i had a few minutes between flights and after being in South America for a few weeks, I was craving something stupidly really American. Nathan’s to the rescue for something quick and easy, though overpriced. I just got a plain hot dog, but what I really love here are their fries. Nice and thick and meaty and served hot and fresh. Nothing out of this world, but just fine for me.

I went to get a breakfast sandwich at the Nathan’s in concourse D near gate d38. What a disaster. During the time I waiting in line and then waited for my order, the checkout clerk took 9 orders. All nine orders had errors. One guy ordered a sausage egg and cheese sandwich and received a chicken sandwich. Another got half her order. In my case the line person making the sandwiches forgot to make mine. I waited 18 minutes for a partially microwaved piece of english muffin, with one small piece of bacon and a rubber hockey puck of egg. AWFUL!!!

Pleasantly surprised. It’s about 6:15 am and I was hungry. Inside the airport. Inside a concourse. Airport concession time! I walked up and down concourse H. Everything was overpriced, no surprise, and there were plenty of options. I decided on Nathan’s because I’ve never tasted their breakfast sandwiches. The cashier, Jepheline, was patient with me as I took forever to decide. She welcomed me with a warm greeting and answered my questions. I decided on the sausage, egg and cheese muffin. She asked if I wanted the combo, which comes with coffee and a hash brown, but I was in the mood for just a sandwich. There were about 3 people in front of me. The grill was in sight so I saw my sandwich made to order and was ready in less than 5 minutes. The lady who handed me the sandwich, Marie, said with a smile«Thank you for coming. Come again. «I’m pleasantly surprised because I expected much less after reading a couple of the other reviews. But, this customer service was A+. For me, customer service is important. The sandwich itself was delicious. The muffin was toasted, the cheese melted, the sausage patty flavorful and all at the right temperature. More than half of travelers at airports are exhausted, bothered or crabby. Naturally, their reviews are going to have a negative slant. I, on the other hand, am a morning person who loves the feel of airports. It was a good breakfast experience. Yes, Marie, next time I’m inside Concourse H, I’ll come again.

Only go here if you are in the mood for giving away your money for nothing in return. Or as Sprint would put it, if you are stupid rich.

Taste like a regular hot dog to me. Nothing special, but it wasn’t the worst dogs I’ve had.
