RACE AGAINST BREAST CANCER
I happened to walk by this cute and very long pink dragon boat at the Miami Chinese New Year Festival and standing next to this boat was this beautiful smiling lady dressed in pink who happened to be a cancer survivor. She is a member of SAVE OUR SISTERS [501 © (3) Non-​Profit Organization] «a team of breast cancer survivors dedicated to promoting breast health awareness through Dragon Boating and community service,»
In part SOS is dedicated to educating the public about breast health awareness in a positive and proactive way as role models, mentors, assisting in providing breast cancer screening and treatment to under privileged women of Miami, plus raising funds for cancer affiliated women’s services.
On this day during the 26^th Annual Chinese New Year Festival, the Chinese Cultural Foundation, Inc honored these brave survivors of cancer by having them center stage before an emtionalaudience of thousands and to make a donation to their race against cancer. I applauded with tears and a smile.
