I’m a fan! I had the cookies and cream and it was major relish. Their motto is to freeze the ice cream with nitrogen which is what we breath therefore more natural. I couldn’t tell a major difference between this type and any other I had but it was very good. The waffle cones are made to order therefor very fresh. I like that a lot and was very tasty. The staff was very friendly and helpful. So I would say, this place is a big yes. Check it out!

The good: Excellent flavor The«could be better»: No prices on the board. Only how many scoops and 5 – 6 flavors. Cone? no cone?. I just asked for 2 scoops of 2 different flavors and i got 2 small scoops on a small vase. Total: 2 orders of this $ 14 with 15% tip. Really? Conclusion: will not go back.

Nice place but a bit overpriced for me($ 5 for very small bite). Admittedly, very delicious small bite. Guava and cheese with gram crackers on top was awesome.

Liquid nitrogen ice cream… While the whole experience was and unique, the ice cream did not taste much different than regular ice cream(not saying that it was bad it was just not that different) Nevertheless, I would keep coming here with family, friends, and dates just to get the experience. Prices are fair and parking is easy available.

I have been to several Nitrogen Ice Cream places around Miami and Lulu’s is lackluster comparatively, so to me it was disappointing. The prices are way too high for the quantity of ice cream(a small cup was $ 6+) and the number of toppings/flavors left something to be desired. I probably will not be back. There are too many other good nitrogen ice cream places in the area for a much smaller price tag!

Super modern take of an ice cream parlor, with chemistry in its blend! This Miami store is located on a long boulevard plaza so parking wraps around the building, make sure to pay the meter or you will be ticketed! Store it’s self is cozy and small, a cup of ice cream with two scoops of flavored ice cream is $ 5.00 each with NO toppings. Delicious ice cream and a fun try to those who have never experience something like it before. My family from New Jersey came down and we’re excited in the idea of nitrogen made ice cream!

Yas, yas, yassss! I’ve had Lulu’s Nitrogen bookmarked since they probably opened. I didn’t live in Downtown before, so I was never in the area ever for a random ice-cream treat. Now that I live down the block, I have no excuses. I finally came by the other night and… wowwww is all I can say. This is what ice-cream was suppose to taste like all along. I don’t think I can ever go back to the non-nitrogen ways. It was so thick, creamy and PERFECT. I always have a problem with tasting a real, potent duce de leche flavor when I choose that flavor in other shops. This was just crazy potent and delicious. It tasted like rich caramel and I savored every little bite. The flavors are always changing and I drooled when I saw another Unilocaler post they had guava & goat cheese one day. WHAAT. It gets pretty packed in there, but the way they handle every customers, it goes by pretty quick. They also have a cute rewards program with text messaging like the new radio stations do nowadays. This is convenient and pleasant when you are person like me and HATES spam emails. I loved every aspect of this place and it will definitely be my go to spot when I need something small and sweet. BTW: fresh farm local ingredients here. So no nasty GMOS and preservatives at all. MAJOR, MAJOR plus.++

Unbelievable ice cream! And the whole presentation is very interesting! As other Unilocalers have recommended, go with the waffle cone. I had vanilla ice cream with Oreos, while the hubs had plain pistachio ice cream. Both were excellent!

It was 90 degrees and my friend and I(both w mighty sweet teeth) needed to cool off. I had been wanting to try Nitrogen icecream and today was the day! Lulus is on the ground floor of a larger complex and was easy to find. Walking in, we were greeted kindly, the simple, modest décor was inviting. Well placed mason jars, chalkboard menu, and wall plants make for a very charming and clean atmosphere. I ordered 2 scoops(the smallest size available) of cookies n cream w Oreo bits and my friend ordered Nutella w chocolate chips. Watching the process of making the icecream on the spot with nitrogen was pretty cool. Can’t say I didn’t snapchat video that moment. The icecream was creamy, dreamy, delicious. The Nutella had more of a gelato consistency while the cookies n cream more of icy. Overall would come visit again to try another flavor. Downside is that all toppings cost .75. And one can only sprinkle so much on a size small. First topping should be free in my book!

