Came here for a wine night with my girls. I love the concept. The food we ordered was flavorful, and everything including the wine is very reasonably priced. Our service was good as well. We ordered risotto(can’t go wrong), tortilla espanola, mac and cheese, and the hummus platter. We had fresh churros for dessert which were a nice treat. With that being said, don’t come here expecting a quiet place to chill. It was extremely loud and we frequently had to yell to communicate with each other at the table to compete with the atmosphere. In addition to that, they brought in a singer and set her and her speaker up right next to our table, with the speaker facing our direction. Thankfully we were finishing our meal/drinks at that point, so we didn’t have to deal with that for too long… it could have been better had they lowered the volume a bit for such a tiny little place. It’s not a club! As I said, the place is reasonably priced, great wine selection and they have a good happy hour advertised so I’d come back, with lowered expectations.

Last night was our last night in Miami after having been stranded there for five days due to snow issues up North. We weren’t too hungry but wanted a snack before heading off to the airport. Unilocal reviews sounded good and sure enough, they were right on target! What a fun, cool place! We sat at one of their high top tables next to a row of wines that offer a large enough variety to satisfy any wine aficionado. We got there during happy hour and were able to get glasses of champagne for $ 6 each. At 7PM the price goes up to $ 7, etc. We had the chickpeas, meatballs, and sausage and enjoyed them all. The portions were perfect and we left for the airport feeling satisfied and happy. I hear they have live music on weekends and wish we had known so as to come for that over the preceding weekend. Next time?

Our waiter was Great, he described the specials so deliciously we didn’t even look at the menu, I love the amazing variety of wines, the music this night was not good but that’s ok, the food was devine, the pork loin with cheesy grits, the bubble of mozzarella with cream cheese inside is to die for, the dates in bacon OMG, we all had a great time

This is a casual get-together place, with a nice atmosphere, good tapas, and a large selection of wines. Very cozy, and it can be considered kind of romantic. If you are looking for a different place, this is a nice option in the area.

Wine! Wine! Wine! I wanted to go to this place for a while just because it sits in the grove in this lovely building with a ton of people pouring in and out. When you finally get to go you are affronted with the wine walls! Each of the restaurant’s walls is lined with shelves of wine, which are all available and you can grab off the shelf. And not to mention reasonable priced! No marking up of a 12 $ bottle to 40 $ here. If you do want to get fancy with your wine, they have that too! The food: the food has been superb every time I’ve gone. I was a little bummed out this time because they weren’t serving the paella, but the 9 $ mussels and frites Monday special is to die for. Mussels bathed in red spicy sauce with thin crispy French fries on the side makes the perfect dish after some glasses of sangria and appetizers. The drinks: as mentioned they have wine. Can’t go wrong there. But this time we also got sangria. I usually go for the white sangria because I like to avoid the bitter red sangria that happens when it’s been sitting out too long or the wine is past its due, but in this case both were perfect. The white was soft with an aftertaste of apricot, and the red was a smooth blend of something like Pinot noir and a sweet Spanish wine, with little apple pieces. The service: the service kind of depends on the time of day you go — we went at happy hour on a Monday and the waitress was very attentive. If you go on a weekend though the place gets really busy so it may take a little longer to be served. Realistically though nothing you wouldn’t expect for a little bustling restaurant straight out of Spain. If you want a quiet dining experience with linens and a full service of silver, this isn’t the place for you. If you however want to travel to Valencia or Barcelona without the flight step right in!

NPS = 8 Awesome wine and tapas bar you would never guess is located where it is! This place is a great meet-up spot for friends to take down some bottles of wines and enjoy a couple of tapas. The tapas are pretty good and the corkage fee is great if you buy the wines on premise(I believe it was somewhere between $ 3 – 8 per bottle). From what I saw on the menu, there are no large dishes and everything is served tapas style which makes it great for larger parties. Order the croquetas. It’s one of their best dishes. The churrasco is fantastic as well and the lamb was very succulent on the tabla de carnes. As for the wine, you can’t go wrong with selecting some of your favorites. If you are not sure what wine to get, ask for a recommendation. The staff is very helpful. Parking is a nightmare, so you might have to valet. But honestly, if you’re going to get your drink on you are better off getting an Über for the night. Check this place out if you’re in the neighborhood!

A friend recommended this place because of their fantastic wine prices, but I went for the Saturday happy hour. The sangria is the best Ive ever had, both white and red. The food was even better. I had the assorted cheese plate and an order of the stuffed meatballs. I highly recommend this place!

