I bought my wife an Ecoist bag for Christmas. It started to fall apart within a few months. No big deal, except there customer service won’t respond to our requests to return it. Literally, we get no response. From what I can tell, this company is in the process of shutting down. I would be happy to amend this review if we ever got a response, but I’m not holding my breath.

I’ve been here a couple times, and I always leave with a goodie in hand. The purses are well priced and SUPER durable. They are made of recycled material, but are of amazing aesthetic and quality. I get soooo many compliments!!! The photos here don’t do it justice. Stop by the showroom or check out the website. They have really really cool stuff for anyone, all ages.

Damn, this place is cool. Handbags, coin purses, wall hangings, and even dresses made out of recycled soda bottle labels and candy wrappers. Awesome! Signs around the gallery state that all recycled materials are used, but we saw rolls of fresh labels that had not been used around the space, which made us wonder… In any event, these bags are very cool, and definitely offer some art that even the average working Miamian can afford. Some of the coin purses were $ 18! Check it out!

Ecoist has one of the best Eco friendly handbags in the market. With its great innovative candy wrapper and soda can tab concept it can’t be beat! Not only is it extremely cool but you get to be trendy and help the environment at the same time. A few recent designs have been added totaling to about 50 styles with new shapes and sizes. From candy wrappers to newspaper and magazines you can find all sorts of recycled goods that makeup these great bags. It has continued to expand into different accessories items such as belts, bracelets, and even wallets for men. Ecoist handbags are the perfect gift not only for the Eco minded person but for the trendy and sassy as well. =)

Bags and accessories made of candy wrappers, food packaging, and billboards. A friend gifted me with a candy wrapper coin purse from here once. VERY cute. One might wonder who sits there eating all the candies and snacks? The handbags are actually made from repurposed candy wrappers, soda/pop labels, and other food packages that have been discarded by manufacturers due to misprints, overages, or discontinued candy lines. Instead of having the wrappers end up in landfills, they are used as raw material for the handbags. They also have pull tab bags. [ So the next time you are having a beer/soda/pop from a can, think of my next handbag purchase! The more you drink, the sooner I get my pull tab bag! Props for being eco-friendly and promoting sustainability.
