I recently had my hair cut short and I am now finding many long pieces throughout my hair. Other than that the customer service was great, I just wish I didn’t have to cut my own hair to fix the mistakes that were made during my visit

I have been going to Kimberly’s Beach House for 6 years. I have had hair services, nail services, massage & tanning and I’ve always loved my service and been treated wonderfully by the employees. I highly recommend this salon.

This place is lovely! I was a little hesitant to try yet another new stylist/place but had no choice since I recently moved. I called on Tuesday and was put on the books with Amanda for today(Thursday). I am so happy that I found this wonderful woman who did exactly what I asked for! She was attentive and listened to what I was trying to achieve. She explained what she would do and assured me that she understood my concerns. I couldn’t be happier with the results, especially since I’ve been rather unhappy with my hair experiences for over a year now. She gave me a great trim as that’s all I needed as far as a cut and partial hilights and low lights in the back and throughout. The price was fairly reasonable as well. I will definitely return!

I will never understand how an experienced stylist cannot follow an established haircut! After trying for about a year to get my short hair style cut the way it was supposed to be cut, I had a mess on my hands and a Wilson Point stylist who was not interested in making it right, which is how I wound up at Kimberly’s. I first spoke with Kim about my hair issue while getting a pedicure from her and decided then to make an appointment with her. She spent well over an hour with me — first talking, asking lots of questions, listening and then cutting my already short hair. She is very good at listening and knew exactly what I was talking about. She did exactly what I expected at a very reasonable price. They prefer cash or check probably to keep prices down. My only negative — the shop could have been a bit cooler, it was really hot the day I went.

I received a donated 70.00 massage gift certificate from a charity for Kimberly’s Beach Salon. It had a 2011 issue date with no clear expiration date. When I called to book my appointment, I stated that I had a gift certificate prior to the reservation. When I arrived and my service of a 60 min massage was complete, I checked out at the register, gave the massage therapist my gift certificate, she processed the gift certificate and then I gave her a 20% tip. From there I left and got a missed call from the salon but no voice mail was left. Fearing I may have left something there, I called back and spoke to the massage therapist who stated that they realized the gift certificate was expired as it has been over a year and they were going to call the Owner. I replied that I did not see an expiration date or a note on there that stated that. The massage therapist then said that this has happened before and that the Owner usually accepts it. I simply said«great, let me know». Later that day, I received 2 voice mails from that front desk staff saying that the gift certificate was expired, that the owner would not accept it and that I had to come back and pay. When I called back, I stated that there was no visible expiration date when I had it and that the mistake was on them because they DID accept it and processed it at check out. The front desk staff said that most gift cert. expire a year from issuance but that was not stated on mine. After refusing as the transaction was complete, the front desk said she would talk to the owner and that I may hear from her. I proceeded to get a total of 3 calls from the owner in a span of 3 weeks — 2 voice mails and 1 that I was able to answer. I was told that I was recorded stating that I said I would come back in and pay(which is against the law), I was told that if money was received for the gift certificate, it would have been accepted and that I was going to be taken to collections. I’m completely shocked at how this was handled. I am a new customer with a gift cert from a charity who came there to relieve stress and instead have endured more. I was lied to(re: recording) & threatened all over their error. Kimberly, the owner, eventually dropped the issue as I had contacted a lawyer & the news and sent a letter not fully taking blame and also giving me another $ 25 gift certificate to use at the spa which i do genuinely appreciate. Unfortunately, the first impression has been ruined & it’s very sad as I could have been very faithful client. Bottom line is the error was on them & it’s bad business to harass customers on their mistake. They are also not following the MD Gift Cert law: . Not to mention again… It was also a gift certificate donated to a charity for a charity event!