Yum. Yum. Yum yum yum. So this is a relatively new spot in my hood and Ive been wanting to check it out since it opened but I keep forgetting. Finally I am sitting at home and begin to crave ice cream(ladies, you know what I’m talking about). So I convince the bf to join me and walk the dog over to check this spot out. They make the ice cream in front of you after you order which is super cool. The woman working behind the counter was very welcoming and also inquired whether or not it was our first time, which it was, so she took the time to explain how it all works and that was appreciated. I order 2 scoops, one of coffee and one of Camille and it hit the spot. I wanted more and usually a small cup suits me just fine. So, of course, I finished the bf’s 2 scoops which were strawberry and cookies and cream. Veryyyyyyyyyyy good. I actually wish they served doggy Ice cream or had some in stock to sell as that would have seriously been a home run. Think about it. End note: go!

So we actually went here to try to sell them Girl Scout cookies to use as toppings and they did and that’s awesome, but that’s not why I’m reviewing them. Of course we wanted to try their ice cream. We love the nitrogen ice cream place near us in Pinecrest so we figured this one must be as good. Wrong. Lulus is even better. They have their own cow that they get the milk from or something, I don’t completely remember what the story was but it was so creamy and you could taste the freshness. Nitrogen alone makes ice cream better but when you have such great ingredients on top of that its just insane. If you’re in midtown or wynwood area and your thinking about getting ice cream, go to Lulu’s.

I hired lulu’s ice cream catering for a small corporate event in Mid-town Miami. Was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had! She came in with all her set up, took her about 15 mins to set up which was really quick! Such great details and personalized little touches that I really feel in love with. The ice cream flavors I got to taste was cookies and cream and yes was it oh so creamy and delicious :) Such a great concept and loved every single moment of it. Great service, great ice cream!

I’m in love with their ice cream! They are made fresh from scratch. Their concept of using nitrogen gas to prepare the ice cream is just awesome! They prepare the base of each flavor using local and fresh ingredients and then they use magic right in front of you when they prepare your ice cream. It’s like a small mad scientist kinda store,(lololol) not really! But watching them prepare your ice cream makes you feel like you are at a lab with the smoke taking over and cooling down the room! It is so much fun to watch! I’m a big kid and love those shenanigans! Their cones are also made fresh in front of you. It’s such a great experience and with different flavors to choose from. I come from far far away just to enjoy their flavors… It’s also so much fun to watch first time customers witness the making off their dessert! It’s priceless!

Been here a few times now and always happy when we do. The concept is starting to spread and nitro ice cream is the«cool» new thing(punny I know). This shop is super cute and I love going into it – there is just a feeling of welcome there and everyone is so bubbly. There is always a mix up of flavors which is nice. Big fan of the cookies and cream. I do have to say that there is a little bit lacking in the fullness of the flavors — wish they would have a little more flavor in them. Parking — meh… there is a lot behind but you have to be there at the right time which rarely happens. Also — their pop-up shop at farmer’s markets is clutch on a hot day.

Once again Krys P. has lead me to a gem, not just a regular gem, but a treasure that I had not experienced in years… ice-cream. So your thinking why haven’t I had ice cream in many eons? Its simple it boils down to two words GMO& Animal cruelty. So what exactly is Nitrogen ice cream? — it’s liquid nitrogen used to flash-freeze the cream base. A speedy process that doesn’t allow as many ice crystals to form as traditional freezing methods, creating an ultra-creamy ice cream. Being that it’s Instant ice cream there’s no need for any of the dreaded Monsanto babies(preservatives). Which brings me to Lulu’s Nitrogen ice cream founder Luisa Santos, a local Miami-an and MDCC grad. So how has Luisa Santos brought me out of my self imposed swami-like ice-cream exile? 1) She sources her milk from local grass fed cows at Dakin Dairy Farms.(no rBST hormones) 2) Lulu’s contains no preservatives, stabilizers, or emulsifiers, in reality no chemicals at all. Lulu’s is located in the new commercial/residential district off of BIscayne blvd in the Omni area. Parking was a breeze as metered parking is located on all of the surrounding residential streets. There is also a free parking garage for the complex on 19th Street. I love the clean wooded minimalist look and feel of Lulu’s. As a testament to their fresh products, Lulu’s mint & peppermint flavors actually use the leaves from in house grown mint & peppermint plants. It appears that they have daily changing flavors of ice-cream & sorbet, interestingly the day I visited they had vegan options of strawberry sorbet & coconut ice-cream. I decided on vanilla in a waffle cup, and coconut shavings as a topping(.75 $/per topping), I was kind of excited as I hadn’t had a waffle cone since I was a teenager. Being I was seeking a clean taste I didn’t choose one of the two sauces peanut butter and guava(.75 $/each). It was kind of interesting watching the ice-cream being made right before my eyes, especially with all the nitrogen mist being produced. Wow talk about thick and creamy I had no idea fresh ice-cream was suppose to taste like this. Savoring the delicious vanilla along with the waffle cone was truly a treat! This is another reason why the localization of food is so important and valued, excessive ice crystals are a result of the commercialization of ice cream.

