Dominican Spa and Salon

Only Salon open on a Sunday close to my house that’s the reason I come here. They are slow are very partial to their regulars even if you arrived before they did.
They aren’t too keen on «new clients» or customer preferences when it comes to what you want done to your hair .
Came in for a color and left looking like Dalmatian — color was blotched and an incorrect shade which I sat with for an hour .
Let’s just say I’d rather throw my money in a hole than waste it with these people

Can’t believe they charged me for toner wash and just to dye my roots $ 90. I was already late for work didn’t want to bitch out the manager or pregnant girl they’re. She said she had to charge me double because they used 2 bottles of dye. Its to dye the roots one service. Not the amount of hair you have. I didn’t even get a blow dry. Descarajo

Let me start this way. I’m Dominican the owner Rosa gives us a bad name… To start her lack of professionalism and gratitude for business. I spoke with the daughter Zuli a day before to add extensions I was flying in for a wedding and requested to have this hair added in with clips. She explained it (the hair) can be added as long as I brought it in a day before… Ok straight from the airport I drove with the hair without clips… Next day in the morning I get there no work is done on the hair and I had to reiterate everything I said about this hair. I’ve been a customer for years with Margarita at this salon she is great, lacks loyalty to customers though. If I wanted to see her specifically at a certain time she would not make herself available.
After a an uncomfortable and almost heated confrontation, she resorted to gluing this hair to my head as a solution because there wasn’t enough time to add clips to this hair. She stated «Zuli is not a hair dresser and cannot decide what goes on with hair». Yet let add she works there…
It’s unfortunate that it only takes one huge major messed for lack of a better word to make a customer forget a place…
DON’T GET EXTENSIONS HERE!!! Quick fix fast money…
PS: the mission was in getting this hair and glue out my hair… Worse idea ever NEVER again!!! Never go with a quick fix…

Great blowdry! Wonderful ladies who all do a fantastic job! Always plenty of street parking. If you want a simple stress free experience this is the place

The staff and the owner are wonderful and very professional. They are ALL very talented and know how to make your hair and nails look beautiful. The owner is a great person and very nice. Their prices are not cheap but their prices are recently more reasonable. Everybody at this salon is like a family and I like that they get along and that they do very good work to satisfy their clients. The staff and owner all treat their customers like family and friends. They listen to their clients and provide great services. I am very happy with all the services they offer. The staff all have knowledge and experience and do great work. They are friendly and very professional.
The only thing that might be a problem is that this salon does not have prices
printed or written on a sign or brochure and you should ask for the price of whatever service you want before they start working on your hair or nails because it seems that every hair stylist has different prices for the exact same services so it can be confusing and expensive. It would be great if this salon had a price list or a brochure with the salon prices and that all the hair stylists charged the same price for the exact same service. They need to be consistent with their prices because sometimes their prices go from moderate to very pricey.

Do not buy the Groupon.
I got the Groupon for the Spa mani-​pedi because I assumed the $ 60 value included the Shellac (versus the cheaper classic mani-​pedi) because a normal mani-​pedi on their website is $ 45 and the shellac manicure and normal pedicure is $ 58. When I got there I found out that the $ 15 added value was just for hot towels although no hot towels were even used during the session. I don’t understand why they need to trick you with the fake total value on the Groupon so that you go in getting less than you expected. I would not have purchased the Groupon if I thought I wasn’t getting the Shellac.
Parking was limited. I would suggest getting there a few minutes early just in case you have to do a few laps around the place like I did. The place was not very clean and the manicurist working with me did not speak English so I had a difficult time communicating with her. She did a good job other a little bit of bleeding around the nail and my nails messed up right after she finished since the (dirty) fan I was had to hold my hand up too was not very powerful.
Everyone there seemed very nice and it seems as if they have a bit of following but I personally will not be back because I don’t understand the point of getting your nails done and then having to redo them on your own.
