Amazing food… amazing service and live music! Truly a hidden gem!!! A must visit in Miami. The chicken and waffles are to die for. The bolitas and papitas are also very yummy and the avocado tostones are out of this world! Highly recommend this restaurant!

We were looking for a new spot with different feel. We found it! The food and drinks here are full of flavor! We were seated at a table by the window. My only complaint is that it was very dark in that corner. We had to use the flashlight on the phone to see the menu and see what the food looked like! I started off with«The Good Note» drink. It’s a guava based cocktail and so delicious! We ordered a few apps to begin with. Las Bolitas are these little cheesy balls(Gouda, Fontina, Goat and Sharp Cheddar) that came with a wine dipping sauce. A must try! The Ceviche was also very tasty and fresh but the portion was a bit small. Tostones con avocado had a nice little kick to it. I definitely recommend those! PB&J fried chicken was good too. I think the waitress said it was peanut butter fried chicken, grape jelly and Madura waffle. Very different than your typical fried chicken and waffles. The place is a little pricey for the portion size but the flavors are on point!

My compliments to the owner and chef, to the owner for the concept, décor and general atmosphere, to the chef for the great food, and creating tastes that are outside anything typical. Bottom line highly recommend a must try, you won’t be disappointed, finally something new and different! Congrats to Neme

The tostones, cheese balls and the burger were really good, but the dessert is only for peanut lovers. Too much peanut. Did not like it.

I also heard about Neme in Unilocal’s Hot New Business section and had been planning to check it out for a minute. However I didn’t get the chance until a surprise call from an college friend who was in town. I broke my hibernation weekend to go catch up(All About the U!) and we had a great evening. Located off Coral Way near Vizcaya in what at one point was a divey bar and then a cigar lounge, Neme brings the space full circle with gastrobar type bites, smooth cocktails and live music. The space pays homage to its heritage by decorating the storage attic with cigar boxes. There’s also a nice little mezzanine with a spiral stair in the front, as well as outside tables. Our group was fortunate to have a table near the stage and though we arrived around 830, we weren’t rushed out and allowed to enjoy our meal until the«Nikki Kidd Band» started at 11.(The owner, Neme, said they have different live local bands Wednesday thru Saturday). Yes, the owner went by the tables and chatted with all of the patrons. Besides the puffed rice and coffee rub Vegan Chicharrones(creative!) we sampled three dishes. One of my favorites were the Tataki Havanero(wagyu steak served room temperature with spicy vegetables). I describe it as a Steak ceviche. We also loved the PBJ Chicken & Waffles(based on reading the menu online, this I was looking forward to most.) Neme’s take on chicken and Waffles also includes a sweet«peanut butter jelly»(90s kids like our group will get it). The sweet and spicy of these two dishes balanced each other nicely. Chef Aleric did a great job putting the kitchen together, along with collaborating with the band. We also ordered the Tostones with Avocado, Avocado isn’t one of my favorite foods, but it was still tasty. The guacamole was a touch spicy and tostones crispy. We closed out with a crispy millefoile and some espresso. My friends enjoyed it, and I plan to be back. They told me it reminded of the jazz clubs in NY and DC, and I know we’ve had a lack of jazz spots since the famous one on the beach closed. It’s great to have a «grown and sexy» spot in town!

Thanks to Unilocal I found this place which is in the corner of my house. The reviews make me just go and try it out, the place didn’t disappoint me. The atmosphere, jazz band, drinks and a couple of appetizer that I tried were amazing. If you want to try something different with excellent customer service this is the place! I highly recommend it

I had seen this place being opened next to Doggis and couldn’t wait to try it out! We went one Friday night at around 10:30. We did have to have a few minutes because the place was quite full. They have live Jazz on Fridays and Saturdays which is great! The owner greeted us and was very attentive. But it was so full that everyone was running around. Our waiter was very nice but he kept coming back to ask usto repeat what we had ordered because he had forgotten. The owner gave us two drinks of our choice due to the wait, which was awesome though! Very nice of him. The menu though is quite limited, and it was very different. The food options are very different. For example, we had the Vegan chicharron, the PBJ friend chicken(Like chicken and waffles, but chocolate waffles with PB) and I also had the pork belly. I’m not sure if it was the mix of items all together that I didn’t like. I think it was a little too much on the experimental side. Not exactly my cup of tea. The drinks though, were delicious. My favorite was called«The Note». It has guava which made it incredibly amazing. I would go just for drinks and music next time. It has a nice vibe. I do think they need to put speakers towards the entrance of the restaurant where we were sitting because we couldn’t hear too well what the person was singing. I know they just opened and they’re still getting everything together, but I definitely would like to go back just for drinks with some friends. It’s a great late night place to go to.

