This place used to be very good 2 years ago. But I think when the new owner bought it that it has gone downhill. They used to have some small slices of cheese and bread laid out in order for people to try, but they stopped that a long time ago. The last 2 times I have ordered a greek salad it has come w no olives and no grape leaves. In addition they have reduced the sandwich selection and removed 2 of my favorite sandwiches. I have stopped going.

Nice atmosphere, good prices, and friendly service. Visited with a friend and we both had«the pairings.» These include a cup of soup or salad and a half sandwich of your choice. I had chicken noodle soup with a Black Forest ham sandwich on a baguette with mozzarella cheese. The cheese was excellent(as one would expect considering that’s their specialty), and the bread, meat and seasoning were also very good. They’re sandwiches do come minus the traditional trappings(this isn’t Firehouse, which I love, but alas). Would certainly return.

Love this place! Superb customer service, friendly staff, and delicious food! Can’t go wrong with anything youngest, but a platter is a great start.

Being a cheese fanatic, i was expecting a location similar to the one in Weston(cheese heaven). Although i was disappointed that it wasn’t, the staff were so nice and friendly and overwhelmingly accommodating that i have no choice but to give them 5 stars. The sandwiches were great, too.

I expected more from this location. The place is really cute and The cashier was very nice but my half chicken salad sandwich and cream of vegetable soup were nothing special. Not very tasty, the bread was a bit dry and the soup portion very small and flavorless. For $ 10 without a drink I understand it’s an option for lunch in the area if you don’t want to break the bank, maybe I’ll give it another chance.

Love this place! Before you could go in and buy cheeses and different foods. Now it seems as if its more a restaurant than a little cheese market. Regardless, food is awesome. I keep coming back thanks to their Chicken Pesto Panini, it truly is delicious!

This place is pretty legit! I’m excited to go back and check it out again. You can create your own cheese and meat plate or you can select one off the menu. They have soups and sandwiches, so a great spot for both lunch and dinner. I just so happened to be there on a Thursday night which is happy hour, which was excellent. It’s $ 3 glasses of wine and craft beers from 5−11pm; thank you for having a happy hour run longer than 8pm The cheese and meat list is not that extensive; however they have many different cheeses you can buy whole to go as well as an extensive wine bottle collection. They have a cute outdoor eating area and its conveniently located in Midtown shops. The prices are reasonable, and especially nice on a Thursday evening with happy hour drink prices. I noticed through another Unilocal review you can get pesto with your meat and cheese plate. I’ll be back for that!

This little place is in Downtown Miami just southeast of the Metro mover Bayfront station. I really enjoyed my soup and sandwich combo. The smoked salmon was excellent and the soup delightful. You can eat in or outside and the prices are just right for a not too heavy but very tasty lunch. The service was quick and courteous, this is especially good when you have a limited time for lunch.

AMAZING! Definitely gonna be coming back! I had the turkey and brie sandwich(which was delicious — perfect mix of savory and sweet), some midnight moon cheese, and some merlot.

I used to go to the cheese course quite often. Lately the place has change, not only they have taken the variety of cheese they used to offer, they changed the menu, service is not good as is used to be. Went there to have lunch with my mum, we asked for salads they brought us sandwiches instead of salads. My mum took the sandwich but I asked to have the salad instead. By the time my mum finished the sandwich, I was still waiting for my salad. The place had just a few people as it was a late lunch, so it was not a matter of been busy… I ask for my money back, they didn’t even apologize for their mistake. We left very unhappy of the situation. Shame that The Cheese Course is not what is used to be anymore.

A definite go-to lunch spot when you’re in the Midtown Miami area. The service behind the counter was spectacular although not much help was needed since the menu’s are thorough in descriptions and I am dating a cheese plate expert with exquisite taste(she would appreciate the compliment) haha. The selection from the soups, to the cheese courses, to the salads. Speaking of salads, thanks to the order of French Field Greens I placed here, I now have an obsession with cranberries and nuts in my salads(one like no other). Cant’t forget the beers and wine, very European selection and IPA and hops beers by the bottle are great additives to any meal at this place. Loved the fact that the menu appeals to both those healthy conscious and those looking for a little cheat day. The seating arrangements are very cozy and the options of being inside or outside make for a great date location for you and your significant other. The location is cornered and parking directly in front and along the street and being in Midtown makes for a great afternoon stroll to enjoy the shops or if you love it that much, it’s on the bottom of an upscale high rise with vacancies for sale/rent!

Top notch. I love the Cheese Course, regardless, but this is the best location I’ve been to. It’s always clean, and the food is consistent each time. We frequent about once a week and are always pleased. It’s a great place to go relax, grab a bite and enjoy the scenery. The outside seating is beautifully set up, you don’t feel like you’re in the middle of the city with busy streets around you. The highest kudos go to the assistant manager, David. What a delight, honestly. He recommended we try a cheese course one night, and we know nothing of cheese. He asked a few questions, to get our likes/dislikes and made three recommendations. He could not have been more spot on. The next time we went in he immediately recognized us and knew our ‘standard’ order, and with two more cheese course recommendations, hit the nail on the head again. This guy knows his stuff, not to mention he makes the whole experience such a pleasure.

Really like the service at this place. Ordered online and picked up. But the menu online was different from what was actually on the menu in the store. So when I picked up my sandwich it was wrong. They corrected it no problem and it was really tasty too. Want to come back and try this place again. They have a nice wine selection and good atmosphere.

