I would love you more if you would change your music! The selection kills the ambiance entirely. Top Hits radio blows

Honestly it’s hard to even review this place. It was ok and just that. Not horrible but completely mediocre. I don’t have much to complain about, but nothing great to say either. Bathrooms were disgusting as well btw. Ordered a Spanish chorizo and the duck wings. They were good, Not great. Drinks were pretty good I must say. And I didn’t try the beer though they did seem to have an interesting selection. It was a little over priced for the quality but, if you are looking for a casual spot to grab some quick food in wynwood you should give it a try.

I truly do not understand what the rave is all about. We arrived, a party of six at 3:30pm today which is a Sunday. Although there were SEVERAL empty tables available they refused to seat us claiming a 30 minute wait. Turns out, brunch ends at 4:00pm. They didn’t seat us until 4:00pm so that the brunch menu wouldn’t be available. I should have left, but wanted to give the place a chance. They sat us at 4:00pm and the service was as slow as molasses. We had to ask for certain items several times and the food took over an hour. When the food finally arrived it was cold. Meats were not cooked to the correct temperature, I never got my sweet potato fries, but they put it on the bill. In addition my husbands ribeye was pure fat, hardly any meat at all. Overall, extremely disappointed. I will not return.

Would really like to give this place a better rating because the ambiance was great. However, waiter was inattentive and I asked for my burger to be cooked WELL, I received a WELLDONE burger. Had to flag down the waiter to ask for water and refills. Just a poor experience.

Fabulous ambiance with delicious food and drinks! The carpaccio is a must try and Alejandra was an amazing waitress. Great service and the drinks were so good! We definitely look forward to coming back.

If you’re in the Wynwood area and looking for a cool place to stop and get a bit to eat I would suggest the Butcher shop. Not only is it a bar and restaurant but inside there is also an actual butcher shop where you can purchase meats to go. My lady and I went about a week or so ago and had a really good time. The first thing we ordered was the jumbo pretzel. The cheese sauce that it comes with goes really well with the saltiness of the pretzel. Next we got the short rib tacos. I highly recommend these, they are amazing. They come with three so its nice to share with someone. Finally I have to say that while we didn’t get the burgers the people next to us did and boy did they look good… defiantly on my list of things to get next time.

I used to come here a long time ago for wings and beer specials and friendly helpful staff. Things have changed. A few months ago my fiancé and I ordered one dogfish head beer a piece that server recommended(but actually we are very familiar since we are related to someone who works at their brewery) and found that our beers came to half of our total bill. A 4% ABV festina pesch was 12 bucks! Our relation who works at the brewery told us that was insane. They said we ordered speciality beers. Ok. So we go back the other night to meet friends and we decide to order a beer after going back and forth looking at a small list in a plastic holder apart from their menu. The server saw us wondering if the plastic holder meant the beers on draft but offered no clarification. So I order a Sierra Nevada estate and he gets a mikeller. 12 bucks a piece AGAIN. Box Elder has specialty beers that cost that much for a GROWLERFILL. Butcher shop does not list their beer prices and the server WILLNOTGIVEYOUTHEHEADSUPTHATTHEBEERISTHEPRICEOFYOURMEAL. Shady shady and shame on you! This shop is definitely a butcher shop. Your wallet won’t make it out alive. Also, the quality of the food(and all of my friends who used to love this place agreed) has gone way down. Way to treat your locals, BS.

I have three check ins here? Well, rest assured, there will never be another. Shame on you, Butcher Shop. Shame on you for your underhanded menu presentation. Do you have a great beer selection? Absolutely. But thanks so much for putting your prices on your«specialty menu.» Because I absolutely still would have ordered that 5% beer for 12FU**INGDOLLARS. No. I’m kidding. I absolutely would not have. I would, however, have loved to ordered two $ 6 beers. Or even an $ 8 beer. But because you love to just drop a $ 34 check for two beers and a pretzel, you have now lost two customers. All for about 8 bucks of profit. Here’s a tip. Come pay me 10 and I’ll kick you in the nuts for free, rather than letting Butcher Shop rape you in the wallet.

