My recommendation: fill up in gas
This little gas station and convenience store might be your last/​final chance to get gas before getting into the park! So fill up because even though something looks close enough on the maps, there a lot of switchbacks that you will burn through your gas on!
This store is extreme toy reasonably priced for gas and all the goodies inside despite being at an edge of park location! A red bull here was $ 2.50… Very standard. The owner/​attendant was extremely friendly and pleasant.
Credit card for purchases of $ 10 or more only though!
