Fat Daddy’z Crawfish

My friend got a cockroach in her food. OMG… never go back!!!

Hello everyone. I hope that this review will be able to help you from making the same mistake I did. This not the first time I have gone to Fat Daddy, but this will be the last time. I’m tired of their service:
1. It doesn’t matter if you want to come 45 – 50 minutes before closing time, the waitresses will always tell not to come.
2. I stood at the door waiting for at least 5 – 10 minutes before someone showed up to lead me to a table.
3. We came at 5:30, it was 6:00 PM just for the waitress to come to take our order. (I don’t think multitask is a strong point at this restaurant. She was able to bring food out for another table… There was only 4 customer at the restaurant including my friend and I. There was 3 waitress.)
4. We ordered their fresh crawfish — Ordering Everything in The Sink & Garlic Lemon, medium & mild. All the crawfish came out sour and absolute no heat. Not to mention that the crawfish tasted like boiled crawfish. There was no taste, it was a total waste of money.
Long story short: Horrible Service & tasteless food. I will continue to tell all of my families and friends of my experience at Fat Daddy.

They posted open at 1:00 on Sat. We starving arrive at 1:00 one girl came out and said they won’t open till 2:00! Are you kidding me? Why you reject customer outside and never follow the schedule?! Unsatisfied!

We got 1lb Shrimp «The Kitchen Sink» Mild and 2lbs crawfish «The Kitchen Sink» Medium with 1lb sausage. The flavoring was pretty good. My only disappointment was that my 1lb shrimp looked and felt like a ½lb and as a fan of places likes these, I know how a 1lb of shrimp looks like and that definitely felt and looked like ½lb. I was starving so I just ate it. Also, the servers DO NOT look happy about being there. Mind you, we were one of the first customers there for lunch and there was only about 3 – 4 tables taken. Our server probably had 2 tables to take care of but took FOREVER to pay us any attention. By then, we were ready to go. I would go back to satisfy my crawfish/​shrimp craving since it’s really the only one in a 100 mile radius but I am definitely not tipping if they cut me short of the weight of my food and the service we get from our servers. I paid for 1lb of shrimp and did not get 1lb and I wasn’t about to pay for a unhappy inattentive server.

Great place with great food… This is my favorite place for crawfish. So much better than boiling crab in Dallas. And the oysters are always big and delicious! Staff needs a little work though… Service is not that great.

I am an all or nothing kind of person. Either I like it or I don’t and this place is definitely a don’t. I have been twice and each time my food was hot on the outside and cold on the inside. The waitresses have funky attitudes as well. This place sucks and the only thing that sucks even more than the burnt crab rangoon and dry ass rice is the waitresses attitudes.

I’ve been here before, I normally enjoy their crayfish. we ordered from the Asian menu and also ordered 3 lbs of fresh crayfish. the crayfish were fresh at one time, but not today. I believed they were cooked then frozen and then recooked for my order. they didn’t have the same fresh juiciness in the cephalothorax and the tails were mush. I asked specifically for non spicy garlic butter and they were spicy (another sign of being precooked). I mentioned something to the waitress (who was more interested in the two young guys at the table across from us) she just apologized and went about her way and back to the other table. we had to ask for napkins, togo container etc. maybe all they had were frozen crawdads since it’s the winter months. but don’t charge me $ 8.99/lb and have it posted fresh.
furthermore, bring each guest’s food at the same time. my companion received her food 10 mins before mine and I kept eating off her plate since I just got off a 16 hour shift and I was starving.
normally they are good, but tonight they sucked.
p. s. maybe don’t hire unenthusiastic teenagers if your service is known to suck.

The place is adjacent to a phở restaurant so the servers were mainly hanging out over there. This was a very small place, maybe three tables and a bar. We ordered crawfish and blue crab a pound each. They came out with a bucket and we had to crack open everything. It was very messy. The crabs were females and pregnant which meant less meat. The crawfish was actually a decent size. I give it two stars because 1) the customer service was lacking. It would have been nice to been checked on more often. 2) the atmosphere was trying too hard to be an easy coast beach feel, 3) the food was okay. Probably won’t come back to this one. My bf is from east coast and wanted a taste of home but he didn’t find it here.

the crawfish is really small and not fresh. I will never eat crawfish in this restaurant

Great crawfish but sucky service!
