Being Caribbean, this is place GENIUS! It’s literally Caribbean fast food. And you’d think the taste would be compromised, but it is not. I mean it’s not my mom, or my grandmothers cooking, but it’s still RIGHT! I LOVEEEE the fact that they have guava all over their menu, because guess who is obsessed with guava on a daily basis anyway? you guessed it! ME! I had the chipotle chicken sandwich, and dunked it in the guava bbq sauce. Delicious. I also had a plethora of the guava bars, and guava cheesecake. PERFECT!

First of all they are rude! Second the best place to get the Latin food from Pollo Tropical is in Little Havana! I purchased a half chicken dinner meal and blood was coming out of the chicken. yuk! They won’t ever have go to any of there restaurants and will be telling all my friends!

This is the second time that I get a rock look a like object inside my food in a matter of 4 days. It is very disturbing to eat and it grosses me out. I will not be coming to this pollo tropical ever again. They seriously need to clean those grills and the fryers.

First time eating Jamaican food. Everything is so plain without their sauces. Only saving graces are their orange sauce and maybe their garlic sauce. It’s also not very filling for 6 – 7 dollars.

Poll tropical has good food, but it’s a franchised restaurant so don’t expect anything out of this world. The food and the service are always consistant, so I like that. I eat here when I don’t have time to make dinner at home.

cheap real food to go. Easy way to sum up pollo tropical. You are in and out that is what i like and the price is much cheaper than a sit down restaurant. Plus much healthier than typical fast– food joints. Good place to grab dinner when you don’t feel like cooking.

I am a regular here. With Pollo Tropical close by, I do not waste my time cooking chicken. Everything I order here is always fresh and hot. I find the order takers do not pay close attention to what I say, so I have to always repeat myself. The first thing I said to my order taker was«this order is for here». She was so busy talking to her co workers that the first thing she asked me was«is this order for here or to go»? HELLO? I don’t think the cashiers(order takers) should handle money then handle food orders without changing their gloves first. THEFOODHEREISVERYGOOD, BUTTHECASHIERSSEEMTOBEHALFASLEEP.

Normally, the RUDE drive through service would cause me to lower my rating drastically. But in this case, I’m going to give the same guy that served us last year, who was even ruder to us this year the benefit of the doubt. The food was still tasty, but the rudeness was damn near comical so I’ll let them keep the blasted for 4 stars! Thanks for the laughs Rude Bwoy! ;-) Us: Um, do you have the yellow rice without the veggies? Rude Bwoy: No. Us(car full of my fam): Ok, then can I have a Tropi Chop bowl with white rice and black beans? Rude Bwoy: Side and drink? Us: Pardon? Rude Bwoy: WHAT’S YOURSIDEANDWHAT’S YOURDRINK?! Us: Oh, balsamic tomatoes and a sprite. Can I also get another bowl with veggies… Rude Bwoy: Side and drink? Us(bewildered by the sassiness): Fruit Punch and corn. Rude Bwoy: Is that it? Us: No, can we please get a guava cheesecake? Rude Bwoy: Is that it? Us: NO! Can we also get a side of mac ‘n cheese and a caesar salad? Rude Bwoy: We don’t have mac ‘n cheese no more. Is that all? Us: I guess so! Rude Bwoy: Drive to the window. Rude Bwoy(as we arrive at the window): Ahh man, you again?! Y’all need to come inside next time for such a complicated order. You takin too long. Us: Well we needed to decide what we wanted to a bunch of people. Rude Bwoy: You want any sauces? Us: Yes please, garlic ranch and curry mustard. Rude Bwoy(hands us a huge bag with about 20 little cups of sauce…2/3 of them were garlic ranch): Here. Us(handing the bag back): Can you trade out about half the garlic ranch for some more curry mustard? Rude Bwoy: Look I’ll tell you what. How ’bout I give you these 3 and you go home? Moral of the story, don’t expect the friendliest of service, know what you want or go inside, and have the simplest order possible!

It is a shame how many times this location has ran out of chicken. More than once is a shame. Really, it was they didn’t have any ready when I got there. Your restaurant has the name CHICKEN in it. You, by definition, should have chicken always available for sale. How they prepare it is hit and miss. Sometimes good, sometimes really dry. The service is pretty good for fast food, and exceptional for the area.

They really have it together at this Pollo Tropical. The music’s loud, the service is great — they dance to their job and they should be cloned and plucked into some of the other Pollos! Food was great too, the fresh is what makes it famous!

Miami stop on my chicken quest. It’s 10 pm. We just took a spin class. It’s hot, humid, and we are HUNGRY. My chicken companion and I need our fix. We hit the Pollo Tropical on Hallandale Beach Blvd. We pull up through the drive thru, sweaty, and did I mention — ravenous?(No, we were so famished we didn’t take the time to shower, but who the eff cares? It’s Miami — everyone is sticky and gross) We order a family meal. We hear a muffled voice through the box. It sounds like she said they are out of chicken?! No way! We roll up to the window. The woman, hanging out the window, looks at us and says pointedly«We ain’t got NOOO chicken.» We crack up. How can a chicken place not have any chicken? She continues. «We were slow today. You can try the one on Ives Dairy» Luckily, I know my way around. We peel out, cursing the«no chicken lady» and laughing hysterically at the same time. We WILL have chicken tonight. We arrive, speeding the entire way there, praying for chicken. Oh hell. It looks closed. We see someone pull into the drive thru. Is it? Is it? It’s OPEN! YES! Chicken TO-night! We order, the lovely lady bearing all things chicken hands us our order and we rush home. My partner in chicken consumption can’t wait and orders me to hand him a leg. I comply. The glint of hunger in his eyes was scaring me. We get home and, quite literally, tear into our meal. Chicken, beans, yellow rice, corn, bread — nothing is safe from our forks of fury. It was one of the best meals I’d ever eaten. At the time. It still pales in comparison to the chicken joints in good ol’ LA. But it was decent and filled our bellies. Three stars for this location for the sheer fact that they actually HAD chicken. And they gave it to us quickly.
