Raspaos

Ordered a steak kabob with salad and potatoes. My mom ordered the steak kabob with double salad. Well first– we sat down at the only table available, it was empty too. No salt no napkins no anything. They should be prepared. So we got the small a** salad and i asked for ranch. The girl didnt even know what that was. And i told her in spanish and she said they dont carry that… How are you a restaurant that serves salad without dressings. So i had to settle for vinegar and olive oil. Yuck. She brought empty bottles. We had to ask for things like five times. The drinking water tasted oily and had pieces of something floating. So with the food, they brought my kabob half steak half chicken. And my moms was all chicken. Wrong order. We noticed after we ate from it because it was cooked to a dark color from the sauce. It was bland and had no flavor whatsoever. The salad was a joke. Plain lettuce leaves and tomato. The leaves werent even separated corectly from the stalk. Just tossed in a bowl. No croutons. No parm cheese… Nothing. The potatoes were so dry aswell. I tried to soak up some meat juice but nothing. I didnt like anything except the service. The girl was really nice. Idk how much the price came out to as i did not pay– but if i ever come here again i would definitely order something else.

After lime we decided to go into this place for some coffee, being that it’s Hispanic and they had a legit looking espresso coffee machine. So we approached the counter and proceeded to ask the clerk for a «colada» the clerk says to us «for all four of you?» We thought this was an odd question being that normally ANYWHERE else you go it’s understood that a colada is to be shared. We dismissed the question and proceeded to pay cause I mean who doesn’t know in south Florida what a colada is.
Can you guess who doesn’t? No one who works at raspao!
So this lady gives us one large American coffee and some sugar telling us «people normally put sugar in it!» We couldn’t believe what was happening not just that but the attitude that she then had with us when SHE was the one who clearly had no idea what we had asked for. Needless to say we were upset because if she had better customer service skills and maybe some logic the whole scenario could’ve been avoided. It seems to me this small business needs better management because if I had such a bad experience just buying a coffee from them I can’t imagine for a full sit down meal!
Never again! I’m glad we didn’t spend more then $ 1.50 here because even that was too much!

Service is horrible! The girl who works the register has no social skills. You really need to work on your attitude and customer service skills.

It has good and not so good plates.
Today, I ordered Pincho de Carne (steak skewer), and it was not so good. The yellow potatoes (papas criollas) were too dry.
The good ones: Jugo de Mamey (with milk). Their juices are 24 oz. and they have always been delicious.
My husband ordered Lomo Salteado and really liked it.
I’m seeing some reviews about the service, and I might have been lucky, because there is a young guy that has served us the last two times and he is very polite. Although, there is a lady (I don’t know her name, but she is not so young), and she has a very discouraging attitude. Today she was the only one near by when we were leaving. We said good bye, thank you, and she didn’t answer at all.
Customer Service is always very important.

Been to this place a few times and the food is delicious! I’ve tried their hot dogs, burgers, salchipapas, cholaos, fruit juices! I love it! The service is not the greatest but the food sure makes up for it! Will continue to be a patron here so long as their food continues to be great! The ambience and music is awesome too! It almost makes me feel like Im at home back in Colombia!

Service SUCKS! People there do not know how to be courteous, they have no desire to treat people right, even when you ask for a minimal thing you get an attitude. I’ve been there several times and this time is for sure the last time I’m gonna ordered. I ordered my food for delivery it’s been an hour and 30 minutes and I’m still waiting for my food to get to my job which is less that a mile away. From the girl that took the order to the delivery driver they are lost and simply do not care about it. Never. Never come to this restaurant again.

Horrible service. We were the only customers in the whole restaurant and they treated as if we were bothering them.

I understand why they were empty. I created an account just to let people know how terrible the service is at this place. It was dirty, the bandeja paisa was the worst I’ve had in my life. I ate here a few years ago and it was a different experience. The food was good and the place was clean. Oh how times have changes. Most importantly, the service was unacceptable. I wont be surprised if this place goes out business soon.

I’m surprised this place has quite a few bad reviews — I’ve always liked it here! Food is delicious, prices are great, and the service is helpful! I guess the service could be a little faster, but it’s still good. Definitely worth a try :)

Food was delicious. Didn’t like the raspao too much but no biggie, food made up for it!

Forget about the bad service (super super bad) I can deal with that but the food was 1000xsuper bad I asked for my check and they brought me food that I had order and they told me they didn’t have??? And the cashier told me she had to charge me because at some point I had order!!! OMG don’t even bother

They have pretty decent food, including a platano maduro rellano con queso… AH-​MAZING, And they serve their jugos in a huge pitcher. However the service here is SO SLOW and SO INATTENTIVE! It’s like server purposely ignores you. Next time, i’ll just take out.

Guess whose baaaaack? «Happiness!» The server I quoted in my previous review of Raspaos and she is as friendly as ever! No smiles, no thank you’s, no have a nice day and frankly I dont got time for that! She stares at you with the dumb look as if you’ve interrupted her day and when you show kind gestures they’re not acknowledged.
This was my experience today with Happiness. After eating my arepa and pineapple juice, I decided to bring over my items to the counter when paying so she would not have to go around and clean up after me… i got zero reaction. I had joked with a fellow Unilocaler about her attitude so we purposely said things like «thank you» and «have a nice day» we got no response. I remember thinking once it may be personal but I noticed her interaction was the same with everyone leading me to believe that i’m not that special…
I enjoy the food here no doubt but with service like that, she leaves me with little desire to return. Raspaos loses 2 stars for bringing back Happiness!

Ordered three Bandejas Paisas to go. To my surprise, when we got home and opened up the trays, we almost fell back! The meat was smaller than a business size card! The portions were extremely small and the food was HORRIBLE!!! Will never ever ever order food from this restaurant! How could this place still be in business???

Awesome place. The people are sweet and helpful. If you want a really good fruit shake or smoothie this place is perfect. My favorite is also the stuff arepas ! If your in the area you should definitely stop buy and have a shake and an arepa.

I love the juices, they’re big enough for 2 people! Food is pretty good, and very inexpensive. Haven’t tried the ice creams, but I will soon.

Was there for a quick bite and to celebrate my bday with some friends, such bad service, it was a great disappointment, they took forever to get our order and for ever to bring it, manager came out and did nothing only said we were focusing on the past and couldn’t do anything about it but offered no solution, very bad experience won’t be going back.

Is there zero stars for service? But if you complain the manager will disappoint you too. Never again. This restaurant is always slow on the service, but today was horrible. 45 minutes to take my order. Then the order was incomplete because «they had to take care of another order» The manager just made up excuses and never gave any service resolution. Save yourself the aggravation and go elsewhere. Too bad I will miss their desserts,

Great for Colombian fast food and desserts. Not a lot of variety of dishes for main course. Tried the sancocho, and it was very yummy!
Their desserts are awesome! Had a raspao and it was just delicious! Immediately brought be back to Cali, (Colombia) on a nice breezy Sunday afternoon. Interesting setup, laid back and relaxed.
Service was friendly and curteous.

One of my fav places in Miami Lakes. The food is healthy and good — if you know what to order. The burger is one of the best. The fruit juices are amazing. The Raspao is amazing — definitely worth a drive from anywhere. I have friends that drive from Broward just for the food, juices and «hot Latinas»
Try the desserts and leave a nice tip. Everything is fresh !
