Great pub, like traditional ones, great and cold beer and good ambience. A gem in downtown miami

Very friendly and funny bartenders. They made you relax and smile all the time. We can enjoy food, drink and play a pool table for a whole night. Nice gem local classic bar where we can relax after a tired week of working and stressful

The bartenders rock. You can’t get better service anywhere else in Downtown. But don’t show up unless you know your punk & alternative music as that is what we like to play on the jukebox.

When my friend and I first walked in, we were a little skeptic. It was dark and the crowd seemed a little off at first and the cigarette smell was a little overwhelming. When we first got our beers, we were thinking, after this beer, we’re leaving, but that was not the case. It was karaōke night and a regular attacked us and demanded that we sing. After some convincing we finally agreed and honestly, it couldn’t have been a better first night in town. The bartenders Carolina and Summer were great! They are so friendly and nice and they can sing too! We for sure did not stay for one beer. A few beers, shots and songs later, we ended up staying till closing time. If my friend didn’t have such a bad hangover, we definitely would have came back again before we left! But I will definitely come back next time I’m in town!

Found out about Pub One by way of some friends and a Miami New Times event. So we went and were very surprised yet again and what a cool, hip spot that exists in downtown Miami. This is not the 90s anymore, downtown has some neat spots and Pub One sure is in that category. The most friendly staff I had seen for a bar atmosphere in a long time and even the manager or owner was having a great time shouting out to all of us for more. Spacious once you get inside you will find a seat and not want to leave.

Happy hour 4 – 7 with half off drinks and beers. Friendly and knowledgable staff. Good environment with the right people to relax after a day off work and have a cheap drink. Relax until the owner/manager walked in. Uncomfortable how mean and rude she is to her employees. Literally killed my vibe to the point that I had to share it. Yelling at them with hand gestures and hands in their face. Making them clean an already intact place. Gave her the benefit of the doubt being my first time here and not knowing past circumstances with her and her employees, but she continued by giving my boyfriend a very ugly attitude when he tried making small talk. Would only return if I know she’s not here.

There was a time when I hated Miami. I was over the club life & wanted cool, local bars I could hang out at here that resembled the amazing ones I went to in Atlanta in college. Nothing. Then came Wynwood… I swear, I was the first to jump into Wood Tavern. It’s still one of my favorite places. Downtown was like South Beach. Nothing cool down there except for maybe Space and ok… E11even. But you have to be in a real party mood to go out to that shit. That’s me in rare form these days. I’m too lazy now. Then I happened upon Pub One. I can’t even tell you how in love I am with this place. It’s dive bar-ish, yeah. It’s easy to use labels, but it’s so much more than that. It really is a local bar where there’s nothing fancy; it’s just a great place to go for drinks. One of the owners, Robert, is as cool as it gets. He parks his motorcycle in the joint. No fucks given. My kinda guy. And people — patrons, bartenders — are FRIENDLY. Hear that Miami? People are nice. And drinks aren’t expensive. What a hidden gem. My boyfriend went one night only because I dragged him there but now, he’s wanting to go all the time. This is our new, local hangout. I’m a loyal Pub-Oner now. Part of me wishes the regulars could keep it all to themselves but hey, I hope their popularity soars. The owners are do down-to-Earth & they deserve it more than anything. A rare find in this city.

This place is amazing. I went once at the request of a friend and Ivy made me feel like she’s known me forever. Stop by and hang out with her, she is awesome enough to have me become a regular.

This place is the worst. Which makes it the best. If you haven’t been then you will not understand until you go.

Pretty solid place, reasonably priced beers with a decent selection of drafts for a «Dive.» friendly folks at the bar as well as friendly bartenders. It is sort of divey but I have certainly seen worse before. As a non-smoker I was a little disappointed with the fact smoking was allowed but then again it is a bar. So I should stop my whining. I will come back here next time I’m in Miami!

This place is definitely a breath of fresh air when it comes to bars in Downtown. It’s grimey, smells of cigarettes, and there’s always great music playing from the jukebox. I went there with some co workers last week and there was an old guy playing awesome guitar solos and singing… Random, right? Anyway, the bartenders are super friendly and the characters that walk in are interesting to watch. It’s such a comfortable and laid back vibe. One thing that surprised me is that the bathroom is actually pretty clean, especially for a dive bar. I’ll probably keep coming to Pub One for a while.