Good selection and cheap wine is enough to keep me coming back. Happy Wine could serve a just a discount wine store and I’d still come back. What makes me so Happy(sorry for the pun.) about Happy Wine is two main reasons. First and foremost is the staff. By third time I came the staff greeted me by name, which blew me away. The staff is able to transform our vague descriptions of what we want in a wine or what we are eating that night into a narrow selection. My last check-in, I was on my way back from school so I was wearing a FIU chef jacket. The manager insisted I come in to the kitchen and meet the Chef. Secondly is the layout. I can’t decide if happy wine is a store or a restaurant. Walking through the isles, you have tables in between, of people laughing and dinning. At first it seems odd to reach over someone’s dinner for a bottle of prosecco but it adds to the intimacy of Happy Wine. I’d recommend coming here for«happy hour» and sorry in advanced for reaching over you food :)

The name alone doesn’t do it justice… Happy wine … No, more like HEAVENONEARTH! As usual Unilocal never let’s me down when I seek for help… This place is awesome, great wine selection arranged by country, atmosphere, food, client service, and even a musician walking around! What more can you ask for… A perfect location for a date night after a rough/made it to the weekend week LOL! The food is delicious from the tapas(my favorite were truffle mushroom risotto, the cheese platter and chorizo al vino) to the main entrees. Dessert is eh eh. Wasn’t a fan! I will be seeing you again happy wine!!!

This place is a hidden gem! If you are a wine lover, tapas fan or simply a connoisseur trying to find what you enjoy… This place hits the«happy spot». I enjoyed the wide selection of wines. No matter the region or grape, they have lots to choose from. The staff was friendly and fast which is always a huge plus. The food… I must say that they have secured a really talented chef. I had the pleasure of meeting her as I wanted to know who created these dishes that had me wanting more. The«gambas» are a must as well as the dates with chocolate. If you are like me and enjoy small plates, you’ll enjoy this place. The relaxed ambience, music and seating is unique.(One eats on stools they make in house out of wine crates, and the tables are made of wine barrels). Very important to mention, I went twice before writing this review about the food. I have gone by more than that to purchase wine to include: ice wine, port, Spanish and California wines as well as Champagne. If you love #Veuve like I do, head over there for #HappyHour Delish!

My girlfriend picked the spot for a night out and it’s a very cool spot. They have a huge variety of wines to choose from. You come in and pick your the wine you want off the wall, have great tapas(meat balls were amazing), and the environment is very casual and calm. I definitely recommend this spot for a date night between couple or a few friends who’d like to have a few drinks. P. S. Hank was my server and she was great!

We decided to come again on a Saturday for date night, and it was super busy so we had to wait for a table by the bar. If you have been at this place before, you will know that the bar is not very comfortable because of the small walk-way to the entrance, plus all the boxes of wine right under the counter. As uncomfortable as we were, I have to say we had a great time. Not only were the bartenders(a gentleman and a young lady) amazing and super friendly, but a waiter came with some croquettes for us to try(on the house) and to apologize for the wait and inconvenience. I had never tried their bacalao croquettes, because I had never been brave enough before to order them. Bacalao is a fish that has a very distinct taste(strong and salty), so if not cooked well it does’nt taste all that good. To our surprise, these croquettes were delicious. We ended up having such a good time at the bar with the energetic bartenders that we decided to stay there for dinner instead of going to a table. We stood the entire time, but we were able to listen to the music and had a good time with the staff. The staff recommendations were excellent from wine to dishes. It was an amazing date night thanks to the staff, who turned the night around and made the experience enjoyable for us. 5 stars to Happy Wine’s staff because it is very difficult to turn a bad experience into one of the most fun and memorable ones. At the end of the night, the bartender told us that on Sundays, they have paella. We told him that we will definitely be back, and thanked him for the info. And guess what we ended up doing? You are probably thinking that we went back soon after all that, and you are right! We did! We went back the very next day for the Sunday paella. We were happy to see the same bartender and thanked him again. This time we got a wonderful waitress. She made excellent wine suggestions to us and was very accommodating. The place was quiet and not as busy as the night before, but the staff was still super friendly. Many of them recognized us and even came to the table to say hi. One more time, we had an excellent time! So we got the paella. It was a small portion but it was delicious!!! And of course we had some croquettes!!! It seems we have a great time every time we come here, because the staff is excellent, the food is delicious, and the wine… oh the wine!!! It’s everywhere!!! hmmm its like a piece of heaven ;) In short — If you enjoy good wine, delicious simple tapas, and having a good time with great people then you must try this place. It gets very busy on Fridays and Saturday nights, so if you have a big group you should get there early or make reservations. This is my recommendation and experience Buen provecho!

