This is the only dog park I’ve been to, and only twice, so I can’t compare. The first time I took my dog, I had no idea what to expect, but she knew, and we went with that. The park is separated into over and under 30 pounders, which is a good idea. There is readily available water and plenty of bowls. Disposal bags too. Nice clusters of seating, in shade. The people I’ve met have been friendly, and have tolerated my girl’s over enthusiasm,(she’s still a pup). I only took off a star because the hill when you enter and leave is a bit difficult for me, but then, it’s not about me. Directions should state that it is next to(east side), the old, closed, K-Mart. We drove past it a couple of times. You do need a pass and license from the town of Brookhaven. Bring a 2″(approx) picture of your dog.

One of the better dog runs on the eastern Long Island… but is admittance is restricted. Things it has going for it: — Plenty of parking only a few feet from run — Seating for owners — Has dog drinking fountains — Has separate large & small dog runs — Enough room for dogs to run(4 acres) — Plenty of shade Things it has against it: — No bathrooms for humans near run — Dirt ground cover Top 5 run on Long Island but this run is for Pooch Pass holders only(key fob needed to get into this dog park). $ 25 annually for Town of Brookhaven residents $ 45 annually for New York State residents Dog runs/parks I have been to so far:
