Microtel Inn & Suites Miami

Clean, comfortable, safe and well priced. Staff was friendly and helpful. Outdated TVs but I don’t watch TV so no big deal. If you are looking for quality and value this is the best I’ve found in the area.
Had to change my review to 4 stars after the «breakfast». The gravy wasn’t hot enough to thaw the frozen biscuits.

Should be renamed macro-​smell! When we opened the door to our room the smell of urine was overwhelming! They apparently allow pets because the bottom of the chair was chewed on and the carpet was scratched up and partly missing under the door where it meets the hall carpet. The beds seemed clean but had several of yellow stains on the sheets. The carpets are filthy. My feet stick to it as I walk around. The corners in the bathroom are thick with grime and hair. Obviously, the maintenance is lacking. A hotel should be maintained and carpet cleaned on a regular basis.
We got our swimming cloths on and went to the pool. Boy, were we in for a rude surprise! The area had just got the first snow storm of the winter. One window to the pool room was missing and it was freezing in the pool area. There was even snow and slush on the floor next to the window. We thought at least we cld get into the hot tub and warm up. Sometimes it’s fun to get in a hot tub in the winter, right!!! Well, the hot tub wasn’t so hot. More like a luke warm bath. I think we should have spent another $ 25 and stayed at the Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn, both of which are across the street!

Stayed last weekend on our way from illinois to new mexico.
I booked it online a month ago, gave all my credit card information and «paid». When we arrived the lady told me my credit card was denied. I told her it was already paid and she informed me it had not been paid. So we had to repay it. O searched my credit card statement to find it had NOT been paid at booking, why did i have to give all my info ahead of time then? So we were now out that $$ on an already extremely tight vacation budget.
Got to the room and found blood and poo on the decrative cover on the bed (i work for a dry cleaners and can tell what a lot of stains are by the look).
My daughter then went to the pool which was absolutely freezin and the watwr was slimy and green. I made her get out and shower right Away…
As soon as she turned the shower off, the piece that you lift to turn the shower on broke into 4 peices. We called the desk and were told to deal with ourselves because we could not switch rooms AND there was no maintenace available. She offered to take $ 10 off our bill. My husband and i had to take sponge baths because there was no way to stop the drain in the bath tub either!
We didn’t even spend 12 hours here. Checked out at 5am. This was the absolute most horrid place we have ever stayed and i rarely spend more then $ 60 on a hotel room!

I am giving this 4 star Hotel a 5 star rating because of the price and the service! Sara the owner and GM checked us in, gave us a superb weekly rate and the staff was great! Summer and Melissa went out of there way to make the experience great. The rooms were clean, the amenities were all there and I must say I have stayed at Holiday Inns that were not this nice. They have a pool, Jacuzzi and fitness center along with a good breakfast. you can’t beat this place for the price! I will be back! Thanks for the wonderful service too!!!

Sheets were stained and had hair under the cover. It seems they just made the bed without washing the sheets. Also all the walls had mirrors, which seemed a bit odd…