My wife and I were invited to have a glass of wine here with a fellow Unilocal friend on a Saturday night and what a great experience we had. It was our first time here and let me start by saying the place is very unassuming from the front and the parking is somewhat limited and its very easy to miss so keep and eye out for the sign. When my wife and I walked inside we were a little surprised to see hundreds of bottles of wine stocked on shelves from floor to ceiling. The place is very small and there are not very many tables so you feel a little cramped but cozy at the same time. The selections of wine are vast and from every corner of the globe and at every price point to fit every budget. Our friend was already there and had a bottle of Argentinian wine waiting for us. We sipped our wine and just talked and relaxed for a while. When we got a little hungry we ordered the meat and cheese platter which we picked at for about an hour and I have no complaints at all, it was very good. About and hour after that and after our second bottle of wine we were still hungry so we ordered the Parrillada platter which is basically a big plate of all kinds of cooked meat and let me tell you it was delicious. Everything was served sizzling hot and was the perfect compliment to a nice chilled glass of wine. I really liked it and highly recommend it. Towards the end of the night the very nice manager William came to our table, introduced himself and spent quite a bit of time just talking with us and making us feel like we were old friends. He made sure we were happy with our wine, our meal and our overall experience. Our evening turned out just perfect. We had very good wine and excellent meat dishes. We met a very nice manager who not only cares about his business but cares about his customers. I really like that and I’ll be a regular here for sure.

Is there such a thing as Heaven? Yes. Yes, there is and this is it! Hello… WINE…TAPAS?! One of my best friends lives right around the corner so we pop in here pretty often. It is a small location. Parking isn’t great, but I love the atmosphere. There is just wine wall-to-wall here. Imagine almost every wine you could think of. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. You can go in to just buy wine, or you can buy wine sit down drink it and enjoy some tapas. They run amazing specials throughout the week as well! I especially enjoy their brunch mimosas! I go in, I browse for at least 30 minutes before I can actually decide. Normally, I stand in the cooler for about 15 minutes salivating over all of the more upscale bottles I could never afford. Their selection is immense and there is no possible way to beat their prices. Once I decide on a delicious bottle I try to find a convenient table. That is the only downside to this place. Because there is wine LITERALLYEVERYWHERE the tables are on top of the wine, so it is difficult when shopping and people are sitting there. But hey, we are all wine lovers right? The store normally will have their super specials or new wines on display. Love to see those. After I finally decide and sit down, I pour over the menu. I ALWAYS get the calamari. Always goes well with whatever I order. The croquettas are delicious! Basically, any tapa on the menu. We normally order 4 – 5 and share. PERFECTLITTLEWINESPOT. I use to go at least once a week, and after my latest experience I couldn’t believe I hadn’t reviewed them. I might be biased because I love wine, but this spot is on point! Floor to ceiling, wall to wall, inch to inch wineeeeeee! They have nice glasses and give you the correct glass most of the time. And the bathrooms are spotless. Wine heaven. There you go.

This is a small wine bar located right off Bird Avenue and 27th Avenue, right next door to a Flanigan’s. It is so inconspicuous that unless you know where to look you will drive right past it without knowing it. These are the type of places I like. From the outside it does not look like much. Parking is either valet or street. However, when you walk inside you feel like you are in an actuall wine cellar. This place has about 10 total tables and it gets really packed, especially on Friday nights. Around the tables are shelves full of types of wine, all labeled by country. You have wine from US, Italy, Chile, Argentina, France, etc. both red and wine. The way it works is once you are seated, you walk around and choose the bottle of wine you want. Upon sitting down, the waiter will come and open the bottle for you(that’s there corkage fee, which makes their prices lower than other places) and hand you the menu. You also have the option of purchasing a bottle and take it with you which is a nice touch as well. We ordered the serrano ham and manchego cheese tapa while we sipped our bottle of Malbec, which I can say, is one of the most delicious and refreshing wines there is(highly recommended). We then ate our tapa which was also delicious while were serenaded by a strolling musician. If you need a nice place to chill, that’s affordable, not pretentious, or just want to take your significant other for a romantic date, you could do worse than Happy Wine.

I love this place. Great wine at an affordable price and delicious food. I wish I could spend my afternoons here drinking and eating, I would be so content. However, my body would not thank me, so I will limit my visits.