Second time coming here. Came today with an open stomach and just wanted food and drink. Opted out of of the bottomless mimosas. Ordered the skirt steak Benedict on Sunday. Brunch was pretty good. The place was a little busy and they put my name down and took my number to txt me. Ended up sitting at the bar and eating there. Service was not the best. Took them like 10 mins to acknowledge us. Afterwards food and drink orders put in. Food was good and good portion. My skirt steak came out medium to medium rare which is good for me but they never asked how I wanted it. Also when the food came out 2 different people brought me silverware. Just a busy bar with too many folks working. Would come here again but just know Sundays are busy. Nice place to sit, eat and drink to watch the game. Not really a place for young kids or children. Ample room outside. Inside a little intimate.

I had their signature Spice of life drink. What a great cocktail. So much that that’s the only thing I wrote in the draft on my reviews. Great place to start out the night in Wynwood. Ambiance is great day or night(I was there at night). The only thing I hated was that it took forever to get a drink from the bar. The bar is in the center of the restaurant– half is outside and half is inside. The evening I was there there were two bartenders for the entire bar. The place wasn’t overrun but the waitress for our party was taking a great deal of time to our party. Overall I’d try to go back during a non peak hour during the day to avoid waiting over 45 minutes to receive one drink.

Would’ve had a better experience had it not been a night for Art Basel. Place is crowded but theirs a reason for that. It has a lounge atmosphere, and staff is great at accommodating patrons. Only downside is some of the patrons being rowdy. However, the burgers and fries are very delicious and it’s a great place after a night in wynwood

During Art Basel we worked up an appetite walking around and I knew I wanted to hit up the Butcher Shop on my last visit to Wynwood, so we headed over around 7pm on a busy Sunday night. Even though the wait for a table was only about 15min, which was surprising seeing how packed the place was, we ended up getting lucky and scored 2 seats at the bar, no wait! Perfect start! My friend ordered a beer and I got an old fashioned. Most places never get the drink right but our bartender Jason was AWESOME and not only made the best old fashioned I have ever had but he gave us a little history on the drink! Bonus and great customer service! He also hooked us up with samples of pretty much every drink he made since we were sitting dead center to the bar and always right in front of him as he made drinks. We kept guessing what was in them and they were always really creative. Super nice guy and great bartender he really put on a show for us while we were there. We both decided to go with the gorgonzola bacon burger since the menu was limited due to the Art Basel crowds. We wanted to share and get the jalapeño cheddar burger too but they ran out of those and the blue cheese fritters we wanted to try as well… bummer but we understood. They came with fries and the burgers were HUGE! They have nice thick cut fries too and everything came out cooked perfectly and super-hot and fresh! We loved everything and there wasn’t much food left behind on our plates so you know we enjoyed our meals. I definitely want to come back when things are less crazy to try more items on the menu. At the end before we left we asked Jason to create a special shot for us since we had tried so many of his creations all night. He made us this super smooth shot that had beer and citrus in it, really creative and yummy. Service overall was fast and friendly despite the crowds so it was obvious this place knows how to handle the Miami crowds. I will be back for sure. If you see Jason at the bar make sure to have him make your drinks I promise you will not be disappointed!

I don’t know why my first post was removed, but now I’m going to keep it simple: The service was good; server was pleasant. Food could have been better; bacon gorgonzola burger not as delicious as I imagined it would be. No special kick from the gorgonzola, bun was too thick and too much. Plus the bottom bun had a mold spot on it. Good deal on bucket of beers. Really deserves 2.5 stars, but downgrading because my food was moldy. Would not return due to aforementioned moldy food.

Arrived at Butcher shop at 3:53 used ladies room and arrived at bar with Ari. He asked for drink order, we did… happy hour started at 4. Call me cheap but $ 8 for difference in letting us know 5 min remained, when we were already indecisive… anyway…Mongolian wings fine aka terriaki and spaetzle balls like hush puppy batter and indecernable bacon with«noodle» Great atmosphere and menu shows promise. Sometimes service and hospitality are the little things. Sadly almost always absence in South Florida. Upper US tourists beware!

I was impressed with the food options on the menu. This is my kind of place. I purchased a bratwurst and fries, and it was really delicious. The large pretzel looked really good. I will have to purchase that on my next visit. On this particular Saturday, this place was jam-packed. They had college football playing on the large TV screens. Service behind the bar was solid. My bartender did a good job of taking care of me. They have an indoor and outdoor portion. They have what looks like a butcher shop in the back(go figure?). Based on all of the Unilocal reviews, this place seems wildly popular. I’m looking forward to trying more deli and butcher shop comfort food.

