My 12 year old daughter, after taking a bite of the chocolate lava French toast, said, «Whoa! The favors are coming from all sides.» It was a little too sweet for me, but we really enjoyed the breakfast enchiladas. We would definitely visit again.

This place is amazing. The food is very good and the prices are even better. I don’t review places unless they are awesome. Better than your favorite Diner if that is possible in NJ.

I work in the plaza and had been dreaming about trying their food. I let my daughter play hooky from school and we stopped in to check it out. It was fantastic. We sat at the bar because the dining room was a little loud and overwhelmingly busy but I was happy to sit at the bar. My only complaint there was that every time someone came and went it was so cold! But there’s not much you can do about that. I ordered two eggs over easy with a side of fruit and allowed my daughter to go nuts on her breakfast(I usually end up eating her leftovers anyway so I try to order light knowing I can eat hers when she’s done lol). She had chocolate pancakes with mascarpone and cookie dough. Everything was very good, just a little sweet for my taste but I will definitely be back! I am looking forward to trying the Mac and cheese — I hear it’s amazing.

Just like the other Meemom’s, this one is what you would expect. Unique pancakes and french toast. That is really I would get there. The eggs/omelettes/sides etc… they aren’t that great however let’s face it, you come here for the french toast and pancakes. Also, expect a line. This place is BUSY. If it’s just two of you go sit at the bar. It’s better then waiting over an hour. The staff is okay. They can be nice, they can be a little rude. It’s a coin flip. I’d side if you haven’t been definitely give this place a shot however I don’t consider it good enough to be a weekly place to eat.

Meemoms is fantastic. I went with my daughter first just for a little girls time and had a latte and greek omelet. She had cinnamon french toast and bacon. Everything was so amazing we took the family back. There is usually a wait to get in but it moves pretty fast. We sat at the front breakfast bar area and the super friendly waitress at the front served us both times. She is so sweet and always has great recommendations if you can’t choose from their amazing menu. The coffees .grandpa coffee and simoas are me and my husbands favorites and everything we had food wise has been delicious! Love this place overall!

A friend of mine decided to take me out for breakfast/brunch and surprise me because he knows how big of a foodie I am. I had no idea where we were going. All I know it was a lengthy ride. He took me on a little adventure to Middletown. I would say about 30 minutes without any traffic. We arrived to a plaza filled with tons of shops. We parked and proceeded to our final destination. I saw many people standing outside and inside was very packed. It was a bit overwhelming at first because I had never been here before and didn’t know what to expect. The wait for a table of 2 at 11 am on a Saturday was about a 45 minute wait. We decided to stick with it and keep our eyes on the bar area in case any seats opened up(that area is first come, first serve). While we waited we took a look at the menu and they have so many different options for french toast I couldn’t decide! The crowding began to die down and 30 minutes into our wait two seats opened up at the bar! We immediately took those spots! The hostess, waiters, and waitress’ were very friendly and attentive. I finally made my decision. I wanted the Sundae Extravaganza french toast — topped with caramel mascarpone, hot fudge, candied bacon, homemade brownies, crumbled waffle cones, powdered sugar, vanilla & chocolate drizzle. Don’t forget to order a side of thick crispy bacon. Lord have mercy. HEAVEN. My only complaint is that it took a very long time for the food to arrive. I understand it was busy so I will take that into consideration but when you are sitting in a bar area its mostly for quick service.(Please note bar area does not serve alcohol). All in all, this was a fantastic experience for breakfast/brunch and I would return some time in the near future. It would be nice if this place opened up some where in Central Jersey, i.e. New Brunswick or Edison. TWOTHUMBSUP!!!

I’ve been here twice already and it is easily my new favorite breakfast spot. SO much better than Toast and the Turning Point. Both times I had some sort of french toast and I cannot believe how creative their food is! The coffee drinks are good too. I think this place is a great value for what you get. Their bacon is the thickest I’ve ever been served in a restaurant. Meemom’s is always the first place that comes to mind when someone asks where do I want to eat before 1 pm. This place will not disappoint! My only complaint is that I wish they had picked a bigger location.

Stopped in to Meemom’s for brunch with a date on a Monday and was rather impressed. We sat at the bar and were taken care of by Caitlyn who was genuine, sweet and attentive. I’m a coffee snob, as is my date, and we are a bit tough to impress — but agreed that the cold brew is fantastic. Try it. So smooth. The reviews here made me very excited to check out the Benedicts, and I chose the Cajun Shrimp Benedict. It was a great balance of flavor. Don’t be intimidated by the jalapeños and«Cajun» in the title. This is not gratuitously spicy or in-your-face heat. The shrimp, sausage, and mild(very mild) jalapeños created a mélange of flavors over poached egg and homemade garlic biscuits. The ingredients are simple, but the interplay of the flavors is complex. This was a great choice and I recommend trying it. My dining companion had the Jersey omelette. With generously sized chunks of pork roll, this simple savory dish was hearty and well presented. Neither of us could really eat the sweeter choices, but agreed that they too looked scrumptious. Definitely go and check this place out. Clean. Friendly. Delicious. I love shouting out local places that are doing things right! I’m not even from this area, but I would come back just to grab brunch here.