I do not really care for cheese and I absolutely loved, The Cheese Course. So yes, one can actually go to a spot like this and enjoy it even when cheese is not their cup of tea. As is the case with me. I am not vegan or lactose intolerant, I just do not care for the taste of 99% of cheese and coming to a place like this, one needs to find good options. I was able to and then some at The Cheese Course. I had a chicken salad sandwich on a whole wheat baguette which was fresh and tasty, and my fiancé had a pesto chicken sandwich with a melted cheese on Panini roll. Both were very tasty and with a tomato bisque on the side to share, the meal was quite perfect. The staff was very friendly and the wait time to get the sandwiches was minimal. The location, in Midtown Miami, in a corner of the lot was also very nice and convenient. Parking can be tough around there sometimes, but patience is the key. So I can highly recommend the Cheese Course. I might not be enjoying the cheese, but there is so much more to enjoy, you will be fine.

Outdoor and indoor seating with inexpensive sandwiches. You order, they provide a number for your table and they bring it to you. Ordered the Perfect pair of Tomato Bisque and Prosciutto sandwich, Albacore White Tuna Melt(better without the top piece of bread… too much bread and not enough tuna), and the Euro 3 Cheese(delicious and a bit sweet). Overall, you can’t go wrong with their menu and there’s a large variety for different tastes.

It’s just sandwiches. Nothing special. I came in here for breakfast and turns out they are no longer serving breakfast so I had already purchased the groupon so I pretty much had no choice but to stay. This is my first time coming here and not really impressed by their food. Their service deserves 5 stars. The girl helping at the register was extremely nice. Their food: Quality: Fresh! Taste: blah Price: $$$ My bill for 2 sandwiches and 2 drinks $ 28 Nonetheless would I come here again? Yes but not for the sandwiches, next time I’m coming for cheese and wine.

Out of all the cheese course locations I’ve been too this one is my favorite. The outside seating gives it a nice touch. I usually get the half sandwich half soup, they have really great soups and the staff is always nice and attentive. Parking can be an issue sometimes but I usually find one within 10 min. It is midtown street parking so you do have to pay I would simply recommend to download pay by phone on your phone and pay parking that way. I will be coming back to this location for many more lunches.

A visiting friend and I came to The Cheese Course on a recent Wednesday evening. We arrived and looked at the board that lists the foods they offer and the pricing. To be honest, everything looked good, but because I’d never been here before and didn’t know how large their portions were, I didn’t know if we should each order a sandwich and split a cheese course, or if that would be too much. In the end, we decided to split the Three Cheeses from France with sliced baguette from their bistro menu, and the whole Italian caprese salad. We each ordered a glass of their house wine, which as others have mentioned is immediately poured from open bottles at the cash register when you order and pay. We chose to sit outside as the weather was perfect on this night. We carried our glasses of wine and the order number we were given by the cashier, and within about 5 minutes, our cheese course and caprese salad were delivered by a server. At first when I saw the cheese platter, it didn’t seem like $ 16 worth of food. But once I tasted how fresh and tasty all the cheeses were, tasted the olives and sundried tomato pesto and enjoyed it all on the sliced baguette, I was hooked. Though we only ordered the cheese course and a salad to share, both of us were quite full and in fact were unable to completely finish everything. We wanted to split the check and each pay by credit card, which the cashier initially told us was possible, but after some difficulty I had to put the cheese and 1 glass of wine on my card, and my friend put the salad, gratuity and second glass of wine on hers. Also, we each decided on a second glass of wine and were told it would’ve been much cheaper if we’d simply purchased a bottle. Their house wine is $ 5.99 per glass, but I believe he said $ 15 for the bottle. In all, I’m now a fan of this place, and would really like to stop back at some point and try their sandwich offerings. Once I do, I’ll be sure and update my review.

I decided that my first Unilocal review should go to one of my favorite places in Miami… The Cheese Course in Midtown! I remember when I first heard about TCC, a friend told me about it. My very naiive response was exactly this«a place dedicated just to the cheese course of a meal?» YES… well, ANDNO at the same time. TCC is a cheese mongers dream but it is also so much more. They serve cheeses, deli meats, they prepare sandwiches, salads and soups. They offer fountain soda, wine(by the glass and by the bottle), magazines to read and many market-type condiments etc to take home. Anyway, fast forward 4 or 5 years later and if I could eat Cheese for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner I would. But I love me some steak so… The Spanish salad with shredded manchego is very tasty! I always ask for a side of the shallot vinaigrette so I can dip pieces of french baguette into it. The kalamata olive tapenade is perfectly briny and salty on sliced baguette as well. And it goes without saying that I always have a side of their fig spread as well.(I keep a couple jars of it at home at all times. The brand is Dalmatia, definitely the best. Stay away from Harvest Song, golden fig spread. No bueno.) Here are some of my favorites that they carry here: Prima Donna, Billberry Goat, or Delice D’Argental. There is this yellow-ish Gouda with crunchy salt pockets reminiscent of pamigiano regianno that I cannot recall the name of and it’s driving me nuts! I’ll post it when I remember. Well, that one is outstanding! Understand that they do not make the cheeses, they aren’t locally made(some might be I suppose) so you can find the same cheeses at places like Whole Foods, Fresh Market and Norman Brothers. BUT what you can’t find this ambiance, the beautiful foliage and the relaxing shaded seating anywhere else. The TCC location in Pinecrest is the one closest to my house yet I will drive all the way to Midtown just for the experience. I have spent many afternoons here with a book, a glass of wine and a cheese plate. I am so grateful for this little slice of Cheese Heaven in Miami.

Midtown oasis. Great place to come for lunch or late aftertoon nibbles and a glass of wine or beer. Lovely surroundings and it’s got a really lush outdoor seating area. Really nice ambience. Sandwiches are delicious and cheese plates are delectable. Salads are also very satisfying. Counter staff are helpful and very friendly.
