Miami Fitness Center

The gym has a good amount of cardio machines, free weights and fitness equipment. It’s in a good area, in the heart of Calle 8. The staff in the gym are very helpful and are glad to answer any of your questions. There are a handful of personal trainers that are knowledgeable if you are in need of one. It’s a nice fitness center and makes you feel like it’s your own personal gym.

I had always passed signs on SW 8^th Street that say «No Contract Gym!» but couldn’t find the place on Unilocal… and still couldn’t find it even after driving right past it more than once. Now I know, it’s in the back of a little strip mall off of SW 29^th Avenue.
I think «gym» is a strong word to use here. Really, it looks like a bunch of friends got together and threw some work out equipment in their mother’s living room. It’s tiny and doesn’t have much to offer. When I walked in, I literally walked INTO the «front desk» (got a nasty bruise in the process). Then, a guy who was working out about two feet away asked if I needed help. I understand most people who work at gyms are in good shape, but this guy couldn’t even stop his stationary bike to tell me about the place.
I was able to learn (no thanks to him) that memberships start at $ 20/​month. I think that’s just gym equipment access. There is also a tiny little room where classes are held, so I guess the price goes up depending on what you’re looking for.
Definitely not what I was looking for, but at least I solved my mystery of the lost no contract gym.