Just to the right of the UPS store in the ShopRite Plaza in Middletown is a brash newcomer that is worth your attention for breakfast & brunch. My wife & I decided to celebrate the new year in a new restaurant. If the rest of the year goes as well as this, we’ll all be fine! My wife had the Crazy Banana French Toast. It was so large that I had to help her finish it off. We both can testify that is was a delight. I ordered the Short Rib Benedict since it was the most unusual thing on the menu. Although tasty, it was a bit odd overall so I won’t order it again. We both enjoyed our hot coffee treats. She had the Carol’s Coffee special, since her name is Carol & she’s a real bean fiend. She loved it’s rich mocha latte taste, graced with whipped cream. I ordered the Crazy Grandpa, in honor of our 2 granddaughters. With a musky dark chocolate flavor, give it a try. In fact, try either of these libations for a real treat.(See our pics, showing our drinks & entrees.) Now to the down side… With it’s NYC techno-retro décor & shotgun hall layout, the place is noisy. The Techno-Pop music is grating & makes conversation below a bellow difficult. They should switch to more mellow music to reduce the din & improve the intimacy. In conclusion, we believe they are the only real brunch competition in the area to the Turning Point in Holmdel. We give the Turning Point the advantage of 5 stars for their laid back Jersey Shore ambience & mellow, relaxed atmosphere.

I challenge anyone to find a better French toast in the area… good luck, b/c you won’t! This place is a sweet breakfast dream come true! Cookie Doughn’t You Want Some still has me thinking about it weeks later…

This is one of the best breakfast places in the area. I have been to the other location a while back and I really liked it so I thought I would stop by and check this one out to see how it compared. Once again, the food and service was fantastic. I was concerned because it was a little bit busy but we got right in and had our food in no time. Make sure to try the Churro French Toast it is excellent.

This was the first time I came here for breakfast with my husband and my Mom. Very friendly wait staff and beautiful décor. The food was excellent! I loved the coffee selections for either hot or cold options. Also a great selection of different hot teas. The sweet potato hash tasted very very good and perfectly done but it wasn’t the best with the breakfast food for my taste. Our waitress was wonderful to have. She knew everything about the menu and always had great selections when I was having a hard time to decide. They didn’t have the short ribs available to have which I was a little disappointed with… they looked very good on the menu… but at least I can’t wait to return and hopefully be able to try them the next visit. I highly recommend this place. If it’s a Sunday morning get here early like we did. It was already filled up when we walked in at 8:40 am and many people waiting for tables when we left at 10. They open at 7am and only do breakfast and lunch. This please is a wonderful addition to the area! Can’t wait to go back.

Delicious! Cute little spot tucked in shopping plaza. Clean. Fast. Fresh! I had salad and panini. Homemade dressing and fresh ingredients. And they have a counter at coffee bar for us dining alone.

Stopped in for a late breakfast to try this new spot we have heard so much about. They have a nice offering of coffee drinks that are super reasonable all at $ 4 for a huge mug. I had the Samoa which was super sweet and made perfectly. My husband had the strawberry cheesecake French toast that came with marscapone, strussel, vanilla bean drizzle, and fresh strawberries. It was amazing! At first, I though it was going to be overly sweet from the description but it really wasn’t. Very well done. I had the short rib benedict which had Guinness onions and horseradish cream hollandaise. The short rib was a bit fatty and that wasn’t so great. It comes with the signature«spuds» which they say are there version of home fries. They were kind of like homemade potato chips but way over seasoned with their Cajun blend. Not so good. We will definitely be back! Liked it here.

First time here. Place was clean and staff was great. The food was delicious. I had rt 35 loved it. Next I will be trying the French toast they are apparently famous for. I highly recommend trying this place out. Looks like it can get busy but from what I can tell it’s worth the wait.

thank you for opening a second location 10 minutes from my house! I may be quite selfish but we used to drive half hour to wall for this food, it’s THATGOOD! first off, everyone who works here is super nice. you can tell it isn’t forced and that it’s clearly a comfortable and fun place to be. we came the second day(we couldn’t help ourselves) and while they were still ironing out the kinks, we were out of there in an hour. even the owner remembered us when we came back the next week(don’t judge!) typically we stick with breakfast. all the french toasts we’ve had are AMAZING. I personally have a soft spot for their benedicts, and their breakfast quesadilla is absolutely delicious. that Krispy Kreme donut… dear god get the donut!!’ it’s battered in french toast mix and done on a flat top with fresh berries. you don’t even need the syrup that comes with it, it’s THATGOOD. if you’re in the mood for lunch, please get the Mac and cheeses. they’re a perfect portion and probably some of the best I’ve ever had. the cold brew is done perfectly and literally anything you’ll get will knock your socks off. keep in mind it’s a small place, prime time on a weekend I’m sure you’ll be waiting for a while and it’ll be busy, but it’s SO worth it.

Good to see something new in the area, glad someone took a chance. There is something new other than diners which serve frozen outdated food, I hope they make it they have a lot of room for improvement. Needs more vegetarian friendly options, every item on the menu is made with meat or cheese. Attention is needed in the cleansing of silverware and glassware. Never ending/bottomless cup of coffee would be a treat if someone would remember to come around and refill the cup. I’ll give this place another chance after the hectic season and hopefully things will be better. Waitstaff was courteous but very rough around the edges, they should know more about their ingredients and how items are made. Good luck«Meemom.» Thanks for taking a chance, keep improving your food and the town.
