Gold’s gym charges $ 40 per month for membership and the hours are not always accommodating. I had surgery and didn’t end up getting back to the gym as a result. I got busy and kept forgetting to do something about the account. I also thought I would be returning sooner or later. After a year of absence, I was told I had to go in person to cancel. When I got there, they tried every way to get me to stay. They wanted to make all kinds of deals to get me to stay. I told them that if they ever checked their records they would have seen I had been charged for over a year with no attendance. As a good business practice, wouldn’t it have been decent to contact a patron to say, «why are you not coming?», instead of just tapping the bank account every month. Where were the deals them??? I am going to start back to a gym, but it won’t be one with a contract or one that will bill me monthly. Quite a racket!!!

As a working Mom its not easy to find enough time to get to the gym. Thanks to the amazing daycare staff at Golds Gym Milford, I am able to get in at least 3 workouts a week, all while knowing my daughter is well cared for and having fun. Bobbi & Chrissy are AMAZING and take great care of the kids so that parents can workout worry free. We chose this gym based on the daycare alone and are very happy we did. As far as the gym itself, it is well managed and clean. They do a good job on incorporating new equipment. Maintenance on the cardio equipment can be slow. The class selection is limited, standard Les Mills BodyCombat, Pump & Vive. Would be nice to see some additional bootcamp offerings.

I joined the gym in January, no not a New Year’s resolution, I moved. Tyler was very thorough during my registration. He explained the various plans and gave me a tour of the facility. I am a six day a week gym girl and have really enjoyed the classes. Many gyms cater to the during the day schedule and forget about the people that work and need to take classes at night. Let’s see, my favs… turbo kick, Body Vive, Body Pump and my «love/hate» relationship with Boot Camp… yes I said that Fraser(giggle, giggle) I did the 12 week challenge and Abby enthusiastically guided me through the process. I was doing it for myself, not the national competition. The 3X check in with a trainer was a great way to stay on track and to be sure that I was using the equipment properly. She was also great to check in with about nutrition… Yes I know Abby… protein, protein, protein; as I’m drinking my breakfast protein drink as I do this review. I highly recommend this gym for all… don’t be weary when you see the military muscle men… this gym supports everyone.

I’ve been a member for 9 years and have seen the change in attention to aesthetics of Gold’s Gym in Milford. Definitely on just a maintenance or «as needed» updates for equipment. The steam room has been«out of service» since May. I think every time they start a painting job they on get 80% done. I love the classes; they have great instructors. Childcare is good; although I’ve witness may times the caretaker on their phones. Basically you get what you pay for.

Awesome gym– One of the best in the area. Good mix of old school bodybuilding and new functional trendy stuff. If you know what you are doing– great place to workout. If you are a newbie– you may get lost– and their training staff is an army of one– really. One guy-and the others are pretty sub par. Management is pretty good– the front desk is wonderful– they call you by name and traet you right. Love it. Get your pump on at Gold’s!

I’ve been a member here on an off over the course of the last 4 years. One thing I’ve noticed is that they’re good about getting new machines in, especially in the cardio section. They have a large cardio section with a mix of treadmills, ellipticals and a few bikes. They have a large selection of weight machines and a good free weight section. There’s a tanning booth and lessons as well. Although I’ve not checked those out. They have a PLAYAREA for kids. I think this is great so that Mom’s and Dad’s can get their kids off their hands and take out their child related frustration in a healthy way ! The locker rooms are in good shape. All in all it’s a nice place to workout, the staff are helpful and friendly.
