get the overwhelming, I’m happy to see you type of welcoming but I didn’t expect it either. It’s been a very long time since I’ve been to France but I do remember the«business» type of attitude which is fine by me. Efficiently, I was out of there quickly, bags in hand. Since I couldn’t wait, I immediately decided to try the mini almond croissant. Oh my gosh, it was sooooooo amazing and it’s taste, unexpected. Yes it was sweet but it wasn’t ridiculous sweet either. My regret, not having a cappuccino along with it. That was missing and deserving of the pairing. I’ve since tried the other croissant and they were equally as wonderful and true to a French pastry. I can assure you, this will now be a regular stop for me… LOVEDIT!

This is a small, busy bakery in Kendall that is very authentic to the pastries and other baked good I’ve had in Europe! Everything is so incredibly fresh and it’s a great place to get your baked good and quiches for the weekend. Also, if you’re allergic to soy — you’re in luck! Most of the items are soy free since everything is homemade and natural. The qiuiches, criossants, and meat pies are our favorites!

100% recommend it to anyone! I have to thank my boyfriend for introducing me to this place. They have awesome croissants, bread, sandwiches, etc. My favorites are the almond chocolate croissant, turkey croissant, apple tart and tuna sandwich. Most of the time there is a big line, but it’s worth the wait! For the quality of the food the prices are very reasonable. I’m so lucky to live close by

Excellent food here! The sandwiches are made with fresh highest quality ingredients. I have lived here for decades and don’t know where they find them. The breads and pastries are done the same way they used to be done in France. The pastries are light and flakey, the hard crust breads are chewy and delicious. Try a fruit tart but be warned, they haven’t developed a 12 step plan to let you quit.

Amazing French pastries! After having lunch at the Trini roti shop a couple of streets down, we decided to try some French pastries. I heard soo many good reviews on the croissants especially the chocolate and Choco almond ones. Well we ended up getting both and a couple of other items(I don’t remember the name lol but they were also good). The croissants had a good amount of filling and the crust was a little bit crispy and flaky. It was soo good but if it was warm I toasted I bet it would be amazing. I highly recommend trying out their pastries. Next time I’ll get more and of course the croissants again haha!

Nothing like having fresh orange juice with a side of your favorite croissant to pair your longing reunions, a quick pick up for the upcoming brunch hour, or even grabbing a box for the family/study group to share you flaky satisfaction, having to had done it all of these, it’s my croissant affair. Been coming here for years and years, this place continues to be my main spot for such craving. Especially their ham & cheese croissants and mini almond croissants, I seldom come here without grabbing one, or two, or six of these. Not only their croissants are amazing but their quiche and many mini desserts are also tasteful. Keep in mind that it gets really busy here to the point where the line goes out the front door(not a lot to walk through inside anyhow), which is usually during morning hours. Otherwise you’d cruise in like I do on a good hour, grab my favorite picks then out the door in no time.

If you didn’t drive up to a strip mall and stand outside in the humid hot weather, you might think you are actually waiting in line at a fancy Parisian Bakery! The pastries, breads, cookies and coffee’s have to be hands down parfait et delicieux(perfect and delicious), but as so many stated and I guess I reiterate, ATTITUDE is key to a business and their attitude has to be the worst I have experienced. Not even in France are they this rude. Yes, I know they are a great bakery, but if you would be a little nicer to your patrons, we might be there more often but yet again, you really do not need it, you might say, because you have so many customers. But, would it be not such a great change to have a pleasant review about your attitude, cest la vie(it’s life)! Since it is the only place that sells decent pastries down South, I guess I will continue to visit less frequent and just have the same attitude back at ya!

Always fresh and the food quality is terrific! Croissants, baguettes, pastries and desserts… There’s not a thing I haven’t tried here that hasn’t pleased me. They also make a great café latte, if you’re in the mood! A definite go-to spot! :)
