Love it! The people are so friendly, especially on Holidays. Halloween candy and apples.

I shop here regularly, and I have noticed somewhat unethical business practices numerous times. But yesterday(7÷17÷15) went one step beyond. When I went to get a gallon of low fat milk in their cooler, I noticed a line of gallon containers on one shelf; and, directly beneath it a single gallon on the shelf below(along with other smaller milk containers). When I checked the expiration dates of the line, they were all 7÷12÷15, meaning they were all 5 days beyond the expiration date! The single container had an expiration date of 7÷19÷15. Clearly, the owner had set up the milk containers so people would reflexively reach for a 5-day-over-expiration container, if they weren’t specifically looking for an expiration date. Obviously, I bought the 7÷19÷15 container. The owner can’t speak English very well either. When I told him on 2 separate occasions that I liked a product, he told me twice, «I have that every morning.» In short, he’s a total liar. If you’re careful, this place has some decent items that can’t be found in other stores nearby. That’s its only saving grace.

Everything looks disgusting and old. I bought shredded carrots and didn’t realize they were over two weeks old. Have some integrity and respect for your customers. Just leave so maybe a better store can open. I’d give less than a star. Buyer beware and Do Not purchase from here. If you are that desperate for fruits and veggies then go to trader joes.

*** I am updating this review, because my suspicions were right. I just open one of the cans of food I bought to find the entire inside covered in mold!!! Definitely will not be returning here. I pass this place all the time on my way to work, so I finally figured I’d stop in. From the street the signage leads you to believe that much of the produce here is organic… it is not. Nams isn’t a bad market, just one that has little to no organic items. This is basically your typical small neighborhood produce market that there are many of throughout Queens. There is a mediocre selection of produce. I was hoping to find more pre-sliced produce and pre-made salads here. There also a mediocre grocery selection. There are some interesting items, but it doesn’t seem like there is a high turn over of the grocery items. so I would be a bit skeptical. Overall, I would come here if you live in the immediate area, but I would not go out of your way to come here as you can find most things sold here at any market.

This is a good go-to place when getting reasonably priced produce and those last minute item for any Asian cuisine. I mean come on, where else in Middle Village are you going to find five types of Onion and al least seven types of mushrooms on any given month. Yeah. I like that they have juice as well and not only milk, because sometimes I forget. The flowers that are outside are fresh and last quite a few days. They recently put cameras in, so I guess some of our fellow neighbors were being assholes and stealing crap. So now the owners eyeball everyone even more now. Thanks a lot to the moron who just couldn’t help themselves and decided to steal sh*t. I do love this place though, They are open twelve hours a day Monday through Friday.

There is nothing good here. Every once in a while I try to give it another chance, but the produce disappoints every time. Fruit and vegetables are regularly rotten or turning. Produce stays on the shelves a lot longer than it should. Peppers, Asian sweet potatoes, garlic, apples, onions always old and should not even appear for sale. I recently gave this place one more try only to be disappointed again, and the tipping point for writing this review was getting lettuce that, once I got it home I realized once again that it had clearly overstayed it’s welcome on their shelves. Another issue with this store is their claim that theirs is an «ORGANIC» fruit/vegetable market as stated on their awning. I went in one day and asked for their organic produce and was told that no produce was organic, but that some of the breads they sell were organic and(she thought), there were some bags of chips that were organic. What a complete misrepresentation of the business! If your main business is fruits and veggies and your sign says«ORGANIC» outside, then your business should be required to carry organic produce. If you want a really good produce shop there are several in Astoria on 30th Ave near 31st Str that are worth the trip. Otherwise, Stop & Shop, while more expensive can be counted on for produce that is always fresh. *I rated this market pricey because you shouldn’t have to pay anything for old produce. Period.

This is a good Produce stop on the corner of Metro and 75th Street. The prices for their fruit and veges are usually excellent — most items 1⁄3 of the cost of the supermarket. They have organic milk/cheese. This area used to have more produce stores, but a couple recently closed. This is the largest in the area and great place to get fresh fruits and veges at a decent price. Not all items are organic although the sign outside says«Natural and Organic». Regardless, most times this place is packed with shoppers picking up good deals!
