I loved my bridal shower cake. This has been by far the best rum cake I have ever had, from the décor to the taste it was amazing! Best Cakes in Miami :) I am for sure ordering from here again.

I’ve been calling and emailing back and forth trying I finalize a cake and give a deposit. It’s been ongoing for almost a month. I work and have not been able to drop in… wanted to finalize everything over the phone, but no one has been responsive. I dropped in today to place the order because I was told to come in person, and I have to say every single person I dealt with at this bakery was negative, rude, and unhelpful. They didn’t acknowledge the lack of communication in the least and were very defensive… After driving out there and bejng so poorly received I would not order from them anyway. As for how the cake tastes, I’ll never know.

We loved our birthday cake and cupcakes. All our guests raved about the goodies and even took some home. We will definitely use them again. Delivery driver was on time and very nice.

Worst delivery driver ever. Driving like a maniac around a car accident, cutting off other drivers, driving on the wrong side of the road, and endangered the emergency workers on the side of the road. That kind of lack of respect can not be tolerated. Guy is driving a company truck and this is how he chooses to represent them.

Simply cakes was recommended by a friend of mine almost 2 years ago and now I am a loyal customer. Every time there is an event I just call and order a cake. Besides the beautiful presentation and theme cakes, they are absolutely delicious. They are moist and very fresh. Reasonably priced and the staff is always very helpful. Highly recommened from the foodies in Coral Gables!

My favorite cupcake place!!! The cupcakes are soft and moist and very fresh! Takes a lil while since they are made to order. Everytime we have gone, it has been a very good experience! They are all sooo good, I don’t have a favorite!

When ever I am by my parents house and have a sweet tooth, I head on over to this place. They make their cupcakes fresh and have wonderful flavors. They are tasty but I think a little over priced. The staff is friendly but can be a little slow. I did have an event where I ordered from them and they did a good job. Tasty and they looked good.

My dad brought a box of cupcakes as a surprise for me. It contained 12 cupcakes and they looked good but I realized how small it looked. The icing tasted artificial and the pastry seemed kind of dry. Not something that I liked.
But what took me by surprise was the price! I ask my dad how much did he purchase the cupcakes. He then tells me that it cost him $ 12 dollars. $ 12 dollars on cupcakes? That’s a dollar each! What a rip off and they said they’re the best in Miami. Yeah right!
The flavor was nothing special, the size is too small for an average cupcake size and the price is ridiculous. Not worth coming to or buying.

Marissa and Mabel are beyond sweet! They are helpful and definitely not out to «take your money». This is the second cake order I have placed with them. I was looking for a baby shower cake for 50 people but did not want to break the bank. When they quoted the price, I shared that this was outside of the party budget. Marissa suggested I make the center cake for 30 people, which is still large and could include the décor we wanted and make a sheet cake for 20 people with no elaborate decoration to cut in the kitchen. The flavors here are delicious — I usually go for plain vanilla cake, buttercream frosting and dulce de leche filling. Their dulce de leche is homemade and absolutely exquisite! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a cake!

I went to this place based on positive reviews and referrals. Amazing customer service, I heard so I went with high hopes. But, today, they decided to break their good customer service record and chose me for it. I wanted a simple cake for 25 guests that was to be for my husband and dad’s birthday. To make a distinction b/​t the two men, I asked if she can keep the same color buttercream cake, but just the piping or shell around it to put one half one color and the other half a diff. one. That’s it. She explained to me how difficult it was and how much work I was adding on to them! Then she had to go to the back to «consult» this elaborate cake with another lady just as annoying as her. I got so tired by the impossibility of them working with me, that I just decided never to come back.

I don’t know why this place only has two reviews, because it’s so awesome. These cupcakes are super moist and the frosting is not overpowering either. I’ve tried almost all of them with the little sampler box, but my faves are guava and strawberry.

This place is awesome!!! They had made a couple of cakes for me and my family, they are very creative and sweet. The cakes taste delicious and fresh so the cupcakes wich are amazing =P !!! I love it!!!

a friend with a very reliable sweet tooth first told me about this place like 6 months ago. so when planning this bridal shower it immediately came to mind…
i went in to simply cakes with the invitation and an idea. the lady that helped me was super nice and helpful giving her own input while being super honest and trying to come up with a concept that could work.
after hearing the huge price tag for the cake (over 200) i was a bit turned off. this cake was only for 25 people but i did have a complex idea.
so i shopped around and visited many well known cake shops in miami. most were either way too expensive or uninterested in doing such a small cake (for 25 ppl)
went back to simply cakes and decided on cupcakes with fondant lingerie pieces on each individual cupcake.
there were a bunch of flavors to choose from, most notable — tiramisu, dulce leche, nutella, guava, strawberry, etc. as well as the usual suspects, vanilla, oreo, chocolate, red velvet, etc.
they were reasonably priced at $ 3 each for the large size.
when we saw them we were soooo happy and amazed at the detail. they outdid themselves. literally each cupcakes was topped with its own unique personalized bra and panty or corset. polka dot, stripes, solids, floral, animal print, pink, black, white, purple, green. omg they were adorable and all lthe ladies loved the flavor and the look!
some girls even took home the fondant lingerie to make other crafty projects with them!
i really cant say enough great things about simply cakes! i was truly impressed with their beautiful and tasty cupcakes.
