Charlie’s Roast Beef

The food is great and the staff is very friendly. I’ve been going here weekly for about 4 years now. I highly recommend the New York pizza with jalapeños instead of the green peppers!

I had the junior roast beef sandwich and it was more than enough for lunch. The small fries I ordered could have easily fed 3 people. The roast beef was incredibly tender and delicious. My husband thought it needed salt but mine was good with just the BBQ sauce. Definitely plan on coming here again and trying their pizza.

Me and my family have been order from Charlies from the beginning. I have NEVER had a bad pizza or sub from here. They are unbelievably friendly and if you order delivery you should expect it in 15 minutes. Even during peak times I’ve never waiting more than 25 minutes for delivery; and if your picking it up, they turn out the food quick, and it’s all delicious.
I use to hang out there when I was a kid and they love to kids and people who are loyal.
During the summer it’s hard to find parking, especially with the overflow from Richardson’s but you can’t beat the location. Park on the grass, doesn’t matter. Get a roast beef on an onion roll, then get yourself an ice cream next door.
The only downfall I’m just recently noticing is they stopped making Baklava, which I so enjoyed. I enjoyed it too much.
I personally think they should change the name to Universe Famous Charlies Roast Beef, because they really do have the best.

Never will my company or myself order from here again. The young lady behind the counter is unprofessional and would not stop agruing even when i told her I dont have the time for it and her co-​worker told her as well.
My sandwich was wrong and I called and she was yelling even a co-​worker heard her from the other cubicle. I honestly can not beleive how she spoke to me on phone and in person in feont of her co-​worker and other customers.
Jan 2015 the food is good but really wish that my orders would be right. I always repeat myself but… When I says light, very little or not too much it means dont load it on oil & vinegar. My sandwich is always soggy and falls apart easily due to this.

After moving from the Tri-​Town, this is the place I miss the most. The roast beef 3 way is delicious.

I live in Middleton and this is my go-​to restaurant. Favorites are the greek salad with a mountain of tuna, the chicken kabob salad and the piled-​high warm and juicy roast beef. Oh, and the chicken wings are hot crispy and delicious. The counter people are always friendly and attentive. Service is fast and efficient. And clean, don’t forget SUPER CLEAN, everywhere, tables, counter, kitchen. Some posters have criticized the pizza, I may have tried it long ago but I just don;t have an opinion. For me this is the place to go when I’m hungry and want a tasty, reasonable-​priced lunch or meal for delivery.

Ive been going here for the last ten years and I’m a very picky eater and love it here the service is awesome people ate extremely nice and everything is awesome i love their subs

The people behind the counter are some of the most miserable looking people I’ve ever laid eyes on. If I’m giving someone my hard-​earned money, I would hope they would at least smile at me and say thank you.

Yum! The best roast beef I have EVER had. Once you have Charlies, no other roast beef compares. The bbq sauce they use is sooo good. I give it 4 stars because the fries/​rings aren’t that great and the food is a little pricey. I haven’t tried anything else. But 5 starts for the beef!

Subs are delicious. Ive had a couple (roast beef, chicken parm, turkey) and all have been pleasant, pretty cheap as well.

Great roast beef, portions, and quality. I get the roast beef dinners weekly. Never disappoint. Friendly staff. I’ve never had the pizzas, but I’ve had steak and cheese subs/​calzones and those are awesome as well.

I love their grilled chicken kabob salad. Delicious.

i only had the pizza from here, but it was disgusting. take this from someone who loves pizza and pretty much loves all kinds. the cheese, sauce, and crust is gross. weird texture as well. will never go there again!

Charlies is OK but I’ve had better. I don’t care for the pizza, (strange crust), They are slow to deliver @ lunch time. (my office used to be in the tower down the street). Decent calzone & beefs. Big clean dining room. Plenty of parking. But what takes a star away (I know you’ll think I’m being too hard) is that they charge xtra for everything. You want lettuce & tomatoes on your sandwich, that will be 25 cents. When your taking orders from 10 of your coworkers that makes your 6.00 sub 8.00 when the guy finally shows with the food. $ 7.00 for a small cheese pizza to 18.00 for a large special.

I had their pizza that was worse than dominos. It was delivered and came rather cold. I also went into the shop and ordered a meat ball sub. That sub was good, and that ‘s the only good thing about this place. As I was waiting, I saw the lady who was working there cleaning the counters where the food is prepared with some cleaning spray. She took the spray and just walked all along the counter constantly spraying… EVEN when she walked by the fryer, spraying right into it. This of course was right after she put some old french fries back into the fryer after someone walked in ordering some french fries, which I’m sure isn’t the best way to make fresh french fries, but then again, I don’t make fried food, so I could be wrong. I’m sure not to order anything from there again. Who knows what else they do if that’s what I saw in the course of 15 mins. Which brings me to my next point. Why does it take 15 mins to make a meatball sub? I’m sure others have great experiences there, and I usually like places that clean, but that’s just wrong. I’m sure no one can tell what they’re eating when it comes out of that fryer, so ignorance is bliss for some.

pretty decent beef here and i’m a Lynn Boy who knows his stuff. good onion rings (NOT BK style) and there pretty quick about getting your order together. i think the beef sub is a better deal than the 2 sammiches i usually get at other places.

Charlie’s knows how to do a Roast beef sandwich! Tender and juicy! very good!

Charlie’s roast beef sandwiches are mouthwatering. The roast beef is always fresh and they have the best sauce around. If your hungry ask for one super-​beef «with everything».
They do takeout and are very quick.
