Mooneys’ Public House

Been here a few times since they became Mooney’s. Every time I come by its always great! They have a lot of taps to choose from and the bartenders keep track for givebacks (that’s a huge plus in my book!) They also have a great seating area outside for the warmer months which also has a big projector/​tv for those sporting events!
The food is good as well. I recommend the burgers or wraps to order. They also have good wings and beer battered chicken strips.

No complaints here. Have eaten here twice. It’s a neighborhood bar not fine dining. The waitress is friendly and does a good job. First time I had the steak and mashed potatoes. Second time I had a burger with French fries. I like my meat well done and both times it was served perfectly without my having to send it back. I’ll continue to go here… it’s convenient and you get your money’s worth

I came here on a late Saturday night to meet up with a couple of friends. I haven’t been here in a while since it used to be Kelly’s and they changed the whole place.
There weren’t many people here which wasn’t an issue since we were just here to have some drinks and BS. My friends knew the bartender so it was nice to chat with her as well since she was very nice.
I didn’t get to try the food since I got here late and not sure if the kitchen was still open but to be honest I didn’t even ask.
This is a neighborhood bar with a jukebox, nothing fancy. If you ever want to come have drinks without worrying about cover charges, very loud music or super expensive fancy drinks then this is your place.

I’ve been working down the block from this place for 15 years. It’s had different establishment names and owners through the years but one thing is definate… I never mind going there for an after work drink or food with co-​workers. This is by far a party place but it’s cool to sit and watch a game or just a talk with a brew in hand.

Nice setup. A lot of tvs with a huge projection screen for sports. Nice outside area for summertime. I have two major issues that kept them at 3 stars. Firstly, they do not take credit/​atm cards. they have an atm that charges you 2 $ plus your bank fee so if u didn’t come with cash add 5 $ to your bill. The second is the food, while it is prepared well it operates independently of the bar. So if u order wings while sitting at the bar u get a separate food check. Do I really have to tip both the waitress who hasnt waited on me all night except for handing me the food and the bartender? Might not be a big deal to some but along with the atm I felt like I was being nickle and dimed.
Edit: they own the atm so the fee comes directly from them.

No Bang for Your Buck! My boyfriend and I just left Mooneys. We are locals and try to support local businesses as often as possible, which is every day! So we decided to try it out for St. Patrick’s Day. The place had a nice crowd. The waitstaff was very friendly and efficient and the place was clean, however I have to agree with the last reviewer about the NO CREDIT CARD situation. Not only are they saving money not taking cards, they also make money by owning the ATM machine in the corner of the bar that they direct customers to only after it comes time to pay. I find a local business that relies on local patrons to stay alive to not accept credit cards AND supply a FEE BASED ATM to be bordering on exploitation. Our second complaint is the food… while the food is your typical tasty bar and grill food, it’s ridiculously stingy in portion size. As we live right around the corner we *would* have come here at least once a week, especially in the summer when we could walk over, but to have just drinks, well we might as well save our dollar.

i wish i could give this place a 0. its called mooneys now and there D-​U-​N-​S Number 179 256 813. i even filed a report with the BBB. they have a old woman here who is very disrespectful and she is very unprofessional. Pat Kelly was the old owner not sure if he is the new owner since the change. they just have this horrible lady there she was disgusting and i really did not like it. will never go again and dont think anyone else should go either

Local pub, good for a drink when you want to walk to the bar. The outdoor seating in the back is beautiful in the summer time. Food isn’t all that bad either. The toughest thing to get past in this place sometimes are the people that hang out there.

We went to this bar this past Saturday for karaōke night. The bar looks nice and the bathrooms are clean. We got there early to eat before the karaōke festivities, but the dining room appeared to be closed. We got a table by the bar and ordered from the bar instead. We both got cheeseburgers and fries. The burger was ok-​they seemed to have forgotten the seasoning, though.
The bartenders were nice, but I had a problem with one of the employees-​I believe she was the food runner. I was standing at the bar waiting for a beer, and she rudely tapped me on the shoulder and told me to move over so she could get to the bar. I did as she asked, but then she literally bumped right into me again and rudely asked me to move over again. There was no room for me to move over, unless she wanted me to sit in a lady’s lap. For those who know me-I’m a very petite person and I don’t take up much room, so I’m not sure why she had to barge into me like I was taking up the whole entire bar. Anyway– in the end, we had dinner, and had 5 beers each and our bill was right around $ 55. It’s a decent place for the area.

the place looks great, the beers are ice cold and the bartenders are very good. great burgers and wings too.