Great spot in the art district to grab a pint and relax al-fresco with friends. The place is packed for a reason. Between the beer selection and ambiance, its truly no wonder. El Hub and I wandered in after spending some time aimlessly walking around admiring sidewalk art. I can’t say anything to the food, but from what I could see, plates were being cleaned and thoroughly enjoyed. Our waiter, I don’t know his name but he looked like a young Freddie Prinz, was awesome and incredibly helpful. I’m no beer connoisseur, so I need some hand holding while I navigate the menu, which was no problem at all for faux-Freddie. In the end, yes I would absolutely return. Its the kind of place to take out of town friends, because its so damn enjoyable and no-frills.

Had gone to happy hour and needed to fill my tummy with anything but liquids. They had a monday happy hour menu till 8 so we ordered a bit of everything. The mac and cheese balls and the mongolian sauce. The steak was ehhh ok and the pork was chewy and pretty much unflavored. What I hated the most is that the portions were less than half of what you would get in the regular menu. The service was ok, had to ask two or 3 times for things. It smelled a little funky, but I guess with 50% off drinks, I might be back.

Have I not written a review of this place? How can this be? Most of us already know that the Butcher Shop has become one of the cornerstone establishments in the Wyn-wizze(that’s right, I call it the Wyn-Wizzie). Open air dinning if you’d like, flat screen tv’s, a solid beer selection, and a menu that’s heavily skewed to the heavy meats. However they’ve got some good salads there too if you’re craving greens.

+ Hipster location in the art district + Indoor, outdoor bar and seated patio areas + Excellent for large groups + Wide selection of international spirits and beers I always order a cocktail at places that specialize in something else like beef, beer or tacos. But, who cares, I’m up for a surprise. I ordered a drink called the Tricky Ricky with a base drink of soda water… I dunno. I was like hmmm… Yea Ricky, you are tricky, cause it didn’t taste like much of anything. I guess with the weather being humid and hot. A person would want a «refreshing» drink. Not me! Give me the sugar. The umbrella in my cup– I’m on vacation tricks. Seriously, this place was cool, the bartender was attentive and they had a serious selection of brew. The outdoor area was unreal. Oversized vintage wood table tops. And, vendor beer kegs on display gave this place attitude. Next, time I’ll try the food, Ricky!

I love tasty animals! Taking a break from la vida this past weekend, some friends and I took a stroll through Wynwood during their Saturday Art Walk. Being new in town, they left it up to me to pick a spot for dinner. Admittedly, it was a toss-up between three places(all well-known Wynwood eateries). In the end, I picked The Butcher Shop because I knew they had a decent selection of beers and a nice big bar. The fact that they serve tasty animals was a plus in their favor as well. Seating is usually a problem here because it’s always so busy. This time around, my friends and I got very lucky. There was seating available inside in the air conditioned section by the big display case. A more perfect arrangement could not have been imagined. Now, if you’re into the whole beer garden atmosphere, the outside patio area resembles just that. There’s usually a happy bunch of locals and visitors drinking large, hoppy pints while singing along to the music. On this night, the house was packed both inside and out, the crowds were rowdy but the service impressed me. Our waiter never skipped a beat. The menu allows you to sample several exotic tasty animals like octopus and Mongolian duck wings. Tuna Kinchee is a favorite with many and the smoked pork belly skewers resemble«American» style chicharrones. There’s a great charcuterie option that allows you to sample many different cold cuts and cheeses for a reasonable price. I had the Butcher Shop Signature Mix Burger with Sweet Potato Fries. Was it «off the chain-amazeballs»? No. But it was good enough that I did contemplate ordering another one. You really can’t go wrong here. If you stick around long enough for dessert, get the Key Lime Pie and the Strudel. Yes, I said«AND»… Located in the Wynwood Arts District off of 23rd Street, I recommend coming when it’s not as crowded so you can get a better appreciation of the menu. As for my friends and I, we may come back for those Mongolian Duck Wings and several other tasty animals we didn’t get to try.
