What a fun visit! Appalachian Gap Distillery is part of the tasting tour in the Middlebury Area. I was able to sample their wide variety of offerings and am happy to report back that all were quite exceptional(and complementary). A not yet named gin(which has yet to be released) Papilio(aka ‘Vermont made tequila’ made with agave and maple syurp) Snowfall(a white whiskey, very moonshine-esque) Ridgeline Barrel aged whiskey(this one was my second favorite) Mosquito Fleet Rum(awesome flavor, and killer bottle label to boot) Kaffevän(Coffee liquor — my favorite and made with slow drip Vermont coffee!) The tasting room is small but Chuck was friendly and explained the stories behind the labels, the distilling process and the distiller itself(he called it the Franken-distiller). Super fun stop and right on the trail with Lincoln peak, woodchuck, and drop in brewing and would highly recommend making the stop!
