Ortho On-Call

Very polite staff but the WAIT IS UNNECESSARY! We came on a Saturday with only 2 other people ahead of us with only 1 P.A. seeing patients (no doctors) =2+ hour office visit!

This is the second time I have used this establishment. The first time was approximately 3 months ago when my daughter fractured her wrist. I was pleased with the staff. Tonight the experience was awful.
I arrived at today approx 5:45 pm the receptionist seemed very busy to even greet. She did warm up and I really appreciated all the help she gave. In addition to the young lady who helped my 6 year old into a wheel chair because she couldn’t put pressure on her foot. She reassured my daughter and made her feel comfortable. Then it went down hill.
While getting to a room and X rays were pretty quick. I waited approximately an hour in the room while the staff chatted about getting the «dream team» together again. Mind you there was no one waiting when I arrived and the physician assistant was sitting at the desk.
The nurse’s bedside manner was very lack luster only addressing my daughter and asking her questions she wouldn’t know the answer to like names of medication, height, and weight. Finally the doctor arrived ill prepared. He had not viewed the X-​rays prior to walking in the room in which he learned the sheets were blank. After assessing my 6 year old for approximately 8 — 10 mins he suggested shoe opt boot. The nurse assisted with the boot but the boot was too small and my daughter was in excruciating pain when she applied pressure. We waited 15 mins for the doctor to return. He states the boot was ok but clearly my daughter toes were hanging over the boot. When my 6 year cried when he tried to reapply the boot because of the pain PA John Impastato told my daughter he «doesn’t have all night to prod her. He was back in the room only 2 – 3 mins at the point. As he gave instructions he told me my daughter was having some drama issues and she would need to «learn» to walk in the boot. At this point I’m over the doctor and the nurse.
If my daughter was being hysterical and outrageous I would totally understand but simply was not the case. Yes she was crying and saying it hurt. The PA and the nurse bedside manner was totally unprofessional and I wouldn’t recommend their services at any establishment. Who treats a 6 year old with no compassion. I understand everyone has a bad day but clearly this was more than a bad day. My daughter didn’t deserve that treatment.

I cannot begin to explain how infuriating this establishment and it’s employees are. The receptionist was nice, I’ll say that much. The x-​ray technician was obviously not experienced in patient care, forcing me to stand on my injured leg for 10 minutes when I could barely stand for 1. She was cold and overall unprofessional. I sat in the lobby for 2 hours waiting to be seen and then sat for a subsequent 2 hours in the back waiting for the Dr.
On my return, to recieve an all clear for work, I once again had to sit, waiting, in a patient room for 2 hours before being seen. There was only one other person being seen at the time mind you. By far this is the worst orthopedic establishment I’ve ever had the displeasure of coming to. Next time folks, go to an actual orthopedic office with employees who are experienced in patient care!

Walked in today… Place was empty, staff couldn’t be bothered to end their conversation, they were cold and the place was a mess.
Avoid this one if you can.

Better than taking my daughter to the emergency room. Usually a short wait and very professional