Pub One was one of the reasons I decided to move Downtown. Rash? Perhaps. But, I’d been living in South Beach and was beyond in need of a change. Pub One was different enough from where I was that I liked it probably more than I should. More than I should? Yeah. Downtown Miami has a pretty sad homeless situation. Not only are there ‘no peddling’ zones where the homeless are harassed by police simply for existing but they have fewer and fewer places in which to live/try and get better/bathe, etc. While all the while, they’re surrounded by a ridiculous amount of excess.* All this is to say, lining NE1 St are many men and women who have no where else to go. They sleep, eat, use the bathroom, etc. within sight and smell of Pub One. Yes, it’s not an ideal situation but it is what it unfortunately is. And, yes, despite this preamble 1.) I like this place; and 2.) I liked it more than South Beach. So… know these things and employ them as a caveat to this review. Pub One is what it is: a dive bar, surrounded by high rises full of people pretending to have money and the blighted. But no matter the time of day or night, the blackened windows ensure that you concentrate on one thing while you’re there: drinking. But here’s the real twist: despite its dive bar ways and location, the bar is pretty damn clean. The grime and grit associated with dive bars aren’t really a thing here. What is a thing:(relatively) cheap bottles of beer, a jukebox complete with the Doobie Brothers(love me some Black Water), and cool-a$$ bartenders who will do shots with you, talk isht, joke around, and make sure that the familiar Miami ‘tude stays on the outside. Pub One provides a welcome respite to the foolishness that Miami life can bring. Take a break. *It’s all smoke & mirrors.

Was visiting my friends in miami. I came all the way from Canada and was told that thursday was karaōke. I was sold and am so glad I was told about this place. The karaōke was well run and it so happened to be one of the bartenders birthday. The whole place felt like like it was a laugh track from being a new age Cheers series. Would absolutely go again. Another friend just got pulled into the regular crowd after that night.

Pretty much the archetypical hole in the wall, grungy, lung incapacitating, smoke filled, manner lacking, courtesy devoid, mixed drink menu lacking, no special orders, no food, not your way this isn’t Burger King, shady people, dive bar. 2 of the comrades in our group of 6 asked for a margarita, she stared into their souls with a medusa-like gaze and without hesitation said. «I don’t make mixed drinks». Exactly what dive bar should be. Would go again.

Service is terrible. In for a couple of nights and read the reviews so decided to go. Great at first for one beer then shift change to two girls. Couldn’t get a beer to save my life. They walked by every time. Won’t be gong back.

Smoke em if you got em!!! I LOVE Pub One! Finally a dive bar that lets everyone smoke… at the same time… INSIDE! Now we’re talkin! My boys and I were there Friday night for happy hour and to shoot pool. My friend Manny showed up with 3 fine ass females from his work but they immediately left when the hottest girl in the group caught an asthma attack. The chubby one was going to hang but said she would have needed to go back to her crib and shower off the smoke from her pores and hair before going to s. beach later and she didn’t want to deal with that. They probably would have been out place anyway since there were only 2 chicks inside the bar and both were skanks. More pool time for me, non-smoking bitches!

I was«dragged» by Rony and Wine Goddess(ok I went VERY willingly :) to Pub One after last nights Elite event and have to say Pub One is what a bar should look like: pool table, cool tunes, a fun crowd and plenty of TVs to cheer your home team on. Although I lost, I enjoyed my epic pool battle with Arwen L and some disco dancing. Oh, and they have a very clean bathroom. I’m very glad I came along!

All in a good mood after the Elite event, we quickly invaded this spot just in time to catch the last minute and a half of the Heat game, which put us in an even better mood. I like it. It’s a big, spacious, simple bar. I was going to give 4 stars, but it’s really 3.5 — and considering some of the other bars to which I’ve given 4, I can’t go that high here. It wasn’t that the beer selection was terrible — they did have a couple nice choices on the menu, but as I went down the list with the bartender, none of them were in stock. It’s kind of annoying to order at a bar and get down to your 4th menu choice before you hit upon something they actually have. Clearly, there’s a demand for the good stuff, so why not call the distributor and get some? Cool place to chill, though, a real bar smack in the middle of Downtown… wow, never thought I’d see the day. Judging from everyone’s reactions, this will likely turn out to be *the* after-party location for any future downtown Unilocal events. Get those inventory management issues squared away, and I’ll probably be inclined to throw an extra star this way.

This was where us crazy Unilocaler’s went to after our amazing Elite event. They had no idea what hit them when we all came walking in. They handled our group very well, super friendly bartenders, a juke box, a pool table, an awesome local dive bar. Wait, I just saw they have $ 5 margaritas everyday, heck I could have continued drinking them last night. We were all having so much fun as we took over the whole pub. This place is chill, nice sized bar, an awesome hangout in downtown. Happy Hour 4 – 7 pm, oh yes I will be back, great location that is very convenient. We were all taken care of efficiently with great service. Kudos to the two bartender’s last night, you did a great job. The prices are very reasonable, non pretentious cool local pub. See you soon, and again thank you for taking such great care of us!