While most other nitrogen ice cream places emphasize the science aspect, with menu like the periodic table or staff dressed up as mad scientists, Lulu’s creates a different feel with its décor with reclaimed wood, topiary logo, and dried flowers. It also sets itself apart from competition by using local, grass-fed cow’s milk and seasonal ingredients from local farms. Even their cups and spoons are made with recycled materials and they use mason jars instead of plastic cups(and they put lemon and mint in their water!) Totally deserved an extra point for being green! Compare to others, Lulu has a small menu, with only seven flavors and a handful of toppings. That’s likely because they stay away from artificial flavors. I was hoping to try honey lavender but it was not available, but I saw guava and goat’s milk, and being known for trying the weirdest items on a menu, I sprang for that. As others mentioned, ice cream is really smooth and rich. The two scoops looked small in a cup but turned out to be quite satisfying. Moms will probably bring their children to the other ice cream parlors because they are more kid friendly, but this is where they will go, to indulge in peace and tranquility, after yoga, or with girlfriends. BTW — parking: don’t feed the meters on the street. Enter through 19th Street to the garage where you get free parking. Glad for that as I’d definitely be more likely to come back.

If you love ice cream, you have to try Lulu’s. I’m not one to go out of my way for ice cream but when temps are as high as they are these days, sometimes you just need a scoop to cool off. First off, let’s talk about how there’s a FREE parking lot behind the shop. Makes the experience all that more enjoyable. Now, I guess I’ve gotten lucky because I’ve never had to wait for my ice cream. They offer a rotating selection of flavors. Not a ton since everything depends upon sourcing local and seasonal ingredients, but to the point where everyone should find something they can dig. So far, I’ve tried the key lime, guava and cheese, Nutella, dulce de leche, and strawberry sorbet. I honestly can say I’ve enjoyed each and every one. The preparation with nitrogen makes the ice cream creamier than other varieties. If you’re looking for something lighter, I was really impressed by the super fresh tasting sorbet that still managed to be soft and creamy despite the fact it’s vegan! The smallest size is two scoops for $ 5 and you can mix flavors. It’s large enough to fill you up or even to split between two people, if you’re looking for a small treat. The smell of fresh waffle cones envelops the space. Right now, they have a special Oreo waffle cone which I’m sure is delicious. Sometimes the little touches make all the difference and I really love the branded mason jars next to the water cooler, especially because ice cream makes me thirsty! So yes, I’m so happy to have this spot near downtown. I’ll continue to bring ice cream lovers here for a fix!

It’s sooooo good and cooling to the taste buds! specially during these hot summer days!!! If you haven’t tried it yet, then you must make it a pit stop soon!

Ok, you know I’m kinda nerdy, so Nitrogen Ice Cream it’s probably enough for me! But don’t think I’m biased, the ice cream is pretty awesome. If your expect the standard American ice cream this the wrong place. It’s sweet enough for an European taste. Tips: hint of mint and coconut are my suggestion!

Neat new concept in ice cream making. A young lady recently opened this ice cream shop from developing the concept in her dorm room. I had the small for $ 5, which includes two little scoops. You can mix and match flavors. I had the mint and cookies and cream. Cookies and cream didn’t have that much flavor. The mint was neat because there were chopped mint leaves in the ice cream! Usually mint ice cream seems to be made with artificial flavoring… not at LuLu’s! The ice cream is not as creamy and rich like other brands. Flavors also included produce from local farmers… mangos, strawberries, etc. They scoop the ice cream into Kitchen Aid Mixers and then add the nitrogen and so it smokes and gets really cold. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Staff is friendly and quick. There is a restroom for customers. There is a jug of flavored water customers are welcome to. Overall, I thought it was okay and a neat concept to watch(see pics) but I won’t be returning.
