Was getting medical treatment from Dr Ramikassoon but she was having a bad day and kneed me in the b***s. Then dumped my purse upside down, mocked and berated me, swore at me, would not leave the room. Would not recommend.
One star because, after all, she was having a bad day so I guess it justifies the assault and verbal abuse that went on for like five minutes.

Not firing your abusive staff like Dr. Anjali (who should not even call herself a doctor) is a sign that you care less about your patients and more about money. So I would not recommend this place even to my worst enemy.

Fire that dirty doctor. She is suppose to treat, and cause no harm. «Well I was drunk I called a Über driver and I had a really bad day». I guess I will assault someone just for the F of it. I’m rich, and a doctor so I can get away with anything. BS

This place is gigantic! I’m from West Palm Beach so this is all new for me. It has friendly doctors, a nice scenery, and it even has its own restaurants!

One of their resident doctors is now famous and still getting paid. Shameful.

I went there to get some surgery done but this little Indian drunk broad was fighting with a Über driver! An the she threw all the stuff out my pockets and tried to walk away! She crazy! They call her the bloodthirsty Ramkannnisssonn!

I took my son last December 2014 to ER because of a broken bone in his left leg, today September 2015 we still waiting for RIGHT treatment or at least a treatment !! I cant find the right words to express my frustration about Jackson Memorial Hospital SYSTEM, the only thing that i can say is that It is so sad that my son still has to walk with a boot since today one doctor tell us that they should not placed a boot–
(cast) since the bone is twist, not treatment today also! Take your own risk if you visit JMH. They are to busy charging people insurance bills.

Visiting Miami on vacation, staying at the Jackson hospital was not part of the plan. My wife developed stomach pains and nausea early in the morning. We went to the ER around noon. The entire process sucks. A nurse ot tech takes your vitals within the first 30 – 45 minutes of arrival. Then it takes another 1hr to 1hr and half to be seen by the nurse to send you to the right section of the hospital. We spent 9 hours in the hospital, two IV bags and a CT scan to determine a bad reaction to food she ate. By the way we ate the same things the day prior. If you need to go to the ER, I’ve been told University of Miami hospital is your best option.

Waited over an hour in the er and we were the only ones here. Thank god it wasn’t too serious or would have been dead.

I have never been so disgusted with patient care as I am right now at Jackson. It is truly disgusting to hear from a nurse that my mother’s questions were «taking away from her lunch time, which would delay [her] work later. That her lunch break was running and she had no time to address our concerns at the moment.
Although my mother is fine, the patient care we experienced was unacceptable, so much so that we left AMA.
My mother was admitted for observation and we arrived at the room at 1pm. The nurse told us we had «missed the doctor, who finishes doing her rounds at 12, so we would have to wait to the next day in the morning». We requested to see another physician and her response was that this was impossible. We complained with the nurse manager and the insurance company, but no one seem to care.
To top it off my mother had been NPO since 2pm on the day before and although we were told by three people that they would bring water and some food for her, it never arrived.

If you have insurance go somewhere else. The service is horrible, I guess it’s typical for any government run facility.

Parking situation needs to addressed & made with a degree of common sense, efficiency & staffed ²⁴⁄₇. Security told my mom that machine wouldn’t take her token to leave parking because it was after 1900 hours. UNBELIEVABLE. Saving grace was operator «Arilynn» who quickly came to rescue. Make her community input person on board of directors, to advocate for absurdities that public must endure, just to get efficient service in non-​treatment areas. Place is a mess. I’ve worked at many hospitals throughout eastern U.S., this place in poorly administrated all around.

They sistem doesn’t work emergency room I was waiting two hours just get skin infection. finally I get in see doctor. It was two or three doctor has almost 30 patients before me. It wasn’t good bc when coming people walk in or emergency car. they sent them. Same room same doctor. i wasn’t happy. i know u are big hospital alot of
doesn’t make any sense coming emergency patients. i have still infection bc I couldn’t see doctor I left.

I hate going to Jackson, it is a big hospital and easy to get lost. The hospital needs some update especially the patients rooms. I also do not like the fact you have to pay for parking when in most hospitals it is free. However, my mom had an emergency specialty surgery they could only do at Jackson and the doctors and nurses were absolute miracle makers. The saved her life and for that I am forever grateful. If you need any major surgery just go to Jackson and you will be taken care of without a doubt specially in complex cases.

Got here at 2pm today with my sick 93 yr old grandmother and just got our room (1:15am). Nurse stated that the reason for not getting a room earlier was because the computers were down from 10pm to 1am. Looks to me that the reason we weren’t moved earlier was because our nurse did not want to see any new patients. Avoid this hospital at all costs unless needed.

worst hospital in the United States period. The employees do not attend to you. The only good thing about this hospital is the trauma center, so If something really bad happens to you then your in luck. Other then that worst hospital

Please avoid this hospital. I had to wait 14 hours to get attended, and once i did the service they provided my sick niece was terrible. They were rude and annoyed at any questions we had. The place was dirty and, i felt as if i was in danger the whole time.

ok, this one star (sorry there is not zero) is not for the medical staff but for an area no one has mentioned in their reviews. COMMUNICATION. Every call we made to JM took forever to connect, apparently extensions cannot be entered on the automated system but rather by an operator, and the sound quality of EVERY call is worse than the 1969 transmissions from the moon. They must have the most out of date, technologically flawed phone system in existence. When one needs a hospital or is trying to find out about someone they love at a hospital, COMMUNICATION is critical. This is one place they really drop the ball.
btw, we concur with other reviewers on the administrative staff … some of the meanest, rudest and most uncaring people to walk the face of the earth. almost without exception. But then as «out of towners» from a kinder, gentler place, we found that true of the vast majority of Miami residents … so maybe it’s just a cultural thing.

Avoid if at all possible.
I have been here twice because it was the closest hospital in both emergency situations. My most recent visit was for kidney stones. I was in visibly excruciating pain yet it took nearly around an hour to get any pain medicine. I have a history of kidney stones (and told the nurses this multiple times) — any other hospital has rushed me in and immediately tried to comfort the level 10 pain.
The ONLY nice person I encountered was Dr. Knight who was very pleasant and helpful. Everyone else (besides a young guy who came to take my blood pressure) had a nasty attitude and said that things «weren’t their problem.»
Hopefully never returning here.

Being that I’ve been unfortunate enough to have five surgeries in the last year I have much experience in the hospital atmosphere. That being said I’ve had two surgeries at UM next door (which I still prefer since its a private university hospital) and this was my first time at Jackson. Most of the doctors swap between the two institutions. Jackson has its benefits and its disadvantages. This is a public hospital so you are subjected to quite the interesting group of individuals including crazy bums strolling in. The check in process was a nightmare. I was told to show up at 5am as my surgery was supposed to begin at 7:30, I was not sent upstairs to prep for surgery till 8am and my surgery did not begin until noon. Three hours in the waiting room! Ridiculous. Once upstairs and prepped for surgery, the nurses were great and very experienced. My IV didn’t even leave a mark or bruise. My nurse was amazing. Unfortunately I didn’t get his name but he made me laugh the entire time. The team of surgeons are world class. If you want the best medical attention you can get, come here. I’m serious. My surgeon is world renowned and the hospital provides the most cutting edge equipment. Did I mention they are leading the bloodless surgery movement? No need for blood transfusions here! Thank you to the entire bloodless surgery team that walked me through and explained the entire process and options I had at my disposal. Really leading the way and at the cutting edge of the medical field.