I’m a sucker for a good gastro bar and when a coworker suggested we grab drinks after work on a Friday at a location within walking distance I was ALLIN. And I couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice. We sat at the bar for 4 hours happily chatting, drinking and eating away. The place really started to fill up as the night went on. They have quite a few regulars for a place that has been open for only six weeks. The signature cocktails were unusual and refreshing. The kitchen didn’t open until 6 pm but our waiter /bartender had the chef whip us up some dip which was kind of like potato salad with bacon… Which sounds weird but tasted awesome. Later on to eat we had: –the bolita(fried cheese balls) with red wine sauce. AMAZING –papito. Don’t ask questions. Just order it. You will find yourself licking the bowl. It was outstanding. –tostones with avocado. This was our least favorite but it was still very good. It was basically guacamole in a plantain chip bowl. You MUST check this place out! Great service. Amazing ambience. Reasonably priced. Fantastic food. What more could you want?

Came here on a whim late one Saturday night and I was wildly impressed! Sat at the bar and was take care of by Santino who was very cordial & friendly! Live music was performed by true, professional musicians. In regard to the menu — do not be put off by the flavor combinations simply reading the menu. Take the plunge. Trust me. They really work! Santino brought us an amuse bouche from the kitchen — the Vegan Chicharron(«Puffed Rice, Spice coffee rub, cilantro and lime). We dove right into it! It literally melts in your mouth. We ordered the ceviche(do NOT be turned off by the strawberry in it — it’s very light, fresh and flavorful) and the Papito(Potato Skins. Cheese Fondue. Fried Egg. Chorizo. Pickled Chard) which was heaven in a bowl. The egg was cooked to perfection; the flavors all together were glorious. My husband and I were literally fighting each other for the last bite. We shared the PB&J chicken«Peanut butter fried chicken, grape jelly, MADURO waffle maple-aji, which was very good! Flavorful and moist. We look forward to going back to try other things off the menu and listen to some really great live music. Valet parking is available, if not — you can try to score some street parking. Love the fact that it’s in the Roads area — sandwiched between Brickell and Gables. We are definitely fans of Neme’s!

WOW! What a place. I have to say that Neme Gastro Bar has arrived as one of the top FOODIE destinations in Miami. Located in the quaint neighborhood of Brickell Roads towards the end of Coral Way, this hidden gem is a perfect getaway from the normal mediocre food and service expected in Miami. The service quick, genuine and proper. Our server explained the specials, suggested nice cocktails and made us feel welcome upon arriving. The layout of the restaurant is unique in that it takes you back in time. The far wall is decorated with cigar boxes reminiscing a old-Miami Cuban vibe similar to calle Ocho. The food is part-Miami with burst of flavors infused to create a menu unlike any other. The food is crafted by a Chef that can been seen the entire time mixing and mashing from the open kitchen in front of diners. I will not explain each dish, you will just have to go yourself but I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

I had driven past this place a couple times and wanted to check it out. I finally went with a couple of friends and was pleasantly surprised. When I first looked at the menu, I got a little worried. I couldn’t imagine some of the combinations described, like the PB&J fried chicken with Maduro waffles, but I’m so happy I ordered it! It was amazing! Now I can’t imagine eating chicken & waffles any other way! We also tried the bolitas which were perfectly fried cheese balls-LOVED IT. After those 2 successful dishes we ordered the ceviche and the papito. The ceviche was refreshing and had a platano purée garnish that added a wonderful flavor. It was a nice contrast to the richness of the papito bowl. I mean, how can you go wrong with potatoes, chorizo, & cheese!!! To top it off, The ambience and live jazz were perfect while the cocktails and service were impeccable. It’s not often that you find such great service in Miami. I liked that the owner came around and greeted everyone, although I couldn’t get any words out as I was enjoying the food so much! There are very few places that I’ll wake up the next day still thinking about the food from the night before, but Neme is one of them! I can’t wait to go back!

Cigar factory turned Gastropub with fantastic cocktails, great beer selection and friendly, accommodating staff. Stopped in for drinks and found that the Monkeying Around and the Old Fashioned cocktails were absolutely perfect for the whiskey drinker in me. Will definitely return to sample the food and experience the live jazz.

