I loved this place! While I’m normally hesitant about going to trendy looking salons and spas, since they’re usually accompanied by a big price tag and big egoed employees to boot, Magic Hands was the total opposite. I went in on 10⁄28 for acrylic stiletto nails that I was planning to rock as Catwoman for a Halloween party that weekend. The esthetician was very attentive to my comforts, needs, and the task at hand.(No pun intended.) The process was long– about an hour and a half– but only because she was meticulously applying, smoothing and painting each nail, making sure everything was absolutely flawless. She stayed an hour past closing just to get the job done right. The receptionist/assistant manager was also sooo very pleasant and accommodating. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I would recommend Magic Hands to anyone looking for great quality & reasonably priced manicures,(although I’m sure their waxing and hair styling services are equally fantastic as well!)

I bought a Groupon for this place so I had no idea what I was getting into. I purchased a Groupon for acrylic nails & called the salon to ask if they charged extra for the coffin shape, the receptionist told me they didn’t. I then proceeded to ask about an appointment and she told me they were doing walk ins at the moment. I arrived at about 3:45pm and didn’t get to start until 4:00pm because the nail technician and all the other stylist only spoke Spanish. Then I showed her coffin shape nails & she pulled out pre cut stilettos. Once I managed to explain that coffin shape is different, we got started. It was her FIRST time doing coffin shape nails. She had completely no idea how to do it, so the owner came over & they were trying to figure it out. It took FOREVER for them BOTH to cut and file them. After that, she applied the acrylic on my nail… She kept going back & adding more to each nail. Usually it is done on the first try. Her brush was also damaged & acrylic kept getting stuck in it so she had to clean it after each nail. Once the acrylic was on she started using the machine to thin and even my nails out. She used 3 different heads & my nails still came out bad! She also cut up EACH of my fingers & even burned my pinky by holding down the machine on it too long!!! After she painted my nails & kept using a wooden stick to clean up all of her mistakes. She kept accidentally scraping polish off my nail as well! Then she went on to using acetone & a brush to remove any other excess nail polish which burned sooo bad!!! Mind you, after this. I still had nail polish on my skin. Then she put the top coat on(this is when she started rushing) and missed numerous spots! Overall, my nails look horrible! The polish job, the nail lengths all differ, the shape and all my cuts! On top of that, it took her FOURHOURS to finish!(No special design or anything, just one solid color on each nail). If you’re planning to use a Groupon. Keep it a secret! She was not happy when she found out. Also, I was the only customer there the entire time until a man came in for a quick haircut. There was also a child watching over the nail technician shoulders and distracting her. By the way, if you’re still willing to risk it. Use Apple Maps to find the location. Google was off 0.7miles. P. S. They do NOT offer gel nails OR gel polish! All they have is a gel topcoat which they charge $ 10 extra for!
