Dick’s Sporting Goods

This place is heaven for my 4 year old. He swears it’s a playground. A big thank you to the employees who have to deal with kids like mine. And thank you for having all my fitness accessories available. Dicks over Sports Authority any day.

Similar to Sports Authority.
This location is very disorganized in the sneaker section. It took us a while to find an employe to assist in locating sneaker boxes. The employee herself tried to help, but the sneaker boxes were placed in an disorganized manner.
I like the décor and feel of the store, just wish there were more sales, more staff in the floor, and more organization.

Great sporting goods store. Came in for my sons lacrosse equipment, the person that helped was knowledgeable about what I needed to buy. Great service.

This has to be the best sporting goods store in Miami.
Blows Sports Authority out of the water.
Clean, well-​organized and modern store. Plenty of room and plenty of inventory… always an issue with SA.
Only negatives were I had to look for staff to try things on and the signage for the check out line is not clear. I also was waiting in an area that I shouldn’t have, right next to a manager and he said nothing.

This place has the worst customer service. I was there to buy shoes and the guy in the shoes department was so sleepy he didn’t want to help. I asked him a question and kept yawning. Horrible! I walked out and never going back.

Like any other sports stores, the persons at the floors doesn’t have the slightest idea to give an educated recommendation, not necessarily have the best supply nor prices …

, only one cashier I asked a man for help, he said they’re right over there can you spell SPORTS AUTHORITY… going there instead

This place has just about anything you would ever need for any sport. The location is great too because there’s a bunch of good restaurants right around it

1. There weren’t any employees trained to know the products at the store on Sunday in particular the golf club products. How can you sell golf clubs on Saturday and Sunday if you don’t know how to size a person to a golf club length?
2. There was only 1 cashier.
3. The customer who asked for assistance had to wait too long for assistance.
4. The cashier was polite and friendly but I think it was probably a management problem because management didn’t have enough cashiers, didn’t have people trained to understand their product available on the weekend and apparently there weren’t enough employees to assist customers. But the cashier should have been able to type my name in correctly given that she had my drivers license.
This is what happened.
I went there this morning at 10am looking for women’s golf clubs. I’m 5’3″ so I wanted to be sized to figure out if I should get petite clubs or regular sized women’s clubs. The fellow that assisted me said, just by the regular size and we’ll cut it down to size. I said, I don’t want to buy clubs until I know what size is appropriate for me. He says, you don’t need that just get the standard size. I said, do you have an expert on golf clubs here? He said there were two and they work Monday through Friday and would be in on Monday at 9am. I said, I’ll be back then. I went ahead and picked up some golf balls, a book on golf swings, etcetera and went to the cash register. I get in line and wait. A customer walks up and asks the cashier to send someone to help her. I didn’t see the cashier call for anyone to help the customer. There is nobody in front of me, just the one person at the register buying something. I continue to wait. Then the person leaves and I go to make my purchase. Again the customer comes up and asks for someone to be called and sent to her for assistance. The cashier again tells her someone will be there but does nothing to call for assistance. She says may I have your first and last name? I gave her my driver license so she could copy it. She spelled the name Sherley. She asks me if I want to apply for credit. I said okay. But when she corrected my name she wrote Sh capital I rley. I said, wait a second if you do that there will be a discrepancy with my name and my other credit cards. I said, the name needs to be spelled the same as my driver license. She said, sorry I can’t do that because I can only edit your name in all upper case. I was wondering how she got my name in the first time although misspelled with upper and lower case and now she only has upper case available. I said, never mind about the credit, I’ll just pay with my bank card. In the meantime, a woman who was the only other person waiting at the cash register began to yell that she had waited too long. The customer who had been walking up and asking for assistance walked up again while the person waiting in line was yelling and said she had asked over and over for help and nobody had come to assist her.
I paid for my merchandise and left hearing the other two customers complaining heavily.

Wow it looks like I was wrong about Dick’s the last time I went to Dick’s one of the staff members kicked me out for no apparent reason but no the staff seems to be friendlier now and sporting goods are amazing the prices are a little pricey but i like it

First time at Dick’s Sporting Goods, very clean store attentive staff. Had some good deals on fishing and beach gear.
Nice to have another sporting goods store in the Kendall area, I’m sure its going to give Sports Authority some competition.

This was my first time at a Dick’s sporting goods and I was impressed! Much better than Sport’s Authority or Academy.