Awesome place in the roads in a cool location. The bartenders are great and welcomed us in from day one. The drinks are great and creative, as is the food. The music is chill as well, though to be honest I only have caught the front end of it. Definitely worth checking out, though it’s not too big so I’m kind of hoping it stays pretty local and I can always get a seat.

After reading Cassie G’s pick of the month featuring Peanut butter fried chicken with grape jelly, maduro walffle, and maple-aji my interest was definitely peaked and I quickly bookmarked. This new gastro bar has a great vibe and a compilation of great jazz music. All of the dishes offered are unique and creative. The vegan chicharron is offered as a complimentary dish for starters. The chicharron is sprinkled with a spiced coffee rub, cilantro and lime. Wow, the chicharron melts in your mouth and the spice combination is unique. Dishes ordered: Tostones con Avocado: I almost didn’t want to order since this dish is offered in so many other places, but I am glad I ordered. The texture of the plantain was perfect, crunchy on the outside and soft in the center. The avocado had a great combination of flavors, citrus and cilantro, just perfect. Belly L.T. Featured Pork Belly from Miami Smokers served on top of greens, grainy mustard, rock shrimp and croutons. Also very good PB& J A version of chicken and waffles both sweet and savory. This dish is very creative, the chicken was moist and the waffles had a very unique savory taste. All of the components of the dish held it’s own. Even though I loved this dish I couldn’t taste the peanut butter and the jelly tasted more like tamarind than grape jelly. That being said the dish is still phenomenal. Peanut Butter Ice Cream with Maduros: I can definitely taste the peanut butter in the ice cream. The combination of the saltiness of the peanut butter and the sweetness of the maduros worked. There was a subtle syrup, but I am not sure what is was. I also liked this dish. The unique and creative dishes served at Neme Gastro Bar, combined with the nice décor, ambiance and great jazz music is deserving of a five star experience. Can’t wait to come back to try the other dishes offered.

We passed by this place on the way home one night and made a note to come back to try it out so we did. The vintage décor and ambiance was very pleasant. Our bartender, James was very friendly and accommodating. We tried a few delicious drinks by the bar. I told James I do not like sweet drinks and he made me a Boulevardier with whiskey and Campari. It was so delicious it is my new favorite drink. Thank you James! Food was delicious. We tried the tostones stuffed with avocado and the steak dish. Both were well prepared and enjoyable. Steak was juicy and tostones were crispy but not dry and seasoned. I heard from other customers by the bar that they loved the deviled eggs so I will try those next time. The owner, Nemesio, was also very attentive and friendly. He was greeting customers and paying attention to detail. We were informed that they have live jazz later on during that Saturday evening. Unfortunately, we were unable to stay but will definitely come back for jazz. I believe they play on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays… The restaurant is small so I will recommend to call ahead if you have a big party for dinner. This cozy gastrobar with live music is a great addition to coral way. We actually do not have anything like Neme in Brickell and fortunately it is only a short drive away. I can see myself becoming a regular.

An improptu stop at this new gastro bar on my way home from a night out at the Mandarin Oriental culminated my evening with even more joy. Upon entering Neme’s I was greeted by a beautiful and bubbly hostess. Shortly thereafter, she introduced me to the proprietor Nemesio, who shared this had been an idea for a long time that came to be just a mere 3 weeks ago. Chatted for a bit and was courteously served by yet another pleasant and amicable bartender. As I sipped my prosecco, admired the lovely speakeasy and the jazz trio started to play I was transported to a happy place. Needless to say I was just off a new years cruise and in celebration mode. I predict your dream will be a hit Nemesio and wish you only the best. As my former boss would say, «be careful what you wish for». Will difinately be back and bring my friends too…

I been driving by what looks to be a really cool looking joint on 13th& Coral Way for the last two days trying to convince myself to check it out. Walk in and meet the very friendly bartender Santino to recommend the«Mad Hatter» but with Scotch in substitute of Gin. Hooks me up with the Vegan Chicharron«Puffed Rice, Spice coffee rub, cilantro and lime. Also ordered a PB&J chicken«Peanut butter fried chicken, grape jelly, MADURO waffle maple-aji. Very tasty full of flavor to go down with the recommended beer«Unholy» def recommended. They also hooked me up with Beet Ice Cream«whipped avocado, ginger nori shatter sesame and sweet wasabi drizzle. Really different and tasty. I give this place a 5 star because everything was great and very creative in menu. Def recommend.
