The Village Flea Market

Ok I been going that northside plaza mall since I were little girl. Used to be my favorite places to go. Not anymore. It was nice they fix it up etc new owner etc. but all those domes video cameras in every corner. Look ridiculous. Plus I’m sure it make some not comfortable. Know it in crime area but feel like I’m going to prison area. With all that cameras, what I notice is security guards sometime over do it, if you not in minority there consider you suspicious. Every time I go there pass by there those guards drive around me like crazy keep passing by or send police to check yes they do. Don’t know why I’m target there. After that I go there less and less. It could be nice place they need to tone it down a bit. Just because someone said something negatives about person doesn’t mean it true. I feel I can’t go there that much. I know for fact they consider me suspicious, when I been going to the stores all my life. Sadly I go other plaza mall that doesn’t focus on me, feel comfortable at other plaza mall. I’m sorry but it true. Doesn’t feel good going there anymore. When I know soon they see me they click on radio oh whatever she there they go right by me like crazy or see what I’m doing. I do find it offensive don’t know if they do it to somebody else. But me yes. It why I go there less only if have to but I would drive 100 miles away from it. Sorry need to hire different security dept there it not helping it just make it worse soon or later less people’s might not go back there all because guards and cameras etc making people’s uncomfortable I would say it harassing.

You can get anything you want here, also good price, and drive license Department here, also new York buffet Chinese restaurant all you can eat here, very good place###

I still call this place Liberty Market as it is called «The Village Flea Market», I’ve been coming here since the early 1990’s, I always get my manicure and pedicure done at American Nails. They have 2 floors of a variety of stores and places to eat. They also have an arcade, for the kids. Investors have put $$$$ and renovated and reboot alot of the surrounding stores. Marvelous place to shop.

Well… not much to say. Went on a Thursday morning around 11AM. Some booths were open, most weren’t. Not sure how the hair & nail shops make money. Its too many of the same businesses, crazy competition. Now the many stores in the same plaza, caught my attention.

The Village Flea market… naw I’m from the old school and this is Northside/​Liberty Market!!! Been coming here since I was a kid and it just always gives me that early 90’s feel when I come here. Now with the new name came the new look brand new stores and a much needed upgrad to the building. Everything you need is here.

The people are friendly. And so I decided to browse the place.
Gold jewelry and some customized too. Then you have the hair accessories, auto stuff, clothes, purses, music, perfumes, food, etc…
The Bahamian Conch Gazpacho and Pizza was the hang out on a Thursday afternoon. On the weekends, every vendor is booming with business and bass music.
And left with a couple hair bandous. They have every color of gingham, solids and limited designs. But I really wanna see who buys all those hair extensions and weaves. I’m fer reeaaalllll!
